Well the joke's on them! I love seeing it do well, I'm a fan of both actors. I hope this leads to a lot more opportunities for both.

THANK YOU! I'm soooooo tired of so many sad or "open ended" dramas lately! Just give me an HEA already, after investing 30-40 hours into a show and its leads. I'm still upset about The Demon Hunter's Romance AND The Story of Pearl Girl, so it would be nice to see both leads with a happy ending here.

I think both leads are stunning. And they have amazing chemistry. But yes, you can see how and why her beauty captivates him even though he tries to resist it. I had to laugh in the scene when he asks her with contempt "Do you think you're so stunning I would be captivated by it?" or something like that - after he was OBVIOUSLY totally stunned the first time he actually saw her clearly. It took him a second to remember he hates her and her family, lol.

Yes! I'm so glad this is finally airing so we can see it. Both actors clearly put their all into it.

Right?? Same! And it was in the trailer, but you get all of the emotion and context underpinning it in the episode.

WOW, this might end up being my favorite drama of the year so far if it can continue with the kind of quality and storytelling in these first episodes. I really like both actors from other dramas, and the chemistry here is 🔥! The way they are both very strategic and smart, but he's more aggressive and she's more manipulative. I love everything about it. The scene where she "chooses" to run to him instead of her deadbeat ex-fiance was soooo well done. And he runs out to save her even though at that point he was still absolutely against marrying her. He has no idea he's already caught, ha ha.

This is what I'm hoping for! Largely because I'm only here for those two actors. I adore Lee Seung Hyub and hope he gets a ML role someday, and same for my girl Seo Hye Won, queen of SFL roles.

Thank you! I do pay for VIP on all of them, lol. But I haven't noticed any vertical dramas on them? Just the regular long form and short form c-dramas, but not the micro drama verticals.

Okay, can someone help me? I'm JUST getting into the vertical short dramas and short shorts, I usually watch dramas on IQIYI, Tencent, YOUKU, Viki, Netflix, sometimes Youtube. I hate ads with a fiery passion. What do I need to do to be able to watch some of these without annoying ads and (hopefully) with halfway decent subtitles? Are there specific apps similar to the ones I mentioned above I can get, or....?

I saw some cute BTS of this couple in the many dramas they have together, and I love that a few of these short drama actors are RL couples or married who work together. So different from the dating "scandals" that happen anytime a popular long form drama actor is suspected of dating someone.

Yeah, same. This one has some really pretty imagery. And the ML seems to be very focused on pushing the FL outside her comfort zone, lol. "I only have sibling type feelings for you!" "....while you're having nightly erotic dreams about me. Okay, sure. If you're going to keep lying, I guess we're going to keep playing this game."

I run a very modest little group on FB for fans of various asian dramas, and I rec these when they come up as "Hey everyone, this a new short-form c-drama, with all of the usual darker type tropes. If you're in the mood for one, this one is good so far. The ML actually knows how to kiss." 😂 Everyone knows exactly what I'm talking about.

All of this! I'm always surprised at the number of comments complaining on short dramas, from people who clearly have watched others. Like...you kind of know what you're getting into when you watch one.

I haven't watched a ton of his dramas, so it took me a minute to realize that the ML here is the same actor who played the clueless demon sect leader in Love of the Divine Tree 😂. I say that because the story had to hit him over the head several times for him to figure out his second in command was in love with him, when it was obvious to everyone around him. That comedy duo was actually my favorite B plot in a series in awhile.

ANYWAY, nice to see his acting range here. And these leads have some great chemistry together!

I have to say, this show is unexpectedly hilarious at times! I'm really enjoying it.

So my theory: good "friend" Huajin tried to have fiancee removed, but Nianqi his accomplice had a thing for him and somehow faked his death, gave him amnesia and...installed him as her brother, while simultaneously constantly flirting with him, which creeps him out as much as it does me.

Oh, he 100% is. Those test results were definitely wrong.

I'm 90% sure the new Commander is in love with the sister and has been for years, and he got himself stationed there to look out for her. And yeah, husband is definitely suspicious. There's a reason the sister took her own life in the other timeline, and he and his horrible mother are it.

My theory: The husband is already having an affair, maybe even arranged by the mother to get a son. (Although why they wouldn't just force the sister to accept a concubine into the house, IDK, but the mother at least seems bent on offing her in favor of a new wife.) After all of the drama dies down and the sister is free of that awful family, she and the Commander will end up together. Pure speculation, but that's the direction I see right now.

I always knew this was a romance! This couple is just a slow burn between two very broken people, but romance has been happening all along in their own unique way, lol. Just like that "confession but not a confession". They are not a normal couple, but wow is their chemistry 🔥. And I agree...I REALLY HOPE a kiss is coming.

Episode 21: That was a love confession! I thought we were maybe going to get a kiss, even, but then it turned into a hug. I should have known. Goodness, the way these two stare at each other is more intense than other drama couples kissing. Both of these leads are excellent at acting with their eyes, especially Shaun Dou. 🔥

Episode 22: D*** it, Danxin!!! I knew it. 😭
