Eternal love is immensely popular, same for the pillow book and it is my opinion that Love and Destiny is better than both when it isn't as popular. I'm perfectly within my right to share this opinion. Everyone has their likes and dislikes. There's no need to get upset.

Honestly, I loved Eternal Love but it was a forgettable drama for me. For me the story was weak and I'm just about tired of the jealous villainess trying to ruin the main couple's relationship with schemes.
Bai Qian was a great female lead and the love story between the main couple was better. They also had more chemistry. But Love and Destiny had a better story overall, in my opinion.
But it's just my opinion. We all have our likes. For me, while I love romance dramas, a good story is more important to me.

Honestly I haven't gotten far in this drama. I think I stopped on episode 13 or so. It felt super boring. As with eternal love, Bai Fengjiu's love for Di Jun was annoying and obssessive. It seems to be the same here. I will pick it up again sometime and hope it sticks this time.

Her character is so over the top. Chinese dramas love bubbly, naive female characters. But I related to her so much during her falling out with Wei Wei. As someone who was side kick to a considerably more attractive friend, this was the most real thing in the entire drama.

They were way too perfect. Their relationship was perfect, their whole was perfect. Not very interesting to watch. I watched it because of the high ratings and was quite disappointing.
I watched this because of the high ratings but it is so boring. First of all, both main characters had the personalities of a box. They were way too perfect and extremely boring. They were both extremely good looking, smart and good at everything. Neither Wei wei or Xiao Nao had any negative quality or weakness to make them more human. The main characters are too bland. The side characters were way more interesting.
The plot itself was great but there wasn't much going on in the drama except fluff so I watched it on 2x the speed. Again, the biggest hindrance to the plot was the main characters. Xiao Nai and Wei Wei were just too perfect. Whenever they were faced with a problem, you never felt like you were at the edge of your seat because they are so good at everything, they solve their problems so effortlessly.
I felt like the romance was boring too. It started off great but the characters are just too damn perfect. Not once did the couple have a fight or disagreement throughout the entire drama.
