NEWTOWN'S THIRD LAW :
Waited 3 years for this and binged it in less than a day. And One word - Loved it so s3 Please? 😂
Weak Hero Class 2 is pretty much a continuation of S1. a story SET IN SIEUN'S NEW SCHOOL WITH NEW FRIENDS AND NEW ENEMIES. EVERYTHING NEW. EMPHASIS ON THE NEW
So you don't pretty much go in expecting the whole atmosphere you got from s1 in here. And that's a mistake we all tend to make when we start this. And sure I made it too lol.
So this drama has a new feel which I find a bit different from s2. New but Not Bad at all. I went in, sadly with the whole mind of S1 here, but we gotta know That Sometimes you can't always recreate the PERFECTION of a dark horse drama ( like WEAK HERO 1) in a follow-up. For a drama like WEAK HERO 1 that no one expected to be a hit like it did, Making a S2 would come with so much pressure ( BECAUSE TRUST me there may not be a S2 if s1 was not as big as it was) But I'm GLAD they served a perfect DRAMA and STORY.
Like it's said "THE ACT OF TRANSLATION IS AN ACT OF BETRAYAL" we actually can't expect EVERYTHING IN THE WEBTOON to be follow-up exactly in it's drama. it's somewhat impossible because they're two different medias with different types of execution media. Just like All in a novel can't be done in a drama ( in terms of execution) So It's expected that changes would be made when TRANSLATING from a media to another to suit each Media standard - That's "that betrayal". But what matters is, Was the changes done nicely?
Even though I didn't read the WEBTOON, I See this as a well executed drama and that's all that matters really. For a first time eye on the work, it didn't feel messy or Bad. So that's good enough for a drama adaptation. Because sure, it could have been bad or WORSE lol. So thanks for a good follow-up
WEAK HERO 2 Has lots of positive sides to it. It was Gripping In terms of its fast-paced storyline which I appreciated. And It made it not feel boring ( trust me, even short drama Can be draggy) it was action packed, Fight scenes were WOW realistic to me sometimes that I closed my eyes most times in fear lol.
For a Short dramas, I'm Surprised this drama was able to perfectly convey The Characterizations of each character. We saw these characters and actually understood them for what they were drawn out to be. Their characters had dynamics and were immersive. And they were as immersive as the Plot itself.
The leads dynamic were fun to watch. Them becoming friends and their friendship was fun and always had me smiling. Especially with Sieun playing the Ice princess and Baku Disturbing the Ice Princess 😂 The hair brushing scene would always be iconic for meeee😂😭 Love their dynamic
The ACTING was It. it was JUST IT. I loved every bit of the acting that I can't even complain at all. I liked the way each actor delivered their roles.
This drama HONESTLY has no bad side from the point of view of one looking for a good drama and Not from ONE WHO READ THE WEBTOON OR CAME WITH HIGH EXPECTATIONS FROM S1.For a drama, It's Great.
But I wished I could have seen MORE MORE depth. I understand it's 8 EPs, 40 min. So yeah that's short for what I crave for. So it's impressive they could fit a lot nicely into it. But yeah, I'm a fan of longer content that explores depth of all. Like deep deep dive into characters, plot line and all. So 8 ep was never enough for that, so yeah that's it. I understand.
All in all, This show was a great watch. enjoyed the 8 EPs and will certainly miss this character. So I have my prayer from today.

I Wish we could get a s3 with Suho and Si Euns New Friends. Would be fun. So I'll be praying for that.
