Overall it's a decent watch. I like the outfits and cinematography so far and I can see the efforts put into it. It's well done.
but then again let's talk about SOMETHING not sitting right with me.
Tian Jia rui, The guy on my profile. Yeah, My Boy Yuanzhi didi. Honestly, What happened to you here?. i was so in love with his character from My Journey to you that I had to look for his upcoming projects and found this. You WILL NOT BELIEVE HOW I WAS OVERJOYED TO SEE him here. I waited a year, partly to see him again and mainly to watch this exciting show. But I don't know but what's wrong with his character expression here? idk if it's that this expression doesn't suit him??( which I doubt because it's similar to My journey to you character of him) Or some sort of filter stuff? or just...? because his expression here IS NOT HELPING MATTERS MOST AT TIMES. it's mainly bland... expressionless... awkward.. Idk. What's wrong really? And that's honestly making his character.... Not really interesting at all.
but it's ONLY 3 episodes so let's see how he improves. Honestly I'd prefer a bubbly role for him here which brings me to the cute little boy. hahaha he's fun to watch. He got the expressions and comedic vibe. But tone it down sometimes..ok?
Honestly I'm shocked but The BEST role so far here is our male lead. HE IS KILLING THIS ROLE! evil! manipulative, Scary and FUNNY! bro is narcissistic and funny. his expressions on Point and I am shocked because I'm not really a fan of him haha.
the two girls are decent. Although sometimes the acting shakes a little from their side. But nevertheless they aren't making one raise brows. Or at least for now...
But all these about the characters are temporary because future EPs might improve stuff or..not?
Plot wise.. Ok it's decent. and I feel it's just beginning and there's more to go. And I think it gets more interesting as we go on. MAYBE I HAD LIKE A sky-high anticipation and expectations for this that's why it doesn't feel BANG for me with these few EPs. It's rather..just there. Lukewarm at some point.
The COMEDY is good. Adds layer to the show and most of the time it works. but sometimes.. please the comedy doesn't work.. it actually makes it Feel...ehh.. cringe? ( note, not always) The male lead is good with the comedy aspect considering his character. I was probably hoping for a more serious toned work that'd be heavy and tensed up. But the comedy was a decent add. just don't do it . always.
