Title My Ride
This has quickly become one of my favorite series airing right now. We're finally getting somewhere in ep 6 with the two main couples. If I"m honest my favorite character right now is Boss (he's the right kind of prickly precious lol) but all of the main characters have been interesting and pretty developed. Now that the plotlines are moving in a more substantive direction I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes.

The fact that anyone could find Toh's behavior at all cute is absolutely beyond me. Nothing about this is funny to me. Every time I think about Nuea walking into an apartment secretly plastered with his face, with rotting things he's touched, and carefully cataloged trash (and lord knows what else) he's interacted with, it grosses me out. Toh's slavering, worshipful, Stepford wife responses to every interaction with Nuea are 'Misery' level realness. I just don't see what's funny and fluffy and rom-com worthy about Toh being a stalker that is nightmare-inducing. There's nothing "novice" about his tendencies, worse the way his character is portrayed is someone who needs serious help. How anyone can possibly sit through any scene with Toh and fully enjoy and appreciate his behavior I can't understand. I should have known better, but farcical "comedy" on subjects that ruin people's lives just isn't for me. It feels dated, there's no nuance, it's poorly written, poorly acted, and poorly produced. This feels like a BL we would have gotten ten years ago and it's sad. Knowing the prime audience this is targeted at this feels incredibly irresponsible.

Ugh, I'm so frustrated. They did Gameplay and Folk's talents so dirty with this horrible script and production. I'm sad I have to rate this as mediocre (at best) when with the talent they had it could have been so much better. I'm actually sad if Gameplay's management made him give up what could potentially have been a blockbuster role for...this. It makes me wonder because they seem to have been filming around the same time.

Pretty much my thoughts as well, but didn't Shiro already reveal his sexuality to Ichiro back in episode 2? When…
Now that I think about it, you're absolutely right that there's uncertainty about how much Shiro might have revealed. I was left with the impression that he hadn't revealed he was gay but now I can't remember why lol I guess that's a good excuse to go re-watch. You could totally be right and Ichiro already knows.

So was there a mistranslation of Phap not getting the siblings thing? Because honestly that's the only way any…
Apparently yes, Phap had no idea they were step-siblings (and somehow neither did Tharn, who was equally jealous and also one of Maze's best friends, so riddle me that). Also, apparently, Maze didn't get why Phap kept getting ridiculously upset every time Neung was even near him...it's a massive plot issue because they made this complicated jealousy arc when all it would have taken was a single conversation to resolve...

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking, because he knew right away as soon as he saw his blue glowing eyes. They only get those eyes when they are about to feed or are hungry. I'm thinking somehow in the rescue or maybe in him researching why his brother was taken, he discovered the truth. It could also be that their parents were killed for the same reason/trying to protect them, and they passed that information along to the eldest brother so he could protect Min Hyun.

Why would Todd want White to pretend to be Black if he is the one who put Black in the hospital? what does he…
It's actually a perfect plan. He can keep tabs on Black in the hospital and at the same time get information on everything Black's gang is up to. White tells him everything.

I guess Vampires are a normal thing in their world xD. Plus there's something really wrong with the brother. Yes…
I got the feeling it was due to Min Hyun's near kidnapping. I also got the impression that Min Hyun may have almost been kidnapped due to his being a pure blood and that's how the brother knows about vampires and tries to keep Min Hyun as sheltered as possible.

This started off so strong and promising to me but unfortunately, it dragged. I think they went a bit too ham with the character flaws because it was hard to like and root for the leads (I'm sorry Singto, I love you!). You just couldn't understand why anyone would be interested due to their behavior. I already have a hard time with the "asshole gets the love of his life after being an asshole to them the whole series" - like in Boys Over Flowers - but at the very least if that's the case there should be some significant character development and I felt like Maze's was just too subtle...to almost be nonexistent lol. While I really did enjoy both Tae and Singto in their roles, and they matched more than I ever expected them to when the series was first announced, they were really let down by the writing. The fact that in the last episode they were re-hashing the EXACT same fight Maze and Phap had had literally 6 other times, it was like wow...we really have gone nowhere this whole series! Literally, all it would have taken was one conversation to resolve. The series could have benefited from being much shorter.

I love this, one of my favorites that are airing right now, I watch as soon as each episode is released! The last episode has been the best so far, I'm really into the whole plot. While I would still enjoy the show even if we don't ever get Shiro and Ichiro together, they've been hinting every now and then that there is an attraction that's growing into something more between them for sure (I first felt it when Ichi saw Shiro's tattoo). I'm still uncertain whether they'll delve fully into that but I felt like in episode 5 we've had the strongest indication that there are underlying feelings in their relationship. Especially when it comes to Shiro. I'm curious what will happen when Ichiro learns about Shiro's sexuality, and I'm wondering if a catalyst to them getting together might be the reveal of Shiro's "relationship" with the prime minister.

I've spent the last three episodes wondering what the hell the plot is about, but I also wondered if I just didn't get it because I kept zoning out. Totally fair that it could be on me, but judging from the comments I'm going to make an educated guess and say it's not. There is zero structure to the storyline. I get wanting to keep viewers guessing but there needs to be some significant character introduction to feasibly be able to have progression and development. It's like watching paint dry for the most part. I'm all for a slow burn but...there's ZERO burn. I may just have to give this one up, I don't know if I can put up with this for omg...I just looked, 12 episodes?! Are they serious? I was already thinking they could have condensed the last three into 1! I'm also not entirely comfortable with the blurred patient/doctor dynamics that are progressively concerning.

I know there's no point in asking this, but does ANYONE know what the plot of this show is? Something to do with…
Ok, so it's not just me. I feel like I'm consistently asking myself "wtf is this even about?" lol the plot is so nebulous, and not in a good way.

Title Love Stage!!
Who said Turbo wouldn't make a good Izumi again? Haha. I'm actually super happy with the first episode, in my humble opinion I feel like this is the best characterization we've had of a live-action Love Stage so far. All the characters are pretty spot on. The characters are quirky and funny how they're supposed to be, not the over-the-top ridiculousness of the Japanese version. And it seems like they might be giving the story a bit more nuance, so I'm really curious to see where they take this version. Anyway, it's kind of giving me nostalgia thinking back to when I first read the manga. Overall a great start I think, I hope it keeps up!

I'm glad that so far this was met my expectations for this series as I had high hopes. I can appreciate some story and character building, as usually I think storylines are too rushed. The first episode was set at a perfect pace for me. I have a feeling I'm going to be more drawn to the secondary couples, but I'm interested all around. They've managed to draw me in enough to see how things are going to play out. Based on the teaser they're going to go into some more mature topics so it will be interesting how that is handled. I actually enjoyed the acting, but I also think it's kind of early to tell either way how the actors will carry their characters throughout the series. I think they did pretty great for the first episode, and from my understanding, they're younger more inexperienced actors so that to me is a pretty good sign.

I'm not quite getting some of the references being thrown out for what this reminds people of. Sure it has the same coloring as ITSAY but I wouldn't say the cinematography, direction, or storyline are anything close to similar. If anything I'd say the closest production this reminds me of is Water Boyy, the movie from 2015. It's been a while since I've watched it and I remember the series being a bitter disappointment after the movie. I'd say (from my poor recall lol) that that would be a good "similar" comparison in my mind, although the storyline still doesn't match up. Which is good because it means they're bringing different characters to the scene which I can appreciate. Overall I'm curious and happy to continue watching.

The first episode was rough. But it gets better after that. Yes, it may feel rushed, but the writers are actually…
I agree. I feel like they had made it pretty obvious from the get-go that Ki Jin and Yeong Woo were not only attracted to each other but flirting pretty heavily. I think the episodes have been progressing naturally when you consider they're just two guys who've been into each other since they met and have been feeling each other out and getting to know each other. I mean they've slept together twice at this point haha what else needs to happen? I think it's pretty telling that people think they need a plot construct to understand two men falling for each other, rather than it just being the natural course of things when the chemistry and attraction is there.

SaenSab is THE very best cousin ever in the history of cousins. That was some big balls he had there. I loved…
Completely agree on the Wayu assessment. People hollering "he needs to stay single!!12p02w2oije1@!!1" and then criticizing the fact that that's exactly what he's doing. He's already been burned once, of course he's going to be slow to trust and I think it's more realistic that he'd be slow to trust. I completely applaud him not only feeling things out with where his feelings stand in all this, but also pushing against just accepting what another love interest is telling him as the truth. That happened the first time with Pha and he was lied to throughout their entire relationship, and continues to be lied to and treated like he can't handle the truth when all he's asked for is for people to be straight up with him.

Wayu's been maligned since day one for being one of the only realistic portrayals of a character on the show IMO lmao hell he even got slandered for going to Thanu openly with his feelings and "stealing Phai's man" when 1. he didn't even know Phai and Thanu had any kind of connection and 2. they didn't. Now he wants to be cautious that he's not hurting someone else and himself by trusting in another guy and he gets maligned for that too. I don't know, I just think people have a hatred for men they consider more effeminate or sensitive. I've seen the same users who say really sus things about Wayu's character also say really nasty things about femme or flamboyantly gay men on here that appear in other series. Internalized homophobia at its finest.

Sab is and will forever remain my favorite character lol Idk I just love him so much, he's such a BAB. I'm still holding onto the slim hope that he'll get a story in season 3 at the very least. I just need more of him. I still have hope because he's also a part of Superboy and they seem to each be getting pushed in various ways, so I guess we'll see.

This whole series is just a pile of fluffernutter, don't expect too much substance and you'll have a fun time with the wildly unbelievable plot construction and cute pairings, even the besties. I love the friendships a lot, especially Mark/Sab and Mark/Wayu, the conversation Mark had talking Wayu down in his car was so necessary. Mark forever the voice of reason until he isn't, and then Kit comes along. MarkKit still makes everything better. The high tension between Wayu and Thanu is killing me, Wayu PLEASE put the man out of his misery and let us all breathe a sigh of relief! Most people can't stand him - yes, we get it - but I have such a huge soft spot for Wayu. I don't know, I just relate. When...WHEN are they getting together?! I swear if they leave it to the last episode...Phai is such a sweet little bug, did you see him run to Pok's rescue at the swim meet? lmao I can't decide if I'm into him and Sandee being a thing or if I need him to be with someone that isn't apparently enemy #1. The whole Scooby gang is after him now. Sandee's character is a wild ride, the villainy is so over the top but the man is damn fine, ok? What are we supposed to do?

Honestly, the only storyline I'm completely over is Pha's, can he go away now? I just can't with the death bed scenes and them having Kit spending his days researching.a.damn.cure as a medical student lmao watch him find one by the end of the series. If there was one thing this series did not need it was that addition as if the storyline wasn't convoluted enough. I'm telling you, I feel like this is daytime soap material, it has all the right cliches. From over-the-top villains to returned exes with terminal illnesses that...might not be so terminal...if they kill Pha off and bring him back in season 3 I'm calling plagiarism on Days of our Lives.

TLDR: still minimal substance but high entertainment value for me.

I'm in love with this series right now. I'm a sucker for Ki Jin's character archetype, and he and Yeong Woo are already so sweet together. I also love the storyline, it's a different spin on a pretty classic trope. I also love that they've made no qualms about the two of them being really into each other from the start, the chemistry is super obvious. I'm so anticipating seeing their relationship develop further than this initial spark and tension that's drawing them closer. The teaser for next week looks really fluff already...the date-type scenes!

This is really OT and I may be slightly crazy but something about Ki Jin reminds me so much of Min Yoongi. Every time I see him on screen he flashes through my head haha.
