Story of Kunning Palace was my top1 anticipated drama, but I kinda lost hope after they kept postponing the date…. did you read the novel for Kunning Palace or Prisoner of Beauty?

Thank you for replying! I just watched ep1 though and the first person Fl met was QX. They grew up together until FL’s mom died and she was sent away. I guess they gave QX so much back story and the child actor was very good, so I was inclined to root for him in this cp. Now it’s hard to get feelings for TSJ and the others. Maybe I will change my mind in later episodes.

They finished filming in May I think. Rumors are it will air late this year (tbh I think unlikely but who knows) or Q1-Q2 next year.

I want to watch this now....some other c-dramas airing right now are good too, but this is one is the most anticipated drama for me.

Hmm that's quite unhealthy then....How about the 2nd ML? Does he love her more than the 1st ML loves her or he also hurts her in some way? Is the 2nd ML the least abusive of the 4 MLs lol?

Me? Nope. Just saw some spoilers here and there. I really can't stand sad endings, so it's good that the novel's ending was happy..for the FL and somewhat for the 1st ML since she doesn't hate him after everything.

Phew okay that's great then! She gets her hubby and keeps her brother. Even though I'm sad the ML doesn't end up with her, doesn't sound THAT angsty to me anymore haha.

When I started watching, I made the mistake of thinking 1st ML and FL will end up together despite the title.....Ahh now Idk why I'm still rooting for them even though I know she will end up with the 2nd ML if they follow the novel. Sad....

So I read spoilers that FL ends up with the 2nd ML, Tu Shan Jing. Why??? Like why doesn't she pick the ML, Qiang Xuan at the end? Can someone please spoil the details? Then is this a sad ending because both ML and FL love each other the most, yet they choose someone else they love less or not at all for some complicated reasons?

This drama is pretty good so far! I'm wondering does the ML end up with the girl Qiao Wan Mian in the novel? I see she already has new bf though since everyone thought he was dead. Also, can someone please spoil if it's a happy ending in the novel? Is the ML's senior brother really dead or is he the mastermind?
