Tbh i'm also struggling to see the appeal, I was more than halfway through and was goin to pick it up again after Christmas but I have no idea which ep I even left off at, thats how unmemorable the drama is for me 🫤. I personally don't feel the chemistry that people are raving about, LYX has always been lacking for me in the emotions department and unfortunately this drama is no different.

I think their unique dynamic is what makes me enjoy the novel so much, its not often that we get a dominant FL and a submissive ML, its refreshing to see a reverse in roles where FL is uninhibited and so shameless with her desires lol

Did you watch TXW in Moonlit reunion? her aura is amazing and its definitely not a cutesy role

I wouldn't read too much on one person's opinion when the drama hasn't even released yet. This person's review sounds like it applies to majority of Cdrama this year

Based on the trailers and reuters it looks like their relationship develops much sooner whereas in the novel they don't become affectionate until after they reunite at camp so there will be differences for sure but I wouldn't worry about it. I'm confident TXW and ZLH will bring our Changyu and Xie Zheng to life.

They don't end up together in the novel. Wen Ji fell in love with Chun hua when she was still the princess's personal maid. Chun hua ends up getting pregnant by one of the prince' and forced to marry him, while Wen Ji after an incident becomes a eunuch and eventually turns evil

Tbh it was kinda boring, the leads don't get together until half way through the novel and FL just doesn't seem like she's very in love with the ML, the conflict is not overly exciting that's why I'm glad the drama does not follow the novel, the drama synopsis sounds way more intriguing

So I finished reading the novel and I'm so confused cause the story does not match with the synopsis for the drama one bit. The drama sounds much more exciting than the novel tbh, is the production team only using the names of the character and changing the entire plot?

It doesn't even look like they posed together, its like they cut and paste them on a poster

Everytime I thought I've watched this enough times, a random reel or reuter of this would pop up and then I have a sudden urge to watch it all over again 😅

FL is actually very glamorous and over the top in the novel, she's a proud princess and likes to air out her nobility lol

I'm praying that ZLH and TXW will be doing promo work together for this drama cause its killing me to see them at the same events lately but zero interaction, its like they're total strangers. I know there was a bit of discourse with their fan base over the billing but can we have them reunited please 😢

There are tons of iconic lines in the novel, Xie Zheng's desperation for Changyu's love is so heart wrenching . I wish they kept all the iconic dialogue from the novel

I understand its your opinion but why not give the leads a chance and wait till the drama is out before deciding whether you are sold or not? You're not sold on the leads but seems to encourage unconditional support for Kang Le even before watching his performance... i'm LYR fan and I personally think he'll be fantastic in the role but I'm not questioning anyone else's ability to perform their respective roles.
