This is exactly what happened to me... I'm just not invested in any of these characters (Except Atom) to deal…
I'll admit, I didn't mind them at first cause I felt Shin was just someone you needed to get close to for him to open up. He was definitely too blunt at times to the point of being an ass and he doesn't know how to talk to people. As he opened up to Peach though, his character grew on me and I felt like he was changing for the better. Then episode 4 happened and everyone except Atom started acting stupid. Peach 100% shouldn't have lied and gone with Guy anyways, but I also felt like Shin's reaction was way overboard. With the previews/scenes I've seen for Ep 5&6, I wouldn't care if Peach ended up with either of them. I dont mind angst in a storyline to add to the plot, so long as it has a happy ending lol, but I hated the way they did episode 4 because everyone was acting so selfish and stupid in their own ways. And as I said before, the previews for episode 5 makes it seem like it only gets worse. When the angst starts to feel stupid to me, that is what makes me want to drop a series. It also doesn't help that the love triangle trope is my least favorite. I really wish they would come up with new ideas for adding drama to a series becasue I hate love triangles so much unless it will lead to a Poly relationship, which sadly never happens.. Despite my reservations about watching the last two episodes, and feeling l like I may potentially feel like I've wasted 2 hours of my life, I probably will at some point finish this. If it had 5 more episodes I would probably drop it, but since there are only 2 I feel like I may as well finish it. Sorry for the long response 😅
I’m feeling like Way may be the enigma and maybe he’s being secretly used by adopted father to get Babe pregnant.…
I don't need to go rewatch from Ep1. In my personal opinion, I don't think it's been obvious from Ep1 that Way has been using mind control abilities on Babe. Yes, he has 100% been manipulating him for years and yes it has most likely been with him using whatever his abilities officially are. However from the viewers POV, in my opinon it seemed more like normal manipulation in the beginning. People manipulate each other all the time with words or phrases they know will trigger someone to get them to see or do things the way they want. With us having not seen any of their history together until the previous episode, I don't think it is that big of a stretch for people to not realize right away that Way's manipulation was with the help of an ability. He came across as a guy secretly in love with his best friend who was very clearly jealous, angry, and untrusting of Charlie getting close. That was what they wanted us to focus on so it's understandable that some people may not have seen it. Yes he touches Babe, but it is only recent episodes that they have really started to focus on it more and make it even more obvious. I personally started noticing from the 'no one can love us comment', I can't remember how it was worded, when he first tried to warn Babe about Charlie. I knew 100% that something was off then, especially because of Babe's reaction. I know everybody's brain works differently and maybe there were some moments that went over my head, but again in my opinion it isn't until recently that they are starting to emphasize the touching, especially the most recent episode, before he says something.
I’m feeling like Way may be the enigma and maybe he’s being secretly used by adopted father to get Babe pregnant.…
I agree, I feel like Way has some sort of manipulation ability or something! This is the second time I've noticed Babe do what he says after getting touched and they were even more obvious about it this time! I've never read the novel either, I just asked someone about it who has and they told me what happens in the novel between Charlie, Way, and Babe. I would say more, but I don't want to spoil anything else. Exactly 100%! I always hated that trope in old yaoi manga I've read when I was younger. It seemed like every other manga had that in it, the 'I just love you so much I can't control myself' trope 😒 It's gross and I hate it. I'm seriously praying they don't keep that plot.
Very good episode! I'm so glad they didn't drag out the Babe being angry at Charlie because he knows Tony plot. I was worried they would have the trope of 'I refuse to listen to your explanation' so I'm really glad that Babe actually sat down and listened. The one thing that did bother me though is the fact that when he found out Charlie's ability is absorption and he is the reason for Babe's loss of abilities, he was having all these flashbacks and had this look on his face like he was hurt but then they just hugged and didn't talk about it. I know someone said in the novel that he doesn't want his abilities back, but in the series they haven't shown anything like that. They show in the scene that he seems upset and he's having flashbacks of all their moments and then they just have them hug.. it just felt kind of unfinished. I'm very very scared for Jeff now 🥺 Knowing that Tony is after him, I just know he's going to get kidnapped! That preview also didn't assuage my fears at all. I'm also very scared that what I was told happens in the novel between Way and Babe is going to happen in the series.
NOVEL SPOILERS!! I swear, if Way tries to sexually assault Babe his character will be irredeemable for me! As much as I'm intrigued and like them now, I won't give a shit about the PeteWay couple or whatever reason/excuse they come up with! If that actually happens in the series, nothing can bring his character back from that! I have some hope that it won't happen considering the person told me that Pete didn't exist in the book, so I'm praying that that means they're going to change that and not have that happen. Cause as much as Way has irritated/pissed me off, overall I do like his character and sympathize with him to an extent. If they have him do that though, I'm going to hate him!
While there were a couple plot choices I didn't like, and Jade irritated me a couple times, overall I really enjoyed this series. Personally, I love slow burns if it's done correctly and I feel like this one was done pretty well. I like that the few problems, besides the obvious Jade assuming Mai likes Gus plot, they introduced weren't dragged out to long. I am also glad they had Jade bring up him being a very jealous person. That was something I felt definitely needed to be talked about considering how much it ate at Jade last time and I was really worried they wouldn't talk about it so I'm glad they proved me wrong. My one complaint, aside from the plot choices I didn't like, was that I really wish there had been more moments between the side couple. I thought they were adorable and we didn't really see much of them sadly. Otherwise, I thought this series was a fun and cute watch! Not my favorite, not something I'd rush to watch again, but it was an enjoyable watch. Not going to lie though those NC scenes blew me away! I was not expecting that at all from TutorYim!
Is this worth finishing? I had liked it so far, but all the characters managed to irritate me in episode 4 aside from Atom. Because of that I haven't watched the last two episodes yet and the preview for episode 5 made it seem like it just got worse. I was planning on finishing it since its only 2 episodes, but everytime I go to turn it on I lose interest.. I know its a matter of opinion and preferences, but I just wanted to see how some other people felt about this series and the ending.
I loved this episode so much!! Day and Mhok were so cute and I loved seeing Day slowly accepting his feelings. I also loved seeing a Night and Porjai thing starting to happen because I've been shipping them since she called him handsome 😆 Those moments with Night taking pictures from afar broke my heart though. Seeing him taking pictures cause Day may want them later on, but not interact with him because he knows Day dislikes him, just hurt so much 🥺 I'm dying to find out what happened between them because those feelings clearly aren't mutual. Night clearly still loves and really cares for his brother and I can't wait to see them reconcile. Also that end though!! What whiplash! Going from super happy and ecstatic to feeling Days fear when everything went black... 🥺 Next week looks more hopeful than I thought it would though. I was worried Day would retreat back into his shell when that happened. I'm glad having Mhok around has helped him. One thing I didn't like this episode though is I personally feel August was forgiven a little too easily.. Still, as always I'm super excited for the next episode!
someone commented on IG that this has a sad ending with Mhok dying. please tell me this is not true!! i can not…
I really hope this is a lie because it will honestly ruin the series for me. This has been one of the best GMMTV series I've ever watched and Jimmy amd Sea are both doing an amazing job! However, I can't see any plot justification for killing off Mhok. I know he has kind of a sketchy past, but they could have him just get hurt. Killing him off doesn't make sense, I don't understand why that would be necessary. I feel like it would be just for the sake of having a sad ending.
Another incredible episode. I just have one question. At the end of this episode Tharn has another vision of the…
Well the Inspector and Singh, to me, were both looking at him with a questioning look on their face. So I think at least they were at least slightly taken aback.
Nai is heavily underused. He literally have a supernatural ability to see and communicate with ghost and the closet…
I didnt understand why they even bothered giving him that power. When they revealed that, I fully expected it to be used to help Dan with what was going on with him, but then as you said he very rarely used it so I was like 'what was the point..' Part of me kind of assumed Nai tried to ignore and not engage with the ghosts he could see before Dan came along, which is fair if that was the case. If that is the case though, it makes it kind of a pointless addition to the story. Is that power he has the reason he was able to talk to Dan in the shadow realm or could anyone have done that..? If so, that could be one of the main reasons he was given that power. Regardless, I'm hoping that if they do a S2 they make more use of it.
For a brother who literally told Dan that he can't confirm if spirit exist, it seems weird he will perform a ritual…
Right! He was so skeptical and non believing of all that despite Dan showing the same signs and saying the same things as Trin.. Thats one reason why his ending confused me because it may have been suicide, but it looked like a ritual with him lighting all those candles. It's possible that because of Dan's coma and the possibility of his death, that Brother Anurak had a change of heart about the supernatural stuff, though they didnt really show that. Its also possible that despite suicide being against his teachings that his guilt for his past with the students, and now possibly some guilt about Dan and Trin, that it pushed him to his breaking point. I really wish they'd gone into a little more detail surrounding that moment though.. I guess we'll never really know for sure unless we get a S2 and they decide to explain/talk about it.
This series was phenomenal!! Some of the darker moments were hard to watch, but regardless this series was amazing!! While I saw the twist at the end coming, I still loved it. As much as I wanted Dan to come back, I also love that this didnt have that 'everyone lives happily ever after' ending. The way this ended really fit the vibe of the show. I'm so sad about Brother Anurak though 😭 I'll be honest, I really disliked his character through almost the whole series and was very suspicious of him. I thought that he had a big hand in everything that was going on and didnt trust him. When it got to the reveal of what really happened to those students.. That freaking broke my heart. I was crying right along with him and then felt bad that I'd misjudged his character. I was a little confused about why he killed himself though. Was that part of the ritual [or whatever he was doing with the candles], or was that from the guilt he still felt for what happened to the students? The other twist at the very end after credit scene, when you find out his dad did the Forrest Spirit's ritual for a child and thats why its attached to Dan.. such a great reveal! I'm hoping and pray we get a S2 now, so that we can find out what happened to Dan and if he can get his body back. I know some people were speculating whether this means Dan is dead and I personally don't think so. I think he's still trapped in the Shadow Realm.
Idk, Way comes off sort of selfish to me. I feel like he’s okay if Babe is just using guys for sex but the moment…
Yeah I've never read the novel either, but here is the spoiler I got from ilovecats0829 when I asked them about Way if you'd like to read it. It does also give some spoilers on Charlie's motives as well though, just fair warning. As I kinda said in my previous comment though, I wouldn't put too much stock in the spoilers because the original poster said that the series already has changed a lot compared to the novel.
"So in the novel Way is an enigma sent by Babe’s adoptive father (also Way’s adoptive father) to impregnate him to and have powerful babies. Way has manipulative powers and he uses them on Babe. But he actually does not want to have Babe if it’s manipulated completely, so that’s why he has spent so much time waiting in a one sided love. Way does love Babe in his own way, but he kinda forces his feelings on him. And one night after Babe says that he does not see him as anything more than a friend, Way hypnotizes him and tries to force himself on him. Charlie saves Babe. In the novel you can see that even though Charlie also lies (and it’s wrong), he does it to save Babe from his adoptive father and so that Babe can live life like he wants to without worrying about his father. Whereas Way wants to change Babe to live the way that he wants to, and have children with him (something that Babe has been very clear he never wants).
But I do think there’s going to be major changes in Ways character because in the novel there’s no WayPete. I think in the series he might not be so villain. But that’s just my theory."
This novel honestly sounds really interesting, I really want to find the english translation.
I really liked this series when I first started watching it, but it's gone downhill a little bit because it's dragging things out somewhat and there are certain choices I don't completely understand. Also the editing this episode was not the best, it felt kind of all over the place. For example, while I enjoyed Mike and Jack's moment in the shower [🔥🔥] it just kind of felt kind of random.. There was no real build to that scene happening, it just was there and then gone.. I know they set up last episode that Jack has started to have some kind of feelings for Mike, but that scene came right after them all ganging up on Zee so it kind of, like I said, just felt a little random. I'm also surprised at how little screen time and relationship progression we've got with the main couple. And I mean scenes with just them two, not them and the whole group doing volleyball. We honestly haven't really gotten a lot of them and the ones we have gotten there is no tension, just anger and hatred. Which I get, it wouldn't happen overnight there has to be some sort of build to it, but I guess I just kind of expected SOMETHING to be happening by now since we're like halfway through the series almost. I mean I guess we did get that accidental kiss... It looks like next episode it'll pick up and we will be getting that though so yay! Despite my complaints and me saying it's gone a little downhill, I am still loving this series [except for Zee and the mom, they both annoy the hell out of me 🙄] and I'm interested to see how it'll finish!
Idk, Way comes off sort of selfish to me. I feel like he’s okay if Babe is just using guys for sex but the moment…
Oh, I agree to all of this. Way is super selfish and a master manipulator. That is why I said he annoyed me this episode, or better words would be pissed me off. What he said to Babe was so messed up and 100% just to get in his head and reel him back in. Thats why I said him saying Babe should go back to the way he was makes it seem like the changes in him are negative or bad when they definitely arent. Mostly what I meant by my post is that I can see both sides. We are only 3 episodes in and we havent gotten anyone's history yet aside from Babe's. Yes, Way's actions are definitely fueled by selfishness and jealousy, but I can also see the best friend protection in him as well. Yes, he is in love with Babe and the brozone definitely negatively affects his emotions, but based on what we've seen so far I can still see a guy who cares about his best friend. I can definitely see why a lot of people, myself included, can see his actions as just someone who's selfish and jealous and wants his best friend for himself. At the same time though, he knows that Babe is a special Alpha and that people want to use him. I do think his cautiousness about Charlie is probably mostly due to his jealousy that Babe has gotten attached to him, but he hasn't done anything major in the series yet for me to not think that his or Babe's history could be part of his motivations. I'm trying not to put too much power behind novel spoilers I've read because I know novel to series usually changes a lot, but I will say a novel spoiler I read does make me a little more wary of Way now though.
Same, I think Pooh is doing a great job! I completely agree. I am loving Nut's acting as Way so far, but I cant…
Thank you so much for taking the time to explain all that! Wow.. I didnt expect that! It'll definitely be interesting to see what direction they take this in the series and if they'll still keep him a villain. I imagine if it's official that he's paired with someone in the series that he's not going to be completely, or maybe at all, villanized. The novel sounds really interesting though, I may have to see if I can find an english translation.
This series is quickly soaring to the top of my favorite series airing list right now! Sea and Jimmy are both doing phenomenal jobs and it's beyond amazing so far 🥰
I'm seriously loving this series so far! I'm still so curious about what Charlie's motives are and if he has real feelings for Babe yet or if its still all an act.. I felt so bad for Babe this episode though 🥺 He was finally opening up and getting close to someone only to find out they are hiding something from him and could just be using him.. Way definitely didnt help matters. I appreciate the protective best friend side of him who knows Charlie is hiding something and wants to save Babe from that, but he still annoyed me this episode though. Telling Babe to go back to the way he was, when he's clearly happier now, is messed up. I get telling him to be cautious about Charlie and not be so trusting so fast, but he didn't have to word it that way. It makes it seem like the way Babe is now is bad or negative and that's the part that irritated me. Getting too trusting too fast is definitely a negative, but him opening up to someone and falling for someone is not and with Way saying what he did that's how it comes across. I don't know what happened in their past or why Way is like he is, but I really hope him saying all of that wasn't motivation from his jealousy and feelings for Babe. I feel like a minority here, but I do really like his character. Setting his feelings for Babe aside, he is a very good and protective best friend. I 100% don't fault him for being cautious of people especially given the fact that Babe is a special kind of Alpha and he knows people are ready to use him. I just really hope we get some sort of backstory for them soon that explains why Way said those things and is so untrusting. And I'm hoping and praying he doesn't become some sort of villain character like people keep saying/guessing.
I'd like to slap the smugness outta Winner's face and probably knock off some of his teeth while I'm at it 😡..…
Right! When that happened I was like 'You aren't even the one that beat him, calm the fuck down.' Honestly, how lame do you have to be to brag about winning to a man who's beat you every time you have raced/challenged him, when your new teammate is the one who beat him instead of you 😒 100% agree! No ship for Winner, nobody deserves to be stuck with him 😑

Honestly, how lame do you have to be to brag about winning to a man who's beat you every time you have raced/challenged him, when your new teammate is the one who beat him instead of you 😒
100% agree! No ship for Winner, nobody deserves to be stuck with him 😑
