Yeah that's true. Maybe I would've enjoyed it more if I went in with different expectations. I honestly started this drama because I felt like watching a drama with a badass female lead. I've watched the Legends. I think I'll watch Princess Agents next.

I liked Fuyao as a female character too. But this drama presented itself in such way that Fuyao was going to be this strong character when she got a power up early in the show and that was pretty much it. This show was all Wuji, wuji, wuji, wuji. It felt like he was the hero in this story and Fuyao was just his support. She had no goals or aspiration of her own. All she ever did was support Wuji's. Even the secondary characters got more shine than Fuyao. Several episodes of the two brothers' backstory and we get like 1 episode solving Fuyao's secret identify. Her whole purpose in breaking the seals and finding her identity was barely mentioned in the show except at the last minute. I feel like this show raised my expectations and had me waiting for something that never came. I don't feel like Fuyao had any 'moments' in this drama when it's literally named after her.
Anyone else didn't feel the romance between Zhuzhu and Zhan Beiye? I felt like his character was forced to be with her because she gave up her eyes for him.
I'm on episode 47 and I have started skipping. This drama is extremely boring. The story is supposed to be about Fuyao but it's littered with irrelevant, boring subplots. I have started skipping all the side story parts because they are not interesting and the character are boring. What makes it worse is that the drama seems intent on focusing on these uninteresting characters instead of FUYAO. I have 20 episodes left in this drama and we don't have a hint of Fuyao's true identity nor a show of her true powers. Breaking seals? What's that? I completely forgot despite it being one of the main plots of the show, it is barely mentioned.
The drama is full of plot holes and all of the antagonists suck. A cunning man like Qi Zhen gets defeated just like that. I kept thinking he had some trump card because his defeat was so out of character.
Lastly, why are the secondary characters in this drama so terrible at acting? It's like they ran out of money casting Yang Mi and Ven Gao so they got randoms. Even Ven Gao and Yangmi disappointed me. I hate Xiao Qi and Zhuzhu's characters because they can not act. Zhuzhu's blind scenes were almost laughable. I know Chinese dramas don't have the best acting but this is the worst I've seen.
This drama had a great start but I think I'll skip some and try to push through to the end. Would not recommend. It has great ratings but it turned out to be a disappointment.
Basic Chinese drama. Bad plot, lots of loopholes, one dimensional characters, exaggerated, over the top and a Mary Sue female lead who all the males fall in love with and all the females scheme against. A very simple drama and don't bother reading the synopsis because the writers forget their own plot.
