Oh I absolutely didnāt think you were taking a dig at my critical thinking skills - I was just stating that that much is obvious enough just not presented or excited enough.
Also I am very excited to see how the story and characters unfold. Like even though I have issues with the writing, you better believe I am glued to my laptop every Friday lol.
100% agree. I'm just too lazy to write it down like you did. I will add one more thing: the editing. GMMTV is…
To be honest, Iām not bothered by the issues to. Usually the only thing that could bother me in a show is either writing or acting. The writing here is poor like I said but the acting makes up for it, and so does the chemistry. I just noticed the editing bit but I canāt say Iām too bothered by it or even bothered at all. Also, I actually like the music. Like there is this one instrumental that plays in the background sometimes during romantic moments that I loveee.
Also I agree with you regarding not me but I canāt say much for the gifted cause I never finished the first season and it was long ago that I watched it. I do remember appreciating the ādarkerā atmosphere and suspense compared to other GMMTV dramas. I donāt know if I still would think that now.

I completely agree with you. I see all what you mentioned, and I am aware that at the heart of it the uniforms are not the issue because I can use critical thinking. But I just donāt think it was set up well thatās all. They shouldāve explored more interesting stuff more deeply in my opinion.
As for the Ayan watching Akk - also agree. Thatās why like I said itās my weakest point cause it couldāve been omitted and the omission wonāt make the plot inconsistent. I still personally woulda liked to see a bit of Ayan observing Akk. Also, unrelated but ironically even though things are in a way from Akkās perspective like you said, I feel like I know Ayan as a person and the motivation behind him way more than Akk. Like I feel like I donāt know Akk as a person truly - below the āprefectā surface. I like that part though. If the writers show us more and more of Akkās personality and depth in the upcoming episodes, then Iāll have to give them credit for the unfolding of Akkās character. It would be well done!

YESSS THE EDITING!! The choppy editing hand in hand with the poorish writing makes it worse. I also personally would have loved a darker atmosphere. I expected one with the glimpses of the trailer. Something similar to the gifted (I have yet to finish the gifted though but the atmosphere is immaculate from what I remember).
Also glad to see someone agrees and I am not just picky lol.
So my one (major) issue with the show is the writing. Honestly, I think the writing of the show is not very good, and here are a few examples on why (minor spoilers only unless I specify that itās a major spoiler): - The building of the world is poor and ridiculous. I know they are going for a cult-like vibes in the school, but I donāt think thatās done well. Itās like they are telling us: āI swear this school is so cult like. Just take my word for it.ā Without actually showing us. I mean maybe theyāll show us later, but I feel like by episode 6 they shouldāve done a better job at showing it already. - The issues the world protestors or whoever are trying to fight are ridiculous?? Like uniforms?? Seriously? Add other issues for godās sake. Or expand on the homophobia the school members show towards the protestors more. Like there was literally like one scene that showed the homophobia and I was like: āhold on the school is ignoring homophobic behaviour but we are focusing on uniforms instead?ā And hell if youāre so set up on the uniform issue, DO A BETTER JOB AT PRESENTING SAID ISSUE. Like maybe show us why uniforms are bad. Convince us. It seems the show does a bad job at the convincing aspect. Like it keeps throwing info at us and goes ājust go with it.ā - A lot of the time, it feels like the show is ignoring common sense and easy solutions to amp up the drama. Like why not just call the parents of the protestors? Cause when like the principle guy threatened to call (not even call) the parents, the temporarily behave themselves. Did they do that and I missed it? Even so - why not suspend them? OR HELL EXPELL THEM?? Did the school like hire the so-called curse to do their job for them? Like whatās going on?? - (Major spoiler): there are some inconsistencies in characters in my opinion. This is not as bad as the other points but it still bugs me from time to time. For instance: so Ayan saw Akk taking the car of the break in the very beginning, right? And yet even though he is literally in the school to find out about āhow the school deals with those who misbehaveā, he confront Akk later than logical imo. Okay Iāll excuse that since maybe he might have believed from the start that someone might be behind Akk. Alright fine. But then, why did he show no signs of āobservingā Akk. Like at all. It was always Akk observing Ayan. Were the writers worried that we would figure out Akk is the one bringing the curse back if they showed any glimpses of Ayan observing him? Nah - I feel like it woulda made sense. But idk. This point I keep going back on forth on whether I am the issue or the writing lmao.
I feel like Iāll remember shit Iām forgetting right after I post this (but eh I can always add), but yeah the writing is not the best in my opinion. Itās quite inconsistent and more of telling without showing.
All the above being said though, I will 10000% keep watching. Hell, I look forward to this every wake and it makes my Friday. Why? Because the acting is phenomenal. And the chemistry? Oh the chemistry. I could write novels about how fabulous the chemistry of our leads in this show is. NOVELS PLURAL. Donāt get me started on the kiss. DO NOT. Because I will ramble on about it in tears. The writers did do a great job on that scene I will give them that. But, the actors also have one of the best chemistries on tv in my opinion hands down. So, yeah. Thank you for coming to my TedTalk.
OK, I figured out what must have happened. The person who wrote the first 23 episodes died and his younger brother,…
I haven't watched a single episode of this show and this comment has me laughing my ass off oml xD Out of curiosity, what did happen? Spoilers are more than okay!
Has anyone also watched Our Blues? Which one is more worth watching? Personally, I prefer the cast in My Liberation…
I tried watching my blues after I watched this one - but I put it on pause for now. This story, to me, is more unique and enjoyable. Even though it is "slow", it is gripping. I am so in love with this story, I am trying to find shows with similar vibes to fill the void until Saturday. I also think you're bound to relate to the characters here - literally never related to a character more. But, that's just. my opinion.
Iām sorry. There is a āwhoever falls in love first loses betā? Was it in the preview or novel or trailer?…
True true I wouldnāt be shocked if it was a lie but I also wouldnāt be shocked if it wasnāt simply because Iāve seen how both characters are quite prideful
Was I the only one who found it interesting that when Pat was asking Pran about Ink and said "wouldn't you like me", he listed the good things that would make Pran and not Ink like him. I feel like if Pat truly was only thinking about Ink, he woulda said something like, "if you were ink wouldn't you like me. I did this and that for her blah blah". I don't know if I am making sense. But it is quite interesting that he chose to list the reasons Pran would like him. Is he maybe subconsciously (or consciously) showing his desire to be liked by Pran? Thought?
I'm having MAJOR trust issues with the previews now š I was expecting some dash of fluff scenes (similar to…
