Sunshineeeeeee

I never thought this was amazing from the beginning, but it ok and went downhill for me.

I think the plot had potential at the beginning and the dynamic between the leads was good. After all, the plot could have been better.

Some thoughts:
- I felt nothing at the drama ending. We needed more also for the after, we could have seen the leads. Like wasn’t it all flashbacks the scenes we saw of them ? What’s the point. Also wasted time on the sister and SML, who cares.
- Lack of romance. I wouldn’t have mind maybe if the rest of the plot was more interesting and hooking me, but it wasn’t the case. We got like nothing after they got married and it’s disappointing to not have more since watching them together was enjoyable.
- A part of the plot that really left a bad taste in my mouth was FL breaking up with ML and her deciding to marry the SML. This felt weird and trying to force a separation. I couldn’t really enjoy their wedding.
After that, it started to went more downhill for me. Another drama where at some point I felt like ML loves more than the FL. We get a lot these days more like unequal romance in my opinion, like we’ll have the ML falling first and harder, willing to do anything for the FL vs a more distant or indifferent FL for a while. FL who abandon ML pretty easily, doesn’t fight for their relationship. I need more equal romance, it’s rarer these days.
- Acting : some side characters gave more memorable performance. Xu Kai was fine, but I was not impressed with Zhou Ye, not her best role.
- I think costumes and setting were ok
- I’ll say it, but ML was a more interesting character, he should have had more focus

So, now I feel like a wasted a bit my time, I choose to watch this drama while I have so many other on my September watchlist… I would have probably still gave it maybe a 7 (I am not good at rating, feel like I always give too high 😅), but with the ending (last 5 eps), I am lowering my rating to 6,5
