Hahaha tbh I skip scenes and fast forward a lot when I watch most dramas 😅 Maybe I should go back and re-watch some of them more carefully if there is really nothing better to watch. I can’t recall any other historical drama (besides the ones mentioned in this comment trail) that has this ruthless dark -> doting and protective ML trope. I do have a recommendation for a modern drama though. It’s a c drama called “The Controllers.” The ML is extremely abusive and dark, basically criminal behaviour, but he slowly falls in love with the FL. However even until the very end the FL does not love him and instead pretends to do so to get her revenge. It’s the darkest modern drama I have watched so far…not for the faint hearted.

Ok maybe I have see all the historical dramas with this ruthless ML character so there is no more to watch except for upcoming dramas. Or perhaps I should try finding Japanese or thai dramas that have this premise.
