I can't stand how all three of them feel so entitled to making WYF's life a living nightmare saying they provided for her and the father helped out of the goodness of his own heart as if they didn't choose to take her in. They should have just said no the same way the mother did. I really think she would have done better in a foster system with how toxic they were.

XXY mentioned how she thinks they aren't meant to be together because their love paths could never cross; one was single while the other was in a relationship and vice versa. I love a good friends to lovers but not for me. 😂
Also, Shen Yifan knows that their feelings are mutual. Is she not interfering because it's their lives, and they must make the choice, or because what XXY said changed things?
This uncle does way too much!! Not only is he the reason she left her life behind and has unresolved trauma, but he also follows her everywhere. Being a taxi man in Yihe to being a taxi man back in Nanwu. I was just saying, "I wish he died" during the car accident scene, but now he knows where she works and will stalk her even more. I binged episodes 15-20, and let me just say, my heart is so full!!! Oh my goodness!!! The way that Wen Yifan realised that she liked/still liked him, to telling two of her friends about it and that she wants to court Sang Yang made me so happy!! Her lying in her bed and realising how she has great people around her that love and accept her for who she is, flaw and all. She has come such a long way. Accepting her feelings for SY and telling him about her past and letting him know that she trusts him ("I know you will catch me"). She can finally be vulnerable after being strong for a good 10+ years. SY being dramatic during their dating era is a highlight for me.
I am so waiting to see what happens between Su Haoan and Zhong Siqiao. We could all see him slowly falling in love with her. She and WYF feel similar to me in the sense that they both never had someone that completely and utterly put them first, so I'm ready to see how SHA shows ZSQ that he will always put her first.
Side note: that cover scene had me screaming!! I had been waiting so long to see that scene. Also, romance makes me so weak. I feel like anyone could ask me out, and I'd say yes, so watching a romance movie on a first date is an immediate no from me. My standards need to be has high as the love San Yan has for Wen Yifan.
I missed this comment section!!! It's been a couple of days. I decided to forgo my connections and watch this drama on Netflix. That means that I got a good four episodes in one go. I forgot they were releasing three yesterday. Anyway, I had so many thoughts up until episode 14.
I was laughing and giggling most of the time but I think episode 14 was the start of showing more saddest from the two male leads. It's seeing them shift the focus to the two guys hurting or not being over what happened in the past for their own reasons and how it shaped them into the people they are now. I just want Wen Yifan to accept Sang Yan for all that he is, the love that he has to give her makes my heart burst with joy. The baby-proofing of the house sold me (I was sold in episode one). I'm glad she is starting to figure things out and the puzzle pieces of his part are being shown to her. I'm not ready for when she is finally going to tell him about everything that happened to her, I think she'll just break down and I'll probably cry with her. Although I'm not ready, I also am because it leaves room for the possibility of them which I have been wanting from the start.

They were an almost which leaves room for so much potential but all that was left were regrets. They both liked each other a lot, and just because they didn't date it can't take away the emotions they felt. They are so cautious around each other as they both still like and care about the other person. Imagine being stuck with someone you like, a crush. You are going to feel uneasy but happy and scared about all the possibilities.
Was anyone else laughing really hard in, I think it was episode five, where Su Haoan and Zhong Siqiao woke up in bed together? I replayed that scene at least 10 times. Why was SHA first question "Who are you?" while ZSQ was screaming "Why am I here?" and "Why would I know?" They seems so chaotic in the scene, which makes so much sense for SHA and I'm starting to see the chaos of ZSQ after she was spying on the grandfather with Wen Yifan.
I feel like I have so much to say and nothing all at the same time!!! The way Sang Yan takes care of Wen Yifan, he is healing her inner child. The same child who called her mom begging her to take her back, the same child who could not have chicken soup, the same child who was seen as a burden. Everything he does for her makes me smile because he means well even if his whole body is fighting the feeling.
On a side note, I'm glad she is starting to open up to somebody (Zhong Siqiao) about how she feels and how her life was with her aunt.

I also don't like when the one lead ghosts the other lead with little to no explanation. But I do think that her situation makes it tricky. You can see how bothered she is by his presence but she isn't allowing herself to be loved by him and she explains why in episode nine. It may not be a reason you like but I hope you understand it. Some people don't have the luxury to love someone, sometimes you have things that get in the way. The both care about each other so much and you can see how much of a impact they have on each other. They just show it in different ways.
I always knew that loving someone so openly and purely was not always possible. Seeing how this show portrays that, how different circumstances "guide" you into loving someone in a certain way. Sang Yan has such a loving and close-knit familial background that allows him to love and express himself so freely and openly (maybe a bit more backhanded now because of the hurt), while Wen YiFan doesn't have that. She can't the same way he loves her, not yet and that's all because of how fast she has to grow up and how much she went through at a young age. Both the Sang siblings are able to love the way they do because that's what they grew up with, while their love interests had tougher lives not allowing themselves to love and be loved in return.
I can't wait to see her choose to love him as openly and freely as he does. I need her to be selfish and choose him but she still has a lot she needs to work on to allow herself to fall for him completely.
On a final note, I hope every single person reading this, who wants love finds love as pure as the love Sang Yan gives Wen YiFan.

I agree with you. I have always loved the idea of love. I have this habit of shipping people together in my mind. Whether they are celebrities or real like people I come across.
I would love to see every single person find their own person that matches them perfectly but even if they don't stay together that they had the chance to love and be loved in a romantic way. I always feel so sad and angry when they have to hide their relationships or even break up with their partners because it's "not allowed."
So any time their is news that someone is dating, engaged or getting married I get so excited and just hope that everyone else will feel the same way.
