A bit too boring for me, so I dropped it. However, there was nothing terrible about the episodes I watched, a bit frustrating at times, but solid acting and production, so try it for yourself.

Haha, my sister is the romantic one. 😂 Thriller/horror/murder mystery is my favorite. Lol After something dark, though, I need a good palate cleanser, so I tend to go to comedy or slice of life, usually with a good bromance. 👍

It's true. I know some people love the romance genre but it's just not for me. 😅 Give me action, fantasy, mystery, comedy, family feels, tear-jearkers, etc but no mushy stuff. It makes me uncomfortable. Lol Honestly, I just want strong friendships in everything. 😁
This had so much potential. 😭 A fashion designer making bespoke clothes for his model boyfriend? Yes, please! But this was so choppy at times. I have so many questions. Maybe I missed things or I'm just dumb, but what was Yeong Woo and Ye Bin's past? Friends? Boyfriends? Not sure. Why did Ki Jin stop seeing Yeong Woo? Did he actually go to New York? Unclear. Why did Yeong Woo except Ki Jin back after an entire year of (I assume) silence? Yeong Woo and Ye Bin are pals now? Why? How?
I was okay with some of the unanswered questions until the whole Ki Jin ghosting/leaving Yeong Woo. It was seriously like they wanted to do the tired trope of splitting the couple up for a while (which I have never understood the need of) but didn't bother to come up with even a half-assed reason as to why.
The mains had chemistry and were cute together (I would watch them in another drama). The production was good and the OST was clean and catchy, too, but the story was too disjointed.
If someone can explain more of the gaps in the show I would be delighted to learn, but as it stands this show was a mess by the end. 7/10 because I did like it until the ending and with a clearer script this could have been great. Plus Yeong Woo's dad was a cutie, so an extra star.
If you like brotherhood/friendship dramas, do yourself a favor and watch this immediately! The summary and the rating (currently 7.8) do not do it justice. Reading the comments it seems to be mostly a problem with previous subtitles but now we have Viki subs and we should all be thankful. 😭
I don't even know where to start with the things I loved about this show. We can talk about the essentials like acting (incredible) and storyline (precious and lovely) but there are plenty of dramas with good acting and a good plot. Mainly IDWTBBWY is a dramedy about family (don't let the clichéd summary make you think this is some high-school love triangle nonsense) and friends, growing up and learning. The show has problems but more than makes up for it overall. There were more than a few instances where I was worried they would drag out misunderstandings and certain storylines but they didn't! It was so refreshing that most of the characters talked (or if they didn't, they still found out the relevant information to stop the misunderstandings from continuing) and I was very satisfied with the character growth throughout the series.
I definitely recommend watching this for family feels, not for romance. You could maybe watch it as a BL but even I (someone who has been wearing BL tinted glasses since 2000) found this more enjoyable as a brotherhood story. I hope more people watch this on Viki and it gets the rating it deserves. 9.5 (half a star off for Beibei's excessive crying).
P.S. Xiaowen and Jia are best babies. They deserve all the happiness.
This had some issues but if you watch it strictly as the rather campy show it is, it's an amazing and very fun watch. I wish some BL couples had the chemistry these two do. And I know there's source material and everything but if something can be staight-washed than things can gay-washed too, and this would have been a stellar BL (I still watched it as one, anyway). I would definitely watch it, if just for the relationship between the MLs because they're precious and sweet, funny and heartwarming at the same time. I didn't know I needed a grumpy merman in my life but here we are. Bruce He was the absolute star of the show. 🥰

So incredibly good! I laughed and cried, loved and hated characters, and throughly enjoyed the ride. Found family will always be my favorite thing. Also, nobody makes you dislike a character at the start and then love them so much you would die for them by the end better than K-dramas.
This story is about a disaster twink, a hot mess behind a calm exterior, a baby-faced mastermind who doesn't mind a bit of tortue and bloodshed, and their daughter who's smarter than all of them.
Episode 9 left me in tatters. I cried so much, it still makes me cry thinking about it 😣
Same! I actually had to pause before the next episode started, so I could try and get myself together. At the start, I thought it seemed a little fillery and was going to be a lighter side story.....boy howdy, was I wrong. So, so wrong. Episode 9: the best and the worst episode. Warning for "you will be a crying, snotty mess after this. Your husband WILL ask if you are okay. If you have them, remember to hold all animals close to you so you may weep uncontrollably into their soft fur. Please, hold on. It gets better, but have tissues on standby."
