I'm happy I wasn't right about the last episode. It was a solid last episode hence the rating was able to go up. I was worried if it were as mid as the last two, the rating would go down. Let's hope we can maintain this 9.0 rating!

Clarification: This is not me wanting an adaptation of Replay. This is more about my concern that they may not play different characters in a new plot with just as many episodes as a standard series this year.

I'm just as happy with regards to the fact that this is getting a special episode(s) as everyone else but I can't help feeling if GMMTV thinking that that would be sufficient to satisfy the fans for PondPhuwin for 2026 instead of Replay which would be a shame.

Sorry to put it here where everyone is happy but what is it with GMMTV's obsession with long fur coats. They're absolutely HIDEOUS! I thought the Starlympics opening ceremony costume was horrendous enough only to see today Pond in what looked like tartan pyjamas under a black version of the same and what was Phuwin's suit? It looked like lion's mane had been glued on to a camel suit by a 3 year old. Maybe I don't get high fashion but isn't Thailand supposed to be humid? They're probably melting in them anyway!

That would be awesome! I've always wanted female versions or female characters that have grey shades and are just as memorable as Khun Thee, Lucifer, Damon Salvatore etc. But, I don't think the entertainment industry would take that kind of creative decision for women, especially not GMMTV!

Personally, the term 'daddy' gives me the ick anyway but I really hope they didn't intend for double meaning in front of the kids. That's just disgusting.

The series in total may not average 10/10 but Episode 10 by itself definitely does!

Thank God the final episode wasn't butchered. I was so worried after the last two episodes. The outro was genius. No doubt, the genius behind it was X Nuttapong Mongkolsawas.

You're right. Nobody could've played Thee better than Pond. So, the rating wouldn't have been as high. The rating is also high because ratings are also relative. A Korean drama would have to be better than best to achieve this high a rating because expectations are higher. Since the expectations for BLs are lower because of what we have been served, an anomaly of being even slightly better attains an inflated rating.

I don't understand how anyone who's a part of this could go on without batting an eyelid. Aren't there transexuals that work at GMMTV too???

Late to comment but had to. My reaction to the pilot trailer as soon as a saw it: This is transphobic.

Also, as a non-Thai viewer, I have the FOMO with this even then. There are so many references that I will not have picked up but Thai people will and find funny. I am so envious that they will probably enjoy this more than others.

I understand you where you're coming from and also understand why others including myself find the 'comedy' funny and you may not. I'm mixed race and have spent a significant part of my life in an Asian country and a '1st world' country. I feel like the best humour or the ones that leave the most impact are the ones that require you to have context. The kind of humour that appeals in one region of a country may not be the kind of humour that appeals to someone in another region of the same country let alone internationally. For example, Britons are usually associated with the dry, sarcastic, self depreciating and dark kind of humour that they think a lot of Americans don't understand or find funny. Hence, even though the initial episodes were pretty similar, the American version of The Office was written differently to the British one though both were successful. If two countries, that at least, on a superficial level are very similar in culture and share the same official language cannot get each others humour, what do you expect of a production from a country that is probably very different to one's own? When watching something like Me and Thee, I have the privilege of watching from both of my ethnicities' point of view. When I watched Fish Upon The Sky, I did not find it funny at all and pretty much crass with all the 'poop' humour that it irritated me. However, I'm assuming in Thailand, this is considered funny. One of my friends is Bengali and she said discussing discussing ablutions during meals is a common trait among some Bengali families so she found it relatable and funny. Me and Thee appeals to the majority because it is satirical. I imagine in a lot of countries TV serials, daily soaps or whatever they are called are very melodramatic. Indian TV serials have illiterate daughters in law wash things in the swimming pool water and hanging laptops on a line to dry afterwards. You also have the matriarch of the family slapping the daughter in law so hard that it is shown 10 times on repeat with dramatic music and then the impulse being so hard too such that the daughter in law finds herself right next to a curtain and the curtain strangles her. Spanish telenovelas and Filipino teleserye are also very unrealistic. Most of the plots use the Cinderella premise as well. Rich young man hates poor innocent woman the grows to love her blah blah blah. You wouldn't see something like that in the UK or the USA, it would be review bombed and cancelled ASAP(not that I'm criticising that). This is why Me and Thee appeals to a large proportion of the world's population. It strikes a chord with what they find nostalgic and also allows them to laugh at themselves for enjoying TV shows that the would probably find illogical today. Another reason people probably find this funny is because specifically Pond is playing Thee's character. The audience already thinks that Pond is very similar to Thee, so him playing the character, I guess makes them feel like they know him more intimately???

I feel like GMMTV have done the most injustice to PerthSanta themselves on this one. If their subplot made sense and they didn't get back together, I feel like it would've been more impactful anyway.
