Title The Spirealm Spoiler
So from my understanding regarding on the ending, it's a Virtual Reality dream that Liu Jiu Shi (090) had. It could be an alternate world where the game truly exist but got time reverse (like the Moon in the Mirror clock) when it was purified and Ling Jiu Shi after 50 years became that creator of the purified game with this exact game model and idea instead of his friend whom made the Death one (though technically the Americans did something to his original creation they say)

The people 090 knew don't know him back in the real world after he woke up from his coma, but their names are correct. This means that there is something real regarding on the memory he had, and there is also something not real since everyone don't know who he is or what the game he is talking about. Virtual Reality? Augmented Reality? Could be both. But waking up without the existent of this game means that 090 can be the new creator of that game and bring the real life characters back to life in this same virtual world that he knew but without all the need to kill and die etc., and thus fulfilled his Dream. It took him 50 years, but welcome back. This is why the characters all become NPC in the virtual world where they don't age and live together again just like they once did in Obsidian. And the real world Obsidian house was someone else's.

The people who played this game came to know each other despite initially they don't in the real world after 090 invention of this Spirealm "new" game (Li Dong Yuan and Xiong Qi at their old age). 090 ended up using what he knew during his coma to create a Virtual Reality, a Reality yet not the actual Reality. People don't die in the real world if they die in game but they also end up being friends because of this game. Seems real, but fake. Seems fake, but real.

There are some more obvious plot holes especially near to the end of this drama. But it is still a very well acted drama with great scripts and settings. Hope the box office serve the production well because the production definitely is expensive. Kudos to all the actors, actresses especially the young ones like our Lead actors here. Although it's a covered up love story due to Chinese censorship, but can obviously tell the 2 ML are more than just platonic friends. Ruan Lan Zhu fell first although not sure if it's because he was programmed to know 090 in the first place, but 090 also showed the same kind of BL's concern especially near to the end. In the beginning it seem more 1 sided for Ruan Luan Zhu as 090 treat every friends like his family, similarly. But sharing experiences and near death together with Ruan Luan Zhu's care and concern can tell they feel the same for each other even if they didn't say it due to the censorship.

I only came to know about this drama a few days ago and binge watch this while putting a pause to every other things I am watching

The production budget in this seems to be very high, there are many actors, actresses and CGI involved. Actors like Liu Rio Gu playing double roles so well displaying maturity and playfulness in 2 different characters at such a young age was a really fanciful watch.

But ultimately, the 2 ML and their friendship with the others were the best to watch imo in this journey of virtuality. And it was really sad when the good guys died. Reminds me alittle bit of the concept of Sword Art Online anime and Squid Game. Augmented Reality, and Virtual Reality. Thankfully nobody actually died in the real world and it was a dream previously

OK, so I know this is supposed to be trashy and soapy, but is the FL seriously trying to seduce her own brother??…

Tbh, it was a good watch when everything is at peace.

But I can't stand FL mum raising her voice whenever she argues. But at least she learned to understand eventually that not everything should be by her values. She said she was awkward with the ML and can't initiate a Convo but when ML initiates, she suddenly become a fangirl lol. All's good after.

Another thing I don't like is FL attitude at times. Sometimes she is a gaslighter, although yes she did apologise, but her apology wasn't so much of an apology. I think ML has high tolerance level, able to forgive and understand FL alot more times although she doesn't seem deserving at times. But then, she's the only person whom kinda made ML feel happiness, so it's good that they eventually they worked things out

Actors and actresses acting Hae-In's Grandfather, Father, Mother and Mistress lady are literally just siblings age irl and have to act 1 generation difference.
Actors and actresses acting Hyun Woo's Father, Mother, Brother and Sister are also of similar age irl and they also act 1 generation difference. If everyone's good acting make thing believable, this is what call a good drama.

While I cannot rmb specifically, but VIU seems abit delay today regarding on Ep 8, as far as I have watched the previous Episodes, it's not release yet

I still like this drama. It's more of a romance drama afterall.

I would like to suggest people who haven't watch it to not care so much about the plot but just focus more on the 2 leads. They were the most bearable to watch without toxicity as toxicity are from people of the 3rd parties just like many typical Cdramas

However, their love and chemistry here are one of the best because they are less conservative and more daring to love. The intimacy and a few comedy added wasn't cringy, but made me very shy to watch. And I really love watching them as they does feel like a real couple

Misunderstanding resolved within 1 episode LOL.

I LIKE THEIR RELATIONSHIP even though there's many plotholes and weird storyline flow

in which epp does her family know she is sick
None, the only family members that knew were her Husband and Aunt, and later her Mother-In-Law at Ep 10. Ep 11 might be the first ep her family know as she herself declare to the whole world that she doesn't have long to live.
On Step by Step Love Apr 10, 2024
Idc who turn evil tbh. The ML character for the plot here has very strong IQ and the relationship with FL seems to be running very strong so far. Loving their relationship and the intimacy they have for each other even though it's just acting. Dayumms
On Step by Step Love Apr 9, 2024
Honestly, the story plot is alittle weak. The "villains" currently don't seem to be able to sway the ML much. But I am all good to just enjoy the romance between the 2 leads. They acted decently imo and Ep 17 was epic. I just don't recall the ML knowing his sister ever told him that she recovered her memories then suddenly he knew in Ep 18

So I have watched Ep 1 and the plot bothers me alittle in terms of giving me the "FL lying and betraying the ML at her initial intention then the ML eventually found out" vibe

So did the ML get angry and pissed with the FL at one point after knowing the truth or the FL told the truth herself and the ML understands and they still got together happy?

I don't wanna compare movies but I enjoyed this more than Your Name Engraved Here In. It was beautiful. He Shang did really well here imo, and so did the young MLs.
