I really struggled with this show. I found it to be slow and a bit dull. I think it would've worked better as a comedy as it was just too long and drab as a whole.

Both writer have little to none comedy experience, probably this one until Y3 adaptation will be a serious one.

Review Lovely Runner
Haha, took the words out of my mouth! The first 4 episodes were great, had a great 2521 vibe then it steadily goes downhill and, for me, it never recovered.

This 100%. I'm on episode 7 and I'm ready to drop due to how shallow and cringey it has become. The first 4 episode were so good though!

there are some sprinkled here and there every episode, but the overall tone is quite muted and can be depressing…
Thank you, I like the idea of it sprinkled here and there, I'm not a fan of slapstick as it can be constant but not sure about it being a bit depressing. I'm still going to give it a go, I've heard great things about it!
