it's definitely a continuation or at least their characters are the same... but they can't fully disclose it and…
Not a continuation, this is based on a different novel. The author was a fan of 2Moons so wrote their own story based off the characters, fyi.

For those who are getting confused, this isn't a part 2 or even really has anything to do with 2Moons other than some of the characters. This series is based on a story that was written in an alternate universe to 2Moons, so while the characters are technically the same the story is different. There will be new characters introduced, etc. Just a heads up for people thinking this is a continuation, or that the story will be canon.

So far it's cute and fluffy, which I'm all for. I probably just missed KimCop haha so I'm fully aware I'm biased. I'm glad we're diving right in to Mark driving Kit nuts, but also pushing all the right buttons haha I also thought it was pretty funny. Nobody does bitchy quite like Cop, his expressions are priceless! Bas is adorable as always (I missed him as well!) I haven't finished reading the novel so I'm not entirely sure if Yu ends up with Thanu but I'm really hoping so!

Pure and Folk are giving me life. I'm glad they're end game (or at least I hope they are). I have a severe attachment to Pure lol probably because I relate to him so damn much. I wish their development hadn't been so rushed, I would have loved to have seen it play out for longer than the last few episodes of the series, but I'll take what I can get. I hope Fiat gets a leading role some day, he's f'ing adorable and I think he has some serious potential to carry off a bigger part.

I can't even say this was so bad it's good, but I also watched to the very end so I guess kudos hah. I was first pulled in (against my will lol) by North and Ongsah, but I did end up pleasantly surprised by some of the other characters, and that's probably as generous as I can be. Probably one of the biggest, most glaring issues is the subs. It can't have made that little sense to people who actually understand the language. I agree with everyone saying the last episode was the best, but that's...not saying much to be fair haha.

Disclaimer: It's just my thoughts about the show and its characters. I am not aiming to bring down or shade the…
I think Pure right now sees Folk as both a conundrum and a challenge, which I would imagine would be irresistible to someone like him. As someone who doesn't believe in love or relationships, I think Folk's dogheaded pursuit of Pai is both amusing and oddly attractive to him. He knows Folk doesn't stand a chance with Pai (Pai hasn't given him one inch, he's been very clear that he's not interested) and after this episode also seems to clearly know there's something unspoken between Pai and Itt (those are the two who make zero sense to me tbh), so his first loyalty is going to be to his best friend. One thing to remember is that Folk isn't a kid, nor is he innocent. Heck, he even offered to work in reciprocal exchange with Pure if he would help him win Pai. I'm not entirely sure what he thought would happen when he asked Pai to be his boyfriend after Pai had already told him not to approach him (knock on his door) unless he was ready to only be his friend. Pai has been absolutely frigid with Folk lol. I'm honestly a little thrown off by Folk stubbornly being so persistent after someone has repeatedly told him no.

I'll also point out that Folk had two very clear opportunities to get out of the situation he currently finds himself in with Pure. The first when Pure invited him to drink back at is his room (this isn't the first time he's invited him to his room and the first time Folk said no), and the second when Pure asked him if he was sure this was what he wanted. What I find intriguing is that it seems to me, Folk is equally as enticed by Pure. He's watched his flings with curiosity and interest since high school - something Pure is aware of - and isn't innocent to who Pure is and what he does. He was literally listening outside of Pure's door lol and was completely flustered as soon as Pure started openly flirting with him. So I think, as much as he likes Pai, he's just as beguiled by Pure as everyone else seems to be haha. Suffice to say I think they're both equally fascinated and curious about the other seeing as they're so opposite to each other. It didn't take much effort at all from Pure for Folk to end up kissing him, did it? As far as Pure/Waan/Beau I'm positive if Pure had any inkling Waan liked her he wouldn't have shown any interest. He's been pretty clear that he doesn't pursue people his friends are interested in, and he cherishes his friendship with Waan. Those are just my observations anyway, for what it's worth :)

Ok. Pure and Folk just made this infinitely more interesting. Pure has always been my favorite character so I suppose it's not all that surprising. Their dynamic and the fact that they're so completely opposite - with one being an infinite romantic and the other an infinite hedonist who eschews romantic emotional attachments - officially has me invested enough to want to know how this is going to play out. Pure has walls built a mile high, and obviously, I'm hoping Folk ends up being the person Pure feels safe enough to let see behind them, The fact that he sees Folk as a golden retriever has interesting implications. We're pretty far into the series, so I'm thinking we probably won't see much development from these two so I may have to delve into the novel to have my curiosity satisfied hah.

Lol no I think you're right. It's weird, but sometimes I think it's more common for people to write out criticism over praise? So I guess sometimes we end up seeing more of one over the other? I don't know. I honestly can't remember exactly haha it feels like so long ago since season 1 and I could be misremembering as well. Maybe I just tuned out the criticism because I really did enjoy season 1 (for the most part). I probably did myself a disservice by re-watching season 1 before watching this, since now I can't help but compare the two in my head.

This was absolutely 100% a money grab. Disappointed but not surprised considering neither Mame nor New wanted to do the second series to begin with and were talked into it. I had hopes of improvement after episode 7 but it still feels flat to me. I kept trying to pinpoint what was bothering me so much about this series, other than the obvious, and I think I've narrowed it down to the way Mame decided to portray Tin this time. I'm sure it's just a personal preference on my end, but I don't like this Tin as much. He's a wet blanket. Maybe it was just me but I felt like there was an anger that carried him through interactions with his brother in the first season that seems to be written out of his character now. There was a bitterness and will to prove himself that made him feel more like a fighter rather than a doormat. I get trying to portray that he hasn't moved beyond the sad little boy he was, but it just feels...pathetic? He had been hurt but he had never felt beaten until now, it just feels like he's given up entirely. I don't know, it's hard to watch for me. At least I can appreciate some of the cute moments between him and Can, but I still don't feel a romantic love from them. It feels more like he's clinging to the first bit of warmth and loyalty he's gotten in his life and I would hope that's not intentional. Anyway, just my own thoughts now that we're headed into the finale.

is my memory just playing tricks on me or is it really true that pretty much everyone hated Saint's acting in…
That's strange. The first season of LBC was one of the most loved and hyped of it's year, from what I remember anyway. Sure there were people who didn't like Saint or Perth for various reasons but they were far outnumbered by the people who really loved them. People tend to be more critical on here in general so that might have been what skewed things, but Saint was actually probably the most popular actor to come out of LBC, it's why he had a ton of support and people flipped their shit when they discovered he was being treated poorly. In my opinion Saint and Perth were the best actors in season 1. People complain about Saint's characterizations when...that's what Pete is like lol it's not Saint at all. If you've ever seen him in real life or in Why R U you realize what a massive difference he brought in his portrayal of Pete. That's not to say that he's a stellar actor, and I think Perth is better, but both of them were miles above any one else in season 1 IMO.

Can anyone tell me what the letter and documents at the end say? I feel like I'm missing some understanding of what happens at the end because those weren't translated in the version I watched.

Overall this movie is very...ambiguous. That's the best word I can think of to describe it. You're left feeling very uncertain about a lot of things with the characters. To me sometimes movies like this feel a little unsatisfying, which I think is the feeling I'm left with now after watching.

I have to say it, one of the worst series we've gotten in 2020 and that's saying something. I'm honestly trying to process how anyone is supposed to know what the hell is going on if they haven't read the novels because good god is the writing bad. More than half the story is missing, the characters are basically caricatures (not surprising), and the chemistry between the actors is glaringly non-existent. I have yet to see anything resembling romantic love from Tin and Can, there is love between them but I don't think it's the kind of love you're in a physical relationship with someone with. I mean for heaven's sake how many cut-aways have we had of them because there's obviously a clear reluctance on likely one or the other's part to participate in physical intimacy. I would rather they just not have scenes like that at all, they aren't really necessary and it just highlights how much they aren't comfortable together. Who wants to see that? I'm begging now, please let this be the final series. No more. Who knew they would end up doing Saint a favor kicking him out of this mess?

Tul's hatred for Tin isn't because of Hin, Tul has always hated Tin. Tul vowed he would destroy Tin and take everything…
The only reason he has a wife and a son is because he's trying to be the perfect heir. He doesn't love his wife, or is interested in her at all. They don't even live together. I don't know the details of how she got pregnant but she's basically a means to an end for him, though Tul choosing to be with her is the reason Hin decides to leave for a time.
