The series delivers plenty of laugh-out-loud moments while maintaining a heartfelt and mature tone.If you’re looking for a romantic office drama with depth and charm, this one’s a must-watch. For me, it’s a solid 10/10!

Raises the Standard for Legal K-Dramas
One of the most amazing legal dramas to arrive in recent years. The cast delivers remarkable performances, with the leads showcasing good chemistry that shines in every scene they share. What truly sets this series apart is its ability to present complex legal cases with clarity. Each case is technically sound yet explained in a way that feels comprehensible to any viewer. The narrative is layered with moral dilemmas, emotional depth, and moments of genuine humanity, all framed within stylish direction and sharp cinematography.
It’s rare for a procedural drama to hold both heart and intellect in equal measure, but Beyond the Bar does exactly that. A solid 10/10, an intelligent, gripping drama that deserves to be at the very top of your watchlist.

A Short but Sweet Masterpiece
An absolute gem that will take you on a rollercoaster of emotions in just 10 episodes while I personally wished for more.Park Bo Young absolutely steals the show, seriously, why is she so cute here?! XD Her performance is effortlessly charming, and she brings a perfect blend of warmth and depth to her character. The story itself is beautifully written, balancing romance, comedy, and heartfelt moments.
The cinematography and soundtrack also deserve a mention, as they complement the drama’s cozy yet emotional vibe.

A Classic Puzzle Mystery That Plays It Too Safe
From a mystery thriller perspective, the show is intellectually solid but dramatically restrained. Its puzzle-driven structure is well thought out, rewarding careful viewers with logical clues and a cohesive mystery. However, it lacks the sharp, memorable twists that define truly great entries in the genre.More notably, there is a clear gap in how the crimes are portrayed. The series often does not show how the killer actually carries out the murders, which weakens the tension and realism. In a genre where method and execution matter, this makes parts of the story feel incomplete.
There are moments where the show almost reaches a higher level, especially scenes that hint at psychological intensity, like when a character watches a killing tied to their own intentions. That kind of moment genuinely gives chills, but the series holds back instead of fully diving into it. Showing more of these could have made the story far more impactful.
As for the cast, the criticism feels unfair. The performances are grounded and natural, fitting the tone of the series well. They may not be flashy, but they do exactly what they are supposed to do, and they do it well. If anything, the cast helps keep the story believable.
In the end, Nine Puzzles is clever and well-made, but for a mystery thriller, it plays things too safe to truly stand out.

Ice Princess and Golden Retriever
This drama immediately caught my attention with its interesting plot. It might feel a bit confusing at first, but things slowly start to come together as you keep watching. The casting is solid, and I love the chemistry between the leads, plus the supporting characters are really good. Both the female and male leads suit the personalities of their characters perfectly. I mean, it’s Lee Sung‑kyung, her presence alone makes it worth watching. It’s still too early to call it top-tier since only two episodes are out, but so far I’d give it a high rating. I'll edit my rating once I fully watch. If you enjoy romance with a bit of mystery, I definitely recommend giving it a try.
And if you’re looking for a romance featuring an ice princess and a golden retriever boy, this is a great pick. For me, it’s a solid 10/10 (so far)!

Best K-Drama to Start in 2026
This was a good and interesting watch. It’s the first romance K-drama I watched in 2026, and it didn’t disappoint. Things took a strange turn halfway through, but overall, the story remained interesting. Both Kim Seon-ho and Go Youn-jung handled their roles well and had good chemistry. The supporting characters were also enjoyable to watch. The drama shows how love itself can feel hard to interpret, sometimes even harder than a foreign language. While the romance is a slow burn, it feels natural and earned.
It’s especially enjoyable because the story takes you to multiple destinations. I’d recommend this as a great first drama to start your year with. Definitely a solid one.
