You clearly don't understand my point, it's my fault for engaging with you. If you are new to the franchise, play Yakuza Kiwami which this series is loosely based on. That's it. Whatever makes you happy or keeps you occupied! 👋

Yakuza 0 is a prequel to the story this show is based on. Yakuza Kiwami is the game that this show is based on.
It actually adds more than the original which was released back in 2005, there were more scenes etc. Therefore if you are new to the series, that is the game to play.

Yakuza 0 is a prequel to the story this show is based on. Yakuza Kiwami is the game that this show is based on.
However if you only have a modern console or are new to the franchise, Yakuza Kiwami is the game to play unless you have a PS2/PS3 and want to play something with the graphics quality of a potato.
