Well, that took a serious turn. After this, I hope Niko kicks JACE to the curb and gets picked up by a series that would actually do him justice. He has some great potential in the right hands. Curious to see where this will end. RIP to my dreams of Lukas and Lee, I honestly can't stand Henry so this is probably where I'll end my journey with this series. I swear, what is it with Lee and toxic relationships? Boy needs to stop dating at this point.

This series is so good. I knew as soon as the first episode started we were in for an amazing plot, stellar acting, and high production value. I'm already excited to watch each week.

Mond and Gun?! Sign me up.

Plus it's from the director of The Blue Hour...phew. I hope my expectations are met. Please let this be as good as I'm hoping it will be. It already reminds me a lot of 3 Will Be Free which I loved.

Episode 1 was hilarious, it kind of reminded me of Diary of Tootsies. Definitely for an older and more mature viewership which I totally appreciate.

Title Better Days
If there's an issue I'm uncomfortable about on this series, it's the power relations between the boss (Kian) and…
I completely agree with this. Kian is obviously used to getting his way, he's never had to work for anything and is content to let others (namely Aron) do things for him. He's so used to it, he doesn't see what a shitty way of treating Aron it was when the other friend came in this episode. He was like a child when a new shiny toy came into the picture, the old toy being shuffled to the side. While Aron right now is happy to humor him, I can't see this being a great dynamic going into a relationship. Being used and tugged around at the whim of your partner isn't necessarily conducive to a good relationship. From my point of view Kian needs some growing up to do first before he's even close to Aron's level of maturity, and therefore ready to be in a relationship with him.

I'll be honest, I really don't like Kian. He's a spoiled brat. I don't like how he treats Aron at all.

Ok. I'm officially here for all of this. This is one of those guilty pleasure type of shows that you watch because you enjoy the characters and who is portraying them. This has already given me so much closure for KimCop from 2Moons it's not even funny. MarkKit all the way. I also really love Bas and Dun's chemistry in real life so I'm excited Thanu finally made an appearance. And yes, he's gorgeous. Pha honestly was never my favorite character so he can scoot on out of the picture for all I care. I'm also really liking some of the new characters, like how cheeky Sab is. That tease with him and Padbok has me interested. Overall, is it this super stellar, amazing series? No but it's entertaining and I'm enjoying it a lot so far. I'll also say that Kim, Bas, and Cop are doing really well, I'm proud of them.

I don't think the pronunciation is the problem. It's the same word when you read it on paper, really. They shouldn't…
It's honestly Thai naming culture. It's very common for siblings to be named (as far as their nicknames) a very similar variation of the same thing, and for that to be tied somehow to their parents' nicknames. Thai people put a lot of importance into naming and the significance of certain names. For example common boy names are Book, Bank, Boat, Oat, Benz, Win, Golf (which why we see them a lot) and they do have significance. Book references knowledge/intelligence, Bank references wealth, etc. I read a post that talked about Thai naming culture and it was an interesting read. The author mentioned a real-life example of her friend whose name is Name and who has a brother whose name is Nam...which means Name in Thai. In the author's family her dad's name is On, her mom's name is Oh and her siblings are Oct, Oil, and Ong. Also in Thai the spellings would be different from their romanization, so there's more variance. Obviously they aren't going to consider what it looks like in English as they're writing this in their language and for Thai readers. Thai authors are also going to follow the format of naming in their culture. I'd really recommend delving into the culture as it sometimes answers questions you might not realize.

Niko is stunning for real. He also has more acting ability than I've seen from anyone in these series, so that's a plus. The production value also rose somewhat which is...surprising. Overall, it's four episodes with a gorgeous lead who's a more interesting character than we've had so far, so why not?

In my very humble opinion, Pure and Folk's storyline (plus JJ and Fiat's acting) are hard carrying this series. I feel like at some point I gave up on Itt and Pai without even realizing it hah it's not that they're bad per se? I just think the writing in general probably let them down. There were quite a few decisions made with the pacing of this series that didn't make a lot of sense to me. I've heard different accounts of what the novel is like, and it seems to be that their relationship is written differently (and makes more sense) there, which is a shame. I've also always been bothered by the bullying to lovers trope too, it doesn't sit well with me. Overall I'm not blown away by this series, but I'm kind of grateful we get to see Fiat shine through it haha.

What is the name of the Wattpad story that this story is based on?
Gen Y, the series lol or in thai วัยรุ่นวุ่นYรัก (Wai Roon Woon Y Rak). The full title of the first book is called Gen Y: First Love and the series is written by Liulijun. There are three novels in the series (as far as I know). Oh and I'm actually not sure if it was first published on Wattpad.

On Friend Forever Nov 22, 2020
I've only watched up until ep 9 since I can't find ep 10 yet so my thoughts are based off that. There's nothing super outstanding about this series, though I do think they have some young actors with good acting potential. None of the pairings have had much development, but Tin and Sea's soft boy friendship (flirtship?) is really cute.

I know a lot of people are having trouble with Oil but personally, I love him. He's probably one of my favorite characters in the series. I understand why he's allowing himself to open up to something new. If you think about it, he's been in love with Tan his whole life without much indication that his feelings are reciprocated. Neither of them has made it very clear they have feelings for each other, and Oil clearly thinks Tan just sees him as a little brother. I don't think he's brave enough to test the waters to see if there might be something more. I imagine him potentially ruining the relationship with the most important person in his life he has left is too much risk. Also, there's the threat of Kao. Oil understands that Kao could potentially try to hurt Tan with any evidence that they might be in a relationship. That's two major reasons to put distance between himself and Tan. I also think he was surprised to find he has feelings for Khun, and since he is single I think he's decided to try to move on.

One thing that is STILL confusing to me about this series is It. Why do so many people want to be his friend? Why does he have so much power over everyone? I just don't get it. He's a bully and quite honestly a horrible friend. I've never understood everyone treating him like he's some kind of God. It's bizarre.

On Ben X Jim Nov 20, 2020
Title Ben X Jim
This series is surprisingly complex. I think the one character that I just can't fully get behind is Flo. She just seems like such a horrible friend. I was gratified to see that Jim put a pause on things with his relationship when it seemed he realized his feelings for Ben. I didn't really appreciate the way he seemed to bait and tease him, but I think it was also his way of working through what he was feeling perhaps?

I am a little concerned by how possessive he is, but I know some people like that in their partners. As long as it's not crossing the line into restrictive/abusive behavior to each his own I guess. I do think Ben does like that in Jim, and maybe in general, considering his previous relationship choices. He seems to like to feel needed and like he's his partner's whole world. Which is honestly pretty great character-building considering we know that his parents make him feel incapable. I actually really like Ben, even if I can't fully relate to characters that are so invested in their love interest they put everything on the line and in the process might lose a bit of themselves.

I love Olan but mainly because I love the actor portraying him lol. I'm a bit on the fence about him as a character. What's happening with him and Yana? That just such a weird turn. Are they trying to make it look like they're going to get together or what? I kind of wish Ben had been able to put things with Jim in the past to give Olan a chance because I think it would have been perhaps a healthier relationship for him, but who knows. Olan does seem to have some issues with boundaries. Probably what I like the most so far is that none of the characters are very black and white, they all have pretty realistic character flaws that I think could be relatable to viewers. I think the next episode will be really interesting. I swear though, it was obvious that the end wasn't consensual and Ben wasn't attempting something with Leo, I really hope Jim doesn't slide back into asshole territory. So far this isn't my favorite series or the best we've seen even recently, but I am enjoying it more so than I thought I would in the beginning.
