L&R is a great drama. Tbh, if you can't get used to the voices it's best to forget Chinese dramas because in 80% of them, the females have that high pitched annoying voice.

If you start watching this drama with Nirvana in Fire in mind, you'll definitely end up disappointed as these are 2 completely different genres of dramas. Nirvana in Fire is a political drama whereas this focuses more on martial arts. I don't see why you would compare these 2 dramas.

I wish I could forget it and watch it all over again.

I mean, to each his own. We all have our tastes and not everybody can like the same thing. Eternal Love is up there as one of the most popular dramas but I have several issues with that drama and I can list several similar dramas which are better.

This drama is now one of my favourites. Great plot, great characters and great acting. Cheng Yi did such a great job.

I thought Xuan Ji was a great female lead. For the first time we have a female God of War. She's the strongest, stronger than the ML and she's badass. But at the same time, she is a normal girl. I hope to see more female characters like her.

But this is a ROMANCE drama so I don't understand your complaints. The main leads are Xuan Ji and Si Feng. This is THEIR story.

I watched Haechi and she pretty much ruined what should've been a strong female character.

I didn't finish W but I felt the same way. But Han Hyo Joo did a great job in Dong Yi.

People are allowed to share their opinions. The writer did not say anything out of pocket about the actresses. She merely judged their acting ability and I am of the same opinion as them.

Tbh, I can understand the frustration. I'm on ep 13 and they've pretty much built up a sweet romantic story between the leads. It's disappointed to hear that's pretty much thrown away.

Wow that's a shame. I'm on episode 13 and I'm rooting for the main leads. I thought that was the direction it was going.

I tried this drama because of the high ratings and endless praise. I expected to be blown away by an exceptional drama but in my opinion, it was a cheesy, cringy, boring mess. I had to drop it. The plot had so much potential.

It didn't feel like that to me. I feel like it was very kind in its portrayal of North Korea. It made 0 reference to NK's regime.

DISCLAIMER: For anyone about to watch this, while it is a great drama, it ends with a major cliffhanger. There will be a season 2 in 2022 and a third season (allegedly). So it might be a loooong time till we get to see the ending (and trust me, you WILL want to see it).

Just giving y'all a heads up before you invest 40+ hours and end up salty and impatient like me.

They dragged a few scenes too long. For example the banquet scene. While it was great, it was a little too long.

Like relax, LOL. Some rando on the internet's opinion should not have you this heated. You should also read up on gaslighting before throwing the word around like that.

There are several great dramas that get buried for several reasons. For one, Eternal Love has a much more impressive cast than this one and Ye Hua is way more attractive than Jiu Chen. Anyways, I'm not lobbying for any drama. I'm just expressing my opinion on a forum and it just so happens to trigger you. Like relax, buddy. I'm pretty sure most of my statements were preceded by "I FEEL" and "I THINK".

I waited for this to finish airing so I can binge and that's just what I did. Great drama! Great acting. I loved the ending and growth from Sang tae. Although at the beginning of the drama, I was quite annoyed with how Moon Yeong used ST against GT.
