I meant that the humour was causing me to detach from the plot.

Watching this is a test in patience for me LOL
We already know Yo’s perspective. We saw what happened, and naturally, I’m most aligned with him. We are seeing the story through his eyes.
I mentioned last week that the humor feels a bit ill timed, and now we’re being treated to extended sermons from Monk Jom on righteousness and wisdom.
The trouble is, I’m already firmly in Yo’s corner. I’m angry with him, which makes Jom’s well meaning counsel feel more like insufferable self-righteousness.
Perhaps the narrative flow would have been more effective had we followed Jom’s perspective instead, or, better yet, if we weren’t spoon fed Yo’s backstory from the onset. Introduce him as he is now, let us assume he’s just another entitled brat, and then twist the knife by revealing the truth later.
As it stands, I remain undecided. But my primary engagement so far is just a series of deep, weary sighs LOL

I'm assuming that Sack is going to eventually find Yo and Jom can be face to face with Sack and psychopathic eyes. Maybe even have a gun aimed at his head. How Yo is not walking around traumatized in beyond me. This is where this thai humour is falling a bit short a bit short.

OK. I'm still watching but episode two felt like a big lecture on swallowing pride, and right and wrong behaviour but the biggest one is missing and that's doing what Yo did for Oat.
LISTEN and VALIDATE someone's pain.

sigh --- i hope everyone finds out what Yo sacrificed because it's frustrating watching someone get treated liked an asshole when they are in trouble because no one protected them to start with. Yes, hes a spoilt brat but thats not why he's danger or was expelled.

In the tradition of social media, I can imagine the imaginary tweets to this fictional situation - Tae is suffering from 3rd degree burns, is seeking therapy, he's being bullied behind the scenes, he needs all the support he can get etc You know, the usual soap opera, complete with outrage, hyper analysis, and petitions 😂

ok.....promising start - I'll be interested see if it was a set up to oust him from his position. It's easy to steal other people's idea's, esp as Phi was so popular but the original source of creativity is the leads together. I have utter faith, Phi will be on top again, and this time with his boo.

Vampire abilities always seem like a twisted reflection of who they were in life e.g Mark was a frail human but as a vampire is a healer.

Oh, the possibilities with a vampire Tong. Would he be the ultimate vampire? Would he keep his senses? Would they be heightened even more? No need to feed on humans or golden blooded humans and since Thara and her cult have been busy devouring them, I imagine a golden blooded vampire has never existed before, and that Mark did mention that a vampire wouldnt be able to stop anyway.

So Vampire Tong could rewrite all the vampire rules. Tong, the walking myth, kicking Thara’s ass, seizing leadership, and becoming the guardian of future golden-blooded souls.
And then he and Mark can slo - mo walk into eternity with an awesome rock backing track LOL

An unfeeling, empty eternal existence, not something he'd wish upon Tong. If it does happen, I can only assume near death and desperation will be the culprit. Case in point - Episode 2 concluded with Mark solemnly vowing he’d never drink Tong’s blood, and my brain instantly countered with: “Ah, I think that was the sound of the writer laughing at you.” LOL

You see, I grew up with Buffy and Queen of the Damned, not twilight though, but I believe Bella did as well, when the human lover or a group fanatics, wanted to be turned to a vampire. That it has never been mentioned here, just makes me wonder, oh wow, you're either really not going to go through with it, or it's meant to be a surprise that we all see coming, like Thara. Lol

So is Tong getting hurt in the final battle that will force Mark to turn him to a vampire, or is mark going to get hurt saving Tong and it's going to be like Rapunzel....but then that would mean Tong getting hurt enough to lose the golden blood. Would like a mother gothel death of Thara ......will Nakan get his wish? Will he die trying?
You know what would be really funny, if Thara gets a scar type of ending, like getting splashed with tongs golden blood or something and all her followers eating her by mistake 😂😂😂 that would be the funniest karma to me 😂
