I agree with your views but being in your 30's doesn't make a heart break less painful. There are a few things that don't change no matter how old you are.

And DM feel in love with his mature outlook of life. She herself told Grandma that he raised her standards so high that she couldn't date anyone without being disappointed.

If she didn't believe that DS was the same boy who wrote the letters, she would have probably turned him down too.
(As you said, guys in 20's are quite similar & Do San is no exception).

The writers made us fall for the SL. We are constantly updated about his feelings but are clueless about the ML.

We don't know why he loves the FL & why he hates the SL.
His character is really inconsistent. He is said to be rational & logical but seldom does he show this side. In fact, ge is just childish & immature. Why ?

• He didn't know anything about investments (though he was ambitious regarding his Start Up) & was about to be uncovered by In Jae but Ji Pyeong steps in to save his face. So technically the one who protected DM's pride was JP.

• He was about to lose the design & algorithm for their image recognition software if JP didn't save them at the right time. So it is again JP who helped SamSan Tech for their initial success at CODA & their future software for the blind.

• He doesn't realize the fact that he is incapable of being a CEO until JP points it out. And that made him choose DM.

• He was irrational in picking a fight with In Jae's dad. It could have led to dangerous consequences like ending up in jail too. But once again JP cones to their rescue by advising DM to record the conversation. Due to this, they escaped the punishment & even managed to aquire funds for their app.

So JP was the reason DM could achieve her dreams. A good programmer can be found anywhere. Even without Do San, DM could reach her goals. She was confident & lot of it had to do with the letters which re ignited the hope in her heart.

Even in the present JP does the best he can for her. From the little gestures to being ready to invest everything he has, he showers her with love & care.

What did DS do for DM ?

• He was about to make DM kneel infront of In Jae's dad (who DM hates the most).

• He left her in the park when she was totally drunk. This could have been dangerous. JP would never do that. He immediately went to pick her up when she was lost.

• The idea for the app came from DM herself but he modified it & did a great job. But it was JP who made it possible as explained above.

• He didn't dare to tell his parents about DM being the CEO. If they accidentally met her & hurt her publicly, how would DS take responsibility ?

Now how do you expect us to look up to DS or accept him as the protagonist of the story ?

They can just follow 'Cheese in the trap' drama & show total transformation of the ML in the final ep.

But I can't understand the point. Why take all the time in the world to build an amazing SL just to throw him away & build a sloppy ML who evolves into a perfect guy in the last minute ?

How do you expect us to connect with the ML when have have witnessed the beautiful journey of the SL from a moth to a butterfly ?

Why did they just show the ML's journey / emotions briefly but elaborate the SL's ?

Yes. But I think at this point I got attached to all the characters & want them all to grow up to be mature, responsible & happy.

I hope DS handles this delicate issue well.
I also wish that JP & DM resolve all their problems and acknowledge the importance of having each other.

I wonder how their lifes would turn out if they knew each other for those 15 years.
I want JP to be happy but I'm prepared for a heartbreak T_T

■ HJP depicts the dream/ ideal type of guy that girls dream about where as NDS is the representation of a realistic character found in one's life. DM is the one who is entitled to choose the one who she wants to share her life with. So let's leave it to her (She never regrets her choices).

But I wish what you said comes true. I hope that the letters remain as good memories & not as scars in their hearts.

I wish that they all laugh together, share food & support each other in achieving their goals.

That will justify the theme of Sandbox & essence of Start up as a youth motivation & personal development drama.

I think only the first letter was written by both of them as JP had no clue who DM was & what was going on in her life. Grandma didn't know about the content of the following letters which had his birthday wishes etc.

Lets say that the letters are indeed fake but the emotional support that DM received all those years was not. That's exactly why she feels betrayed. She believed in them & thought at one point she realized that it could be fake she still wanted to believe that those letters & *DS* were real.

No one is blaming the writer. We are just expressing our disappointment as we have high expectations from her. She is someone who is really liked & appreciated.

I would definitely do the same with my baker. We are investing our time & money so we have the right to ask for a good quality product. And people have different tastes so if my taste doesn't match with someone else's, its completely ok. As you rightly said, I can just leave the bakery.

Thought I had SLS in While you were sleeping too, I thoroughly enjoyed the show & its one of my favorite ones. But I didn't enjoy watching Hotel Del Luna & dropped it.

At present I still believe in the writer & hope for a happy ending for everyone.

■ I would also like to clarify that SLS doesn't mean that I want the SL to end up with the FL. It just means that personally I could connect more with the SL. No one is perfect & everyone has the right to choose & support the person they love.

I didn't mention anything about DS cheating. And I definitely sympathize with him for having to carry that guilt for so many years. Dealing with low self esteem
& walking on eggshells while dealing with your own family is so hard. Why did he make things so tough for himself ? I wish he had a sibling to to bring out his feelings.

All the three leads are quite lonely in a way.
