No, no trip to Korea. i'm planning to do it someday, though.
feel free to ask more about Japan. I could talk to you all night long too , especially if it's about Japan. But I need to go to sleep, i'm planning to go to work tomorrow and it's already almost 1AM in France. Do not feel offended, please, but I really need to rest. You can ask anything, I will answer you tomorrow for sure.
so good night, i think I will dream of Japan thanks to you!!!

My father was concerned (he is always like that), and the first time, when I took the plane I thought : " what am I doing, all alone in a foreign country so ar from home? " But you can reassure your closed ones by telling them it's the safest country of the world. And if you cannot go alone in Japan, then you cannot go in a any country alone...
don't know if you can actually stalk Oguri with your pic, but i guess you'll be happy to see so many famous faces on ads in the streets!
I've got so may other things to do, and maybe some guides to recommend, so feel free to ask anytime for informations!

yes, you can totally do it by yourself!!! I went alone the first time and with a friend the second one. I've dealt with a travel agency for the plane tickets, hotels and the Japan Rail Pass, but you can also do it alone thanks to the internet. Don't know where you are living, but just take care if you need a visa. It's not necessary for french people, but I guess that's the case for most European citizens... To establish your visits program, a good guide is sufficient. do not forget the JR Pass, it's very useful if you want to travel in the country. And if you are lost there, do not worry : there will always be a nice Japanese who will help you find your way!.

so if you're a big fan of Japanese culture, you have to go there, and enjoy all the things you can watch in dramas. that's for real!!! this year, i've tried sleeping and having dinner in a ryokan, going to a public bath (will never do it again), drinking tea in a tea house, and meeting school girls in uniform!!! and visiting temples, of course. and walking on the famous Shibuya pedestrian crossing... and many other things... I will stop here now otherwise I could talk about it for hours.
It's really a very good experience, I hope you can make it too, and soon!
and great, you can speak french! How did you learn it? Im' used to writing in English so it's okay, but feel free to write in french if you want.
I'm glad I'm on this website, that's also so funny and enjoying meeting people from all over the world and discovering you have some precious little things in common!!!

yeah, three weeks ago, for the second time. it's also and will forever stay my dream trip. I just love the atmosphere in the country. And Japanese people are really heartwarming people, even if it's sometimes hard to discuss with them. It's a safe country for women, even alone, and it's pretty easy to move between all the big cities.
I wish you to go there as soon as possible !!!

sorry I need a second post to complete. there are also the mangas from Tezuka, I think there are classics though I haven't read them. And if you're a fan of Miyazaki, I think that there is a manga for Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind.
Maybe You can find some of them online. I've only read Kimi ni todoke online though.
well, maybe you can check in the anime and manga part of the Japan section, other MDLers can help you more than I do.
And if you are a big Korea fan, why not try any korean "manga" (don't remember the name). Maybe some of your favorites stories were manga before. But I cannot help you in that part, sorry.

for mangas... well, i don't really read a lot of them. you can start with Kimi ni todoke. The anime follows the manga, so the story won't really change, but of course the story in the manga is in advance. you can try other stuffs like Fruits basket (I think there is also the anime) and ouran High School Host Club (there is also an anime). Contrary to Kimi ni Todoke, Fruits Basket and OHSHC in manga are finished (and i don't think the anime are going until the end of the story). Or any from the Clamp's (Clover, card Captor Sakura, xxxHolic, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle... I haven't read them except the last one)
If you want something different, try some shonen (it's for boys, but I found the stories more interesting). Deathnote was a hit (finished), and the one I would recommend is Monster, though the story is quite violent and not for everybody(don't know how old you are so be careful).

concerning kimi ni todoke, are you also reading the manga? And who is your favorite character?
For Summer Nude, i'm quite disappoointed because Yamashita's character is not so interesting, and the girls... well they tend to become annoying. In fact, the only one I really like is Hikaru. I like this kind of character, even if it's a stereotype.

that's right!!! Episode 2 was better imo and finally I think that's the kind of drama I will enjoy watching every week, even if it won't become a masterpiece. And Yamamoto... so kawaï!!!

I've finally watched the first episode of Yamada-kun to 7nin no majo... it was crazier than I imagined but was quite funny. i think I will continue watching it. and i find it refresshing watching young japanese character kissing all along the serie, that's so quite rare in J-dramas. and once again, Yamamoto is so cute in playing young student!!

hello! Thanks for the friend's request! I'm not a lot into Kdramas, but I can totally understand how you can get distracted by Lee Min Ho in his dramas... (i confess I only watched Personnal taste because of him) Please don't feel embarrassed, or I will feel even more ashamed of daydreaming about those young boys at my age (okay, i'm not so old, but still...).

hello! thanks for the friend's request. It's the first time I think I met someone whose favorite J-actor is Daito Shunsuke. though not my favorite one, I really enjoy watching him in dramas. I've discovered him in Tumbling where I totally fall for his character, and I find him absolutly great playing Kyoya in OHSHC. Need to watch more aout him, so I would really appreciate some recommendations if you've got some.
Another nice article, thanks a lot! I can relate a lot to what you are saying , especially accepting other's difference and embracing the spontaneous part of me. And I wonder how many of us are "switch girls. I'm not ashamed anymore to say i'm watching asian dramas, and to be true, i'm feeling better since I came on MDL : I realised that so many people around the world like those flower boys or those silly but cute romance!
I'm impressed by your change of attitude regarding your job. Though I've also thought I should be more implicated in mine, I never managed to change my bad point of view about it. Trying to be more happy to work is something I still can't imagine (though I know how lucky I am to have this kind of job). I wish dramas can really have an impact on me. At least I will try to follow your example...
