I really miss the death match part of The Genius. I totally understand that this is a new show with a different concept but everyone deserves an opportunity to fight for themselves. If not, the majority will always pool together to eliminate the imminent threat, which in this scenario, are the strong players. What’s the point of a game where there is no threat or tension b/w the players?
The strong contestants have to fight against each other but here they grouped up together which sent the rest of the players into a panic state. But that doesn’t mean that you relentlessly try to push the so called strong ones out, in-anyway-possible to create a so called fair play/world where only the ones with fear & herd mentality survive. If you think that you are qualified to be in the game, do your best to win, it’s annoying to see more than half of the players trying to get a free ride every round.
It’s okay to be in an alliance or wanting to get rid of the strong players but show that in your performance. If every/ at least most of the members of the “weak” players group contributed to their win, it would be a treat to watch. Sadly it isn’t the case. I root for Orbit, Seok Jin, Dong Joo & See Won. They played well to the best of their abilities & it’ll be a delight watching them face off against each other.
Not the red coat acting like she solved those puzzles, she didn’t have a clue when guillaume didn’t start…
That's true. I'm honestly disappointed by the contestants if I compare the line up with The Genius. The first game is okay but even after that most of them seem to struggle to even understand the rules, let alone manipulate them to win in an unexpected way. Orbit is one of the contestants who is overbearing to say the least. His communist idealism won't work in a game show created to be unfair & despite knowing that he tries to play the good guy card & manipulate people. Based on the preview I hope that the dynamics change from ep 5.
“They are dating” - “WHY?” WHY? 😤😠😤 What does he even mean by that? This guy is reeealy getting on my nerves. At this point (with only 4 eps remaining) his character seems irredeemable. We usually try to understand the perspective of the antagonist but in this case it’s not a matter of mere perspective, this guy’s greed, envy & ambitions have pushed aside any bit of humanity/ morality in him. The important point to note is that the protagonist is not responsible for any drastic change in his life - so what is his motive? Jealousy? Being an elite prosecutor in a reputed law firm is a privileged position in itself & if he wants to achieve more it’s up to his talent. Why is he ( despite being young & having a bright future ahead) trying to climb the ladder using unfair & dirty tricks which sabotage others?
Can't agree more!!! I love Park Hae Young's writing especially Another Miss Oh (which is the only drama that I've rated 10 to date) ❣️
Most of the dialogues in her dramas are quotable, characters are totally relatable & the plot has a beautiful message. It feels so holistic & pure. I keep reminiscing the scenes & I can never get over them.
https://images.app.goo.gl/8qGMwPctZfFFCreU6 This drama isn't very impressive objectively but it did leave an impression though its unique way of portraying emotions. I would have loved watching the characters grow but they would rather seize to exist than mend their ways so it hits closer to reality.
I'm curious about what happened to the kids & how they'd react after knowing the truth in the future. Would they deem their parents foolish or would they empathize with them?
I just want the blue jade to remain with the CP. I’m sorry but I love their bromance ^^ Why are they so adorable ? 🥰 I hope all these guys remain good pals forever.
Hold on until end of ep 6 before deciding if you like it
I fell in love with it from Ep 1 itself 😊 It’s similar to the ‘Story of Minglan’ plus the humour part is on point too. The ML was amazing in ‘The Long Ballad’ & the FL in ‘Who Rules the World’ so I’m super excited for their collaboration in this drama. The pace is just right & the dialogues are well written so I’m thoroughly enjoying it !!!
exactly. In the first ten minutes of the first episode, I felt the minglan vibes (at that point i didnt even know…
Exactly. Now the drama is almost over so I'm kinda regretting not watching it on-air but it's okay as I can go through the past comments as I watch ^^ I distracted myself with 'Who Rules the World' & 'The Kings Woman'. How is Sword Snow Stride?
I was thinking of watching this drama after its airing is done but the comments on the plot cinematography & slow burn romance are enticing me to to get started. Can't wait to join the party! On air discussions & comments can never be compared to the end reviews or binge watching experience.
We know that the Fake Queen who is a Choi & not a Seo, is collaborating with Jin Mu to destroy the 4 families. What if the King's star in Jang Uk's birth constellation was also made up? Maybe to force Jang Gang into exile. Jin Mu could be the one who instigated Jang Gang to learn about the alchemy of souls, causing him to swap souls with the King, eventually unlocking the ice stone to create a soul ejector. Jang Uk was born on April 1st, so may be the writers are pulling a prank on us. Jang Uk might be the child of Jang Gang as Deo Hwa might have been pregnant before the whole soul swapping thing took place.
The comic timing in Ep 9 is on point. Such a healing Ep to start the weekend 🤍Park Jin & Kim Do Ju 🥰 Love…
Finally the mystery behind the missing case of the elder Jin daughter is revealed . It’s quite obvious that Jin Mu will use Mu Deok’s friend to deceive the Jin family. Wished that Master Lee stays at Songrim but I hope he’ll be back soon (we might get another love triangle though , 😂)

If it was that easy to track info about Ms. Jang Moon then what were the so called cunning businessmen & politicians around Lee La El doing? Isn’t it one of the basics to run a background check on someone whom you want to confide in not just about your personal life but also about all the high profile business & political deals involving the Presidential candidate? It’s hard to believe that not just one but all of them were naïve & fell into the trap helplessly.
And if we were to believe that they were fooled, then it just serves them right. I see no reason for them to accuse her, as their own morality has no trace left. KYG & LLE are both gray characters who deeply understand & (claim to) love each other. And as SEP said love can’t co-exist with other feelings, it’s selfless. But both of them have different ambitions & don’t want to sacrifice them for the sake of love so ultimately either of them has to step down & let go for their bond to last. But can something done out of helplessness ever hold a candle to something done out of selflessness?
There’s a world of difference b/w “I can do anything for you” & “I can do anything to own you”

“It was a high quality game, if only we played individually”

Woo Young Woo rocks ✨ I love her come backs !!!
