for xu yan she probably feels like her world is shattered after finding out hao ming's lies because from the very first ep we get told that she loves hims and how he was the first person to chose her with an unwavering determination. due to her upbringing, she never experienced what is like to be acknowledged and favoured, and hao ming gave her that(even if it's fake).
the recent episodes are such a slap to the face, originally i was dead set on believing(maybe brainwashing myself) that hao ming does have some feelings for xu yan, he is just in denial. but gosh, the tension and unease in the recent eps, im rethinking to the point that even if the next episodes verbally say that he loves her i'll still not believe it.
From what he did in episode 13 he should be begging until no dignity left then maybe he can makeup for cheating…
i don't think he cheated though, he just didn't maintian good distance from other females. but i agree with you, he needs to be on his hands and knees after what he did

ohhh that makes so much sense, thanks this is like how hao ming dealt with zhou ze yuan and lin tao(when xu yan saw fang lei with the guy, hao ming casually pretending it was all just a coincidence like how he got rid of the other two). he plants people around to keep an eye on those that might threaten him

i feel like they forced in the romance line in this drama because they just had to have one 😅. even though they have so much chemistry(i enjoyed it), i was too busy guessing the plot twists to engage with their romantic developments hahah

ikr! there are so many plot twists in this drama, it just keeps going, not a single scene gets boring because there is always hints to what is going to happen next. even though the marquis directly killed zang hai's family, i too didn't like how he died, i still believe he had some genuine kindness during his interactions with zang hai, but it's all so ambiguous.
