I think it's amusing how some viewers think the story is progressing slowly while viewers who have read the manga…
As someone who hasn't read the manga yet (I really need to lol), I feel like the pacing is perfect. I think it's given a good amount of time to the comedy and romantic aspects while also showing a bit more abt each of the characters rather than only focusing on romance. No matter the pacing, I love this series so much, I don't know how I can survive until next week!! ><
I surprisingly really loved this series. Compared to a lot of infidelity and cheating dramas, this one is much more realistic, beautiful, and almost poetic. I also really enjoyed the acting and the ost plus there were many surprises that kept me hooked.
Is it necessary to watch the movie afterwards???also is it a happy or a sad ending..... please tell
The movie has a lot more cute moments between the main couple, however it is a sad ending. However, I think it was a lot more cinematographic than the series so I would rec it for that too!!
The amount of fluff and cuteness in this bl is giving me so much happiness!! >0< I also love how they sprinkle in important topics like prejudice and consent
I'm really loving this drama so far a lot because we finally get to see a woman boss who is powerful yet kind, cares about her employees, and isn't an ice-cold robot who is portrayed as being "strong". I also think the acting and cast is really great and I just love where the story is going overall.
The production of this series so far is really good! They did kinda go overboard with all the slow-mo shots in the first ep, but overall, we've been getting a lot of beautiful scenes with the lighting, composition, and of course, food. I'm also really liking the slower pacing of this series and the romantic tension between the 2 leads.
I honestly wouldn't mind Tae Kyung ending up with either Da On or Shin Woo although my gut is telling me he'll end up with Shin Woo. But I do have to admit that the Tae Kyung and Shin Woo moments make my heart die from cuteness overload lol
This is my favorite Korean bl out of all the past ones so far! Even though the concept/plot itself is not ground-breakingly original, it's been well-executed. The cast, acting, quality, production design, details, and adorableness are all excellent! Personally, the past Korean bls thus far felt like they were always missing something, such as chemistry between the actors or feeling too rushed. However, everything about this K bl has been really great. I feel connected to all the characters in one way or another and they each contribute to the plotline. Plus it'll be 16 eps, so I'm hoping this will provide the chance for a well-developed story and characters. I'm really excited to see if Light On Me becomes an iconic Korean bl!
I think this movie adaptation was just average for me. I actually enjoyed the ridiculous acting since it fitted the mood of the story. Since the acting is already over-the-top and there are some funny sound effects, I wish they would have gone all the way and added funny, extravagant filters for befitting scenes (such as fluttering, glowing hearts around a character) and had been consistent with the sounds. Instead, it ended up feeling absurd but still ordinary, and many scenes fell flat due to this. It's not an awful movie, but I think there was a lack of commitment.
My poor heart can't take anymore after this latest ep! It felt like all the built-up emotions and tension just exploded from everyone. I'm very proud of my baby Oh-Aew and the development he has had in becoming a much stronger person. And despite my ugly sobbing and broken heart throughout, this ep was no different than the others in terms of amazing cinematography and editing. I'm just rooting for everyone's happiness and success, whether they're snakes or not.
Okay I'm a tad bit late to this but here's my take: (FYI I'm going to try my best to see both sides) People refer…
I'm a bit late to this but I just realized this movie came out (oops) and saw this. I Told Sunset About You actually did have kissing scenes (the underwater ocean kiss and the kiss at the very end, I think), but the popularity of that series was due mostly to it's beautiful cinematography, symbolism, and acting. I love Bright and Win as actors and I like the series, but I have to agree with you that there's always been a feeling of something missing from all the 2gether stories. It has been and still is overhyped, so to answer why this series got super famous, maybe it was because it was airing during the very beginning of the quarantine when everyone wanted something to obsess over and take their minds off of everything. Bright and Win are also handsome actors and the "I'll kiss you till you drop" line in the first ep may have had fans dying. Plus P'Jennie is their biggest fan so she hyped them, lol.
I am on Twitter and thankfully the chaos was kinda done rn
Whew that's great because from the videos I saw earlier on the whole ordeal was quite polarizing. I can't wait for the next ep, it's gonna be juicy *\(^-^)/*
Exactly, and a realistic ending does not always mean "happy ending" and "happy endings" do not necessarily mean…
Omg, not the cancer and swollen feet for Snow White and Cinderella Lol! But yeah, I agree with you that Teh cheating before they can officially break up was unnecessary. He's definitely not a perfect character, but I wish they didn't make Teh even more unlikeable after the last episode! I really hope Teh and Oh-Aew communicate with each other and come to the conclusion that they've changed too much to stay together. Also, I don't want to be hated, but I've been low-key shipping Teh & Jai and Oh-Aew & Q together for a while now hehe...
I hope the initial panic and hysteria from some fans about what's going on with Teh and Oh-Aew's relationship has died down. This series has never stuck to the traditional bl formula since ep 1 and I love how the series is staying true to that. It's depicting a realistic progression of a relationship, whether hetero or LGBTQ+, and it's saddening to see so many people freak out when it can negatively impact the series and future works. This series is refreshing on all sorts of levels, and I hope other bls and LGBTQ+ series can learn from it.
Once again, a beautiful episode! The storyline is going in a direction that makes sense; changing and growing apart from each other is only normal for most people and couples. Most series in general, including bls, enforce the idea that the person you first fall in love with and date is the one that you stay with forever. But it's rare. People change, especially in high school/college, and even if we don't want them to, we have to painfully accept it. Hopefully, all the characters find someone who better suits their changed selves, whether it's someone they're with or someone new. The next ep will be even more emotional, so brace yourselves hehe!
I LOVED this episode so much just from the beautiful variety of lighting, framing, and composition they used (I'm probably gonna keep saying this)! I do have to agree that they really jam-packed this ep with time skips, but they did make sense and furthered the story. It was definitely an emotional ep, and as a current university student who has experienced the stress from classes and contemplating and switching majors, I really empathize with everyone in this series. The last scene was interesting, if you know what I mean, and I'm expecting a lot of revelations in the next ep!
I love Bright and Win as actors and I like the series, but I have to agree with you that there's always been a feeling of something missing from all the 2gether stories.
