The only reason I'm going to be watching this is Niko Badayos, I have zero shame in admitting it either lol.

I just have to sigh. Overall this was a severe disappointment, but at least I don't think it ended as horribly as it started. Not going to lie, seeing Ae's flashback at the end made me nostalgic for what could have been, but it is what it is. I won't re-hash my feelings on the obvious in TinCan or KlaNo, and TumTar were so nonexistent they may as well have not been a part of the series. One thing that kind of upset me is the Dad. He's the worst sort of parent. He's not addressing anything and instead completely glossing over the fact that Tul has severe mental issues. Instead, he's having Tin go search out Hin as a bandaid solution? That's like putting a muzzle on a rabid dog and declaring him cured. It seriously creeps me out the way Hin is just this sacrificial lamb for Tul, he was given to Tul as a child and raised to feel like Tul owned him, to the point he allows anything and everything Tul does including Tul hurting him, like is no one else seriously disturbed by that?! The dad knows Tul was abused as a child and that a lot of his issues are stemming from that but yeah, let's just bring the boyfriend back, that will make him a functioning human being again. It's just, gross. Plus as Hin said, Tul's background doesn't excuse anything he's done but yet the people in his life are doing exactly that rather than trying to actually help him work through his issues. But none of this is surprising considering Mame does a pisspoor job at actually developing and carrying through healthy storylines for her characters, that's not even to mention the constant plot holes people have to navigate. I'm sure there are people who enjoyed this, and there were moments that I found enjoyable as well, it just didn't end up being for me. It felt like a serious waste of potential.

They shouldn't pick up any more of her work, but I'm sure they will. If they do a series based on TulHin I'm rioting. When the novel was translated people freaked on international social media but she just defended it as she does, so I wouldn't be surprised if we see it come up.

GRAPHIC WARNING: Well it depends on what you mean by consensual when someone is being coerced into something because they think they're owned by another person. Tul gets off on actually seriously hurting Hin, to the point he bleeds and is crying during intercourse. This might be TMI but there's even a point in the first few moments of the novel that Tul mentions liking how Hin's blood is like a form of lube since he doesn't prepare him before hand. That was when I noped out. It's sick. Like really, just so wrong. Nothing about that novel can be described as BDSM, the consent is suspect at best and they never discuss the boundaries of their relationship, it's just Tul forcing himself on and hurting Hin and Hin just allowing it because he feels he has to and that by doing so he's "helping" Tul. I get some people are into that, but it's hugely disturbing for me, to say nothing of how triggering it could potentially be to someone going into it unaware. I'm sure, as happens with Mame's writing in particular, that a relationship people want to support is built from the toxicity around that, spun in a very palatable way where Tul is someone who just needs love and understanding especially because he was an abused child but, yeah. It gives me the creeps. Particularly because that's a common thing with people who are abused, that they go on to abuse others, but nothing about that should be used as fodder for a romantic fluff piece. Especially when the character in question needs therapy, not a relationship that miraculously supposedly changes him.

I mean, they did hah actually they changed the names more than fanfics writers tend to tbh. Most don't bother. Just an FYI in the novel the names of the characters the author kept from 2Moons are Mark, Kij, Wayu (not Wayo) and Pa (not Pha, different spelling in the OG language), and the rest of the characters are original. I've only read the first novel, but Pa isn't actually a character, you only ever hear about him from other characters talking about him, Yu has other love interests. In the series they changed Kit and Pha back it looks like.

I don't think this was about "getting" 2Moons fans. They already had them. OG 2Moons fans have been asking for a reprisal of the original MingKit for ages (which is why they chose a story focused around them as the main couple). Because there was the fallout that left bad blood between the original writer and the management team for these guys, they decided to basically give as close a version as they could, which I thought was hilariously shady. The writing and production team around 2Moons2 were incredibly unprofessional and unnecessarily shitty to the original cast because they wanted to promote the new cast and distance themselves from the old project. So I don't feel bad for them at all when it comes to this. They're simply giving what fans are asking of them. The amount of money they invested in this project is ridiculous, they knew very well what the demand was. I mean the reactions from the first time this was announced were people losing their minds about KimCop essentially playing the roles they were originally meant to.

Just for additional background for anyone who is interested, there are parts to this like most novels in the genre. And from what I've read there are three series planned with Mark/Kit being the main couple of the first one. Wayu and his love interest, there are three guys after him and from what I've heard it's not Pa but someone else, are supposed to be the mains for season 2 and the last season is around an entirely new couple. Now, who knows if this will actually end up happening or not but that's the plan.

What a disaster! I feel for Aew and I feel for Teh! I understand completely where both are coming from. And at this point, middle ground is impossible to come by without some of the hard things to work through, like self-acceptance and understanding. I feel like we're in for a rough one with the last episode. This is so well done. I don't think I've been this emotionally rung out by a series in a long time.

Yeah you could say that hah or a fanfic, it's pretty common for people to write their own stories based off characters they like in popular novels but with endings they prefer better haha

For those who are getting confused, this isn't a part 2 or even really has anything to do with 2Moons other than some of the characters. This series is based on a story that was written in an alternate universe to 2Moons, so while the characters are technically the same the story is different. There will be new characters introduced, etc. Just a heads up for people thinking this is a continuation, or that the story will be canon.

So far it's cute and fluffy, which I'm all for. I probably just missed KimCop haha so I'm fully aware I'm biased. I'm glad we're diving right in to Mark driving Kit nuts, but also pushing all the right buttons haha I also thought it was pretty funny. Nobody does bitchy quite like Cop, his expressions are priceless! Bas is adorable as always (I missed him as well!) I haven't finished reading the novel so I'm not entirely sure if Yu ends up with Thanu but I'm really hoping so!

Pure and Folk are giving me life. I'm glad they're end game (or at least I hope they are). I have a severe attachment to Pure lol probably because I relate to him so damn much. I wish their development hadn't been so rushed, I would have loved to have seen it play out for longer than the last few episodes of the series, but I'll take what I can get. I hope Fiat gets a leading role some day, he's f'ing adorable and I think he has some serious potential to carry off a bigger part.

Well, if I'm not mistaken, the script was written by Mame who completely ignores any type of criticism and vehemently defends even the most problematic issues in her writing so...

I can't even say this was so bad it's good, but I also watched to the very end so I guess kudos hah. I was first pulled in (against my will lol) by North and Ongsah, but I did end up pleasantly surprised by some of the other characters, and that's probably as generous as I can be. Probably one of the biggest, most glaring issues is the subs. It can't have made that little sense to people who actually understand the language. I agree with everyone saying the last episode was the best, but that's...not saying much to be fair haha.

I think Pure right now sees Folk as both a conundrum and a challenge, which I would imagine would be irresistible to someone like him. As someone who doesn't believe in love or relationships, I think Folk's dogheaded pursuit of Pai is both amusing and oddly attractive to him. He knows Folk doesn't stand a chance with Pai (Pai hasn't given him one inch, he's been very clear that he's not interested) and after this episode also seems to clearly know there's something unspoken between Pai and Itt (those are the two who make zero sense to me tbh), so his first loyalty is going to be to his best friend. One thing to remember is that Folk isn't a kid, nor is he innocent. Heck, he even offered to work in reciprocal exchange with Pure if he would help him win Pai. I'm not entirely sure what he thought would happen when he asked Pai to be his boyfriend after Pai had already told him not to approach him (knock on his door) unless he was ready to only be his friend. Pai has been absolutely frigid with Folk lol. I'm honestly a little thrown off by Folk stubbornly being so persistent after someone has repeatedly told him no.

I'll also point out that Folk had two very clear opportunities to get out of the situation he currently finds himself in with Pure. The first when Pure invited him to drink back at is his room (this isn't the first time he's invited him to his room and the first time Folk said no), and the second when Pure asked him if he was sure this was what he wanted. What I find intriguing is that it seems to me, Folk is equally as enticed by Pure. He's watched his flings with curiosity and interest since high school - something Pure is aware of - and isn't innocent to who Pure is and what he does. He was literally listening outside of Pure's door lol and was completely flustered as soon as Pure started openly flirting with him. So I think, as much as he likes Pai, he's just as beguiled by Pure as everyone else seems to be haha. Suffice to say I think they're both equally fascinated and curious about the other seeing as they're so opposite to each other. It didn't take much effort at all from Pure for Folk to end up kissing him, did it? As far as Pure/Waan/Beau I'm positive if Pure had any inkling Waan liked her he wouldn't have shown any interest. He's been pretty clear that he doesn't pursue people his friends are interested in, and he cherishes his friendship with Waan. Those are just my observations anyway, for what it's worth :)
