The way that Tol looks at Tin now is absolutely everything. There is so much love in his eyes he can't hide it. The emotional chemistry between Tae and Tee is so good. I just need the final scenes of them together already. Wedding! Wedding or we riot!
There is also something so poetic about Tol now having to live through and experience everything that Tin did. Having to work through his own timeline to truly rescue Tin, not just from death but from himself. Like...can we just pause to think about the brilliance of that...it's exactly what Tin had to do for Tol. I don't think I had considered quite what an impact that would have on Tol's feelings and cementing their relationship. Because sure, Tol was already in love with Tin by the time the final loop started but I don't think there's anything quite like seeing the person you love fighting tooth and nail for you AND having to do the same in return to keep that person by your side. This is probably one of the most beautiful love stories, when it comes to development and depth of feeling, I've seen in a while. It's like you have full faith that if Tol and Tin could make it through this, they're making it through anything. I also loved how realistic their love was. There has been so much humanity throughout this series that I appreciate. Not all the characters are perfect but like...none of them are complete assholes? What a novel idea lol. Ok, other than Lukpair and Win but they get the villain card along with Sak and Doi all day, I don't care how "redempted" they were in Tol's loop lol.
Honestly, what am I going to do with my Mondays once this ends...my whole morning now revolves around me being available to watch the live stream, and then I spend all day thinking about the episode and rewatching it at night lmao just me?
Definitely. Someone posted the teaser for next week, and it shows Tol going back like Tin used to T_T
Yeah, I definitely think he's not going to remember. At least for a little bit. It'll probably come back to him like how Tol started to remember Tin in the later episodes. I think the stronger their feelings are for each other and the more time they spend together in loops means it's easier for them to reconnect and remember each other when they have to re-start. It's going to be painful to watch, but we'll get there! Someone commented that it seems only fair that now Tol gets to experience what it's like and I found that funny and a pretty good point haha.
Where are you all watching it? I can't find episode 10!!! Also after all these comments, why am I so scared to…
Don't worry, it'll be reuploaded in a few hours if you make a search for it (I usually like to watch it on bilibili or dailymotion if I miss it), the official source takes it down after the episode airs on YT.
Can we just appreciate sing a bitHe's the MVP in this episode 😭
Right there with you. Not only did he circumvent a murder attempt to disappear evidence, he proceeded to get Dr. Sak and Doi caught (smart boy turning everything into the police before heading out to meet Doi), and THEN calmly proceeded to try and perform a risky emergency procedure on one of his best friends. What an ace.
I'm doubtful of a "twist" only because it doesn't fit in at all with their plot-line and I can't see them doing…
I think because a lot of the aspects in the novel are missing in the live-action version. How long he's in captivity for, how much he's deprived of (food, water, human interaction, etc), the positive/negative reinforcement for behaviors that's Vegas conditioning him, the number of times he rapes him, the switch Pete mentally makes from fight to survival mode...it's all glossed over so it's not a prominent connection to make. I'm not sure if you could call it Stockholm syndrome with only what they've shown in the series tbf, which I think was intentional on the part of the writing/production team. As far as I know, they had made statements previous to the show airing that Vegas and Pete's story was going to be tamer, i.e. more palatable to audiences which is what we're seeing. I've seen so many comments with positive descriptors for their relationship, like beautiful, which seems like an odd choice of words to me but everyone is going to make different connections. Personally, in either depiction of their story, I would be more apt to use words like sad or tragic. I think it takes away from their characterization and from their story to try to dumb it (or fluff it) down that way. Vegas is a broken, mentally unstable individual who starts to abuse the only person he's ever going to have any kind of romantic feelings for because that's all he knows, and Pete is so used to abuse from those who love him that he accepts Vegas' flaws as a normal condition of being. As I said, it's sad and tragic but you can see why these two particular people would gravitate toward each other and start to revolve around each other. It's a co-dependency cycle in many ways.
Can I just say that I super appreciate this comment section. Some comment sections I'm actually scared to comment in, they're a little too intense LOL and actually sometimes have people commenting really shitty things. I love how most of us just stumbled across this and became completely absorbed in the plot to become superfans haha. Every episode unraveling here is so wholesome and it's made my watching experience that much better! All the speculation, and discussion...I love coming in after each episode and reading what everyone has to say <3
Also on the topic of tropes, I almost got scared at that moment when Tol started looking through Tin's notes and…
Exactly! That was one of my absolute favorite small moments in this episode. I just commented on this above but Tol reading out each item Tin had written down confirmed a lot about Tin's thinking that was intentionally nebulous, like his reasoning for why he wanted Tol to be his boyfriend. That was a total "want" not a "need" in the schematic of him saving Tol, and he KNEW that. I remember there was some understandable debate in the comments over whether Tin really understood what he needed to do to end the loop, i.e. Dr. Sak was the key not necessarily Tol. And yes, my man knew wtf was going on, he's not dumb lol making Tol his boyfriend wasn't necessary to his survival but it was necessary to Tin's heart so it made it on the list XD. I don't know that little moment was really poignant to me, especially Tol's reaction.
Mine was Tin's bucket/wish list number 2 & 3; Tol must survive & He must be my boyfriend😊 .
When he read that! My heart...also, this confirms that list item #3 was a total want not a "need" to save Tol lmao. I know people were debating how much Tin understood, but that man ain't dumb. He knew Tol being his boyfriend wasn't necessary to save him, but he was already a goner at that point and just wanted to make that happen for himself haha. Tol reading each list item confirmed that Tin knew the ultimate way of ending things was exposing Dr. Sak not dating Tol but you know...love matters.
In case you're looking for the preview of the next episode 🥰https://twitter.com/SBForce18/status/1538938664549462016?t=3BIyBlaCt_92MjhfyOo6Pw&s=19
Thank you! Ugh, I felt some kind of way seeing the direct reversal of the earlier episodes with Tol searching for Tin and Tin showing up looking all confused. The next episodes are going to be so good, I can already feel it.
I KNEW the last episode was way too calm 😬I feel a bit heartless because I didn't cry but wow. How great this…
Me too! The "re-watchability" of this series is so high. Not only am I going to miss it when it's over, there are so many layers and intelligent writing you're likely to continue to find easter eggs all over the place you didn't see before.
Another incredible episode. You know the writing and direction are on point when you're holding your breath, waiting for something to happen, thinking wait...this HAS to happen right? and when what you're expecting doesn't happen you instantly burst into tears because it was so unexpected. That was literally me in the final moments of this episode. All the acting was amazing. They all tried so damn HARD. And Tol, God I'm heartbroken. I LOVED this twist, so well done, came at the perfect time...why are the episodes a whole week apart? I keep having to take a deep breath thinking about what happened because my anxiety is still through the roof lmao.
Also, can we give some massive applause for the characters actually making intelligent decisions and not falling into plol hole cliches? I've noticed that a lot this series and am grateful for it. For example, I was so expecting Sing to be caught up but that man is too damn smart! Yes, to making the smart choice and not showing up in an unknown location under suspicious circumstances with the evidence tucked under your arm. LOL
So when I first heard about VegasPete's story, I thought it sounded awful and it made me less excited for the…
I'm doubtful of a "twist" only because it doesn't fit in at all with their plot-line and I can't see them doing that massive of a re-write in 4 episodes. Pete becomes submissive through sustained abuse by Vegas during his capture in the novel, it is a Stockholm dynamic, one magnified by a past history of abuse from a parent. Vegas essentially conditions him. The rewrite is a pretty good trade-off, only because there is a level of credibility in there being a foundation for something to grow from a still "free-thinking" Pete. Though yes, it's sad that foundation is built off the fact that Pete "understands" abuse. The Pete that we know and love ceases to exist for a point in the novel, his spirit is broken and he becomes someone else in order to survive and from that a relationship grows between them. In the live-action this would be way too difficult for audiences to swallow so they essentially muffled things. That's my take any way.
