Korean Short Drama '' The Tyrant '' is a mini-series that serves as a side story to the movie ' The Witch ' and it unfolds into its universe. The drama is indeed short, but it manages to handle its story nicely and it progresses smoothly.
Even though there were plenty of bloody scenes, the drama somehow didn't feel that disturbing, but everything fitted well with the atmosphere, the story, and the fighting scenes.
Still, another episode would have allowed the story to breathe and not feel that tight and compact. Or maybe they shouldn't have included that many characters.
Finally, the performances were all great by every actor and actress in the cast.
So, overall, seven out of ten.

Japanese Drama '' Sayonara no Tsuzuki '' is a romantic melodrama with a tragic story and tragic characters. The drama incorporates the idea that the body has memory, but it is not that well presented, as the story is more focused on the romance and builds its story up from there.
As for the romance, it was odd, as the one person was wracked with grief and was trying to hold on to any spec of hope, and the other had an identity crisis at best. Most tragic of them all was the wife who was trying to figure things out.
The performances, on the other hand, were all great by everyone in the cast.
So, overall, five out of ten.

'' Lupin no Musume Season 2 '' is the more melodramatic second season of the Japanese Drama ' Daughter of Lupin '.The drama this time around is more messy when it comes to the pace, as the time jumps are plenty.
Still, the well-known and beloved characters are back and they bring back the same flare and charm.
There were some enjoyable parts of the drama as well as some funny parts, in addition.
The performances were, just like in the first part, pretty great.
So, overall, seven out of ten.

Korean Drama '' Do You Like Brahms '' is a slice of life romance. The drama has an interesting theme, and its slow pace allows the characters to deeply connect and to let their relationships develop organically. It was also a positive note that the drama didn't focus solely on the romance but, rather, on the characters and their life's journey, their hopes and dreams, and how they deal with their fears and misfortunes.
On the other hand, the second half and, especially the final episodes, were quite boring, as there were few things to get resolved.
Finally, the performances were all great by every actor and actress in the cast and the music was enjoyable.
So, overall, five out of ten.

The romance was also cute and the couple had plenty of sweet and romantic moments.
However, the final episodes were boring and had few surprises to offer.

Korean Drama '' Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale '' is a romantic comedy with an emphasis on the comedy. The drama feels and looks like one of those older Korean rom coms, with the over the top scenes and the over the top acting. And yet, it worked, as it was nostalgic and fun to boot.
The story was entertaining as well. Yes, it was predictable and the love triangle was boring, but the love story was well paced and there were a lot of funny and sweet moments between the couple.
In addition, the settings and the costumes were all pretty.
Finally, the performances were all enjoyable.
So, overall, seven out of ten.

Korean Drama '' Treat Me Carelessly '' is a romantic comedy with some action scenes thrown into the mixture. The drama has its moments, with the main idea of a man living as a scholar in a forbidden-to-enter village and protecting the historical heritage was interesting and entertaining at times. But the drama didn't really utilize the cultural shock he was experiencing to enhance the comedy, but focused on the romance, which was boring and oddly paced.
Also, the mystery case got boring as well and the ending was anticlimactic. The second half was so weak and messy that nothing could redeem the drama.
The performances, on the other hand, were enjoyable, some of them were weak though.
So, overall, three out of ten.

Japanese Drama '' 366 Nichi '' is a romantic melodrama about second chances in life. The drama starts out pretty strong, with the tragedy striking fast in the first episodes and enhancing the dynamics between the group of friends. However, somewhere midway the drama had to deal with too many plotlines, leaving them half-baked and making this one a tiring watch. The addition of a love triangle didn't really help to that either.
Still, the ending was quite emotional and the family part was sweet and melodramatic as well.
Finally, the performances by every actor and actress in the cast, but, especially, the two main leads, were all enjoyable.
So, overall, five out of ten. The drama kind of lost its way halfway through.

Korean Drama '' Chicken Nugget '' is a crazy fantasy-sci fi - comedy about a crazy-out-of-the-box adventure. The drama is short and it manages to handle smoothly the story, which could have been all over the place and become ridiculous quite easily. Hence, the story ends up being odd, yes, but enjoyable enough.
The pace was, in addition, pretty fast, but suited the story. The CGI was pretty good as well. Also, the action scenes were entertaining and well-executed. Moreover, the story had some sensitive-sweet parts which were mostly referred to the family drama.
Finally, the performances were all great by every actor and actress in the cast and the cameos were enjoyable.

Japanese Drama '' Tsukuyomi-kun no kindan Oyashoku '' is a food drama with a romantic twist. The drama, though it has a weird setting, it has a light mood and an enjoyable story. The food was nice enough, the relationship between the two leads cute, the love triangle okay, though the brother was a bit creepy at times, and the office drama enjoyable.
The drama's main 'failure', however, was its length. It didn't allow the story to develop organically, and it was rushed at times and, especially in the end. If they had omitted some parts of it, it would have allowed the main story to breathe. Alas, that was not the case.
The performances, finally, were all enjoyable, especially by the main female lead.
So, overall, five out of ten.

Japanese Movie '' Familia '' is a family drama that blends in the stories of different people from different backgrounds, as they, eventually, become a family. The movie starts out quite weakly. The first half actually was boring, as the story was trying to find its footing and get a grip on what it was going to be about. Things started picking up in the second half though, however, that also meant that there was little time left for anything proper to develop. So, the movie suffered, in the end, by the false passing and the confusion of what it is going to narrate ultimately.
The acting, on the other hand, was enjoyable throughout it, especially by the father, who was really strong when it came to the emotional scenes.
So, overall, three out of ten stars for the movie '' Familia ''.

Korean Drama " Not Others " is the story of a mother and a daughter and their relationship as they go through changes and hardships. And between romantic misunderstandings and funny cohabitating endeavors, there lies a criminal case yet to be solved. The drama overall is a fun ride. The relationship between the two main leads is enjoyable, funny, and often bittersweet, but the highlight of the drama nevertheless. Their chemistry is also spot on.
The romance, in addition, is entertaining, but, thankfully, gets overshadowed by the main relationship of the drama, the mother-daughter bond.
The crime mystery, on the other hand, was interesting at first, but lost its momentum quickly. But, it served its propose on getting the two main characters together and enhancing their bond.
The performances, finally, were smooth.
So, overall, seven out of ten.

Japanese Drama " Tetsu Ota Michiko 2 Man Kiro " is a travel drama. It follows the main lead as she rides trains and visits places all over Japan, taking photos and trying bentos. She also meets people around her trips and enjoys the local spectacles.
When it came to the story, the drama has few things to offer. Thus, the main character remains an unknown traveler-tour guide, with some specs of her past leaking into the main story.

Korean Drama " Call It Love " is a melodrama with interesting cinematography and a story focusing on family bonds and an unconventional love story. The drama, first of all, has inspirational cinematography, with a pink filter for the real-time timeline, while using harsh lighting for the flashbacks with stretched frames. The mood of the drama is also enjoyable, atmospheric, and chill.
On the other hand, the story was quite intense, even though the drama presented it in a more relaxing tone. Therefore, and even though it was reaching its end, it felt like there should be more episodes, as the story didn't seem to have kicked in or reached its climax, when the emotions burst and the melodrama reaches its peak. Rather, it felt anticlimactic and rushed.
As for the performances, everyone did a good job with their characters.
So, overall, seven out of ten.
