Good Enough

Korean Drama "Navillera" is a bittersweet story about an unusual friendship.

The drama starts slowly, with a simple plot prompt: an elder wants to learn how to dance ballet, the ballerino who is forced to teach him doesn't really want to. From then the drama builds up the melodrama element, adding family drama here and there, a few twists, and then finally it let things come together and creates a puzzle of a heartbreaking story and a strong, warm friendship.

What, however, makes the drama even more special are the performances and the dancing scenes that were perfectly executed. The atmosphere was nicely created with the settings and a suitable soundtrack that was simple, melodic and in the background, creating a more intense drama. The pace was perfect as well and, fortunately, the drama didn't overdo it with the length and it ended when it was needed.


So, overall, nine out of ten.

Good Enough

" Almost famous " or " Half Celebrity " was an original drama. It shows the struggles of young actress So Ri, who is trying to be famous for seven years (I think it was seven...) and she still is living an ordinary life, even though she is starting to get recognized.

The story was ambitious and it was filmed in the format of a documentary (I guess a mockumentary), however, it felt chopped, like they edited scenes together, or, rather, they spread the story too thinly. Because it was character-centered, it would have been better if they didn't add that romance story in it and they had rather focused more on her relationship with her ex band members, her career and her journey overall. Unfortunately, many things were skipped forward regarding her career and they opted for a half baked romance and an open ending, which, actually, for me at least, it fitted the personality of the main character.

For the performances, as the drama focused on So Ri, you get most of the scenes with her. The actress did a great job with every scene and she was a delight to watch. The rest of the cast was very professional and enjoyable.

So, overall, five out of ten for this webdrama.

Momikeshite Fuyu has one and only start : Yamada Ryosuke's character. He was funny, adorable and just perfect for this drama.

Other than that, the story was interesting, with some entertaining scenes and nice family dynamics. The small cases that the family took over in each episode were funny and kind of cute. The ending was good as well and just the perfect conclusion for this drama. However, there were moments that the drama got a bit boring. But it always managed to be entertaining in the ending.

So, good performances, kind of odd story and sometimes over the top reactions, but overall, seven out of ten.

Normally I don't watch dramas with so many episodes (I leave that for the anime series ha ha) but this one wasn't tiring to watch, fortunately. The leading lady was really good, clever, funny, and overall a delight to watch. The drama was centered around her and her life in the palace, reminding me of scarlet heart. However, the addition of so many characters got me confused more than once. It was difficult to keep track of all of them and who was who. Also, the romance with the prince was nice, but the other love story wasn't that good. Finally, the drama got a bit boring halfway through. But, overall, it was entertaining, so 7 out of 10.

Long title for a long movie. Actually, everything happened really quick, but the story was cliche packed, edging towards the R rated genre, with weak character, a cute guy, an odd girl and some dinosaurs. Actually, only the dinosaur part was interesting. And the performances that were okay. But the rest was just bad. Some scenes were really badly made, especially the ones with the manga influance. Or when everyone conveniently had to leave the room and leave the couple alone.... Anyway, if you like movies with romance and kind of cute and you don't really care about the rest, you might like it. If you are looking for something deeper, or memorable, then this one isn't for you.

Save me is a drama about a cult and it is not afraid to present all the horrors that the leads of the cult often did. The description says that a girl asks four men to save her, but that happens later in the drama. First, we are presented with the background story as to why everything happened and why people are now acting like they do. The stories of the characters seem different from one another, but they come together in the end, painting the picture of the story as a whole. The performances, in addition, were really good and helped the drama to create that horror-thriller atmosphere. One thing that I didn't like though was that the ending was kind of open, leaving things half finished. Other than that, I really enjoyed this drama.

Why to watch this drama? For L of infinite and for the love story. However, even the good performances couldn't help overcome the cheesy plot. The writers overdid themselved with the amount of cliche one can add to a plot. Though the main story is okay and kind of interesting, though nothing original, the additional elements, like playing the guitar till you bleed, constantly trying to remember what you have forgotten, playing the guitar even in a tunel, in the night, cause you just had to...If it wasn't for those things, this drama would have been actually good. Aslo, the ending was kind of odd and confusing. So, 2 out of 10.

One of the best things about Lookout is the thrill that gives, with the whole finding the culprit and making the bad guys pay theme blending well with the strong female protagonist and the high tech team. The cases are okay, though the main case with that criminal mastermind high school boy. Actually, that boy's performance was really good, playing the manipulating murderer who's still a minor. But, the other actors' performances were great as well, bringing a freshness to the whole drama. However, even though I did tried to really like this drama, something about it made me tired of watching it. Though the actions scenes were a handful, the actual plot was a bit of a series of bad people not getting the punishment they deserved and as a result people suffered. So, maybe the concept wasn't that well executed. Nevertheless, a good action drama, so 5 out of 10.

Another drama with the time leap thing. Unfortunately, that doesn't work on this one. When the time leap comes up, the drama just can't handle it very well and that resulted to a seriously confusing ending. Other than that, the story was okay, with the leading actor actually supporting the whole drama, even though his chemistry with the girl was so so. The other actors did do well as well, but he was slightly better than them. In addition, the drama had it's funny moments and some stories were interesting to follow for a while, but, at least for me, at some point, the main story got boring, with no actual purpose. So, overall, 6 out of 10.
