Don’t come at me lol. IMO, this is the first time XY is being a girl, acting like a girl, liking someone who actually likes her back, giving her gifts, missing her, etc.. Just being boyfriend/girlfriend. Ofc she as to throw some tantrum and him being his awkward self becomes embarrassed. This is also Jing first time liking someone that deeply because she doesn’t care about his scars or his position in life. He is also hesitating because he thinks she liking him back it’s because of pity. Him not losing his temper, for me, is because “happy wife, happy life” 🤣 He can’t confront her because everywhere he goes she goes🐍Also don’t forget he still has a vile, manipulative fiancée in his life that he cannot get ride of😡
For me the drama, Jing is more flesh out. I enjoy him here more than the novel. The novel he was a tad flat😂🤭

You should really read the novel. It’s from Xiao Yao’s POV, how she navigate her life. Even though the drama is almost the same as the novel, some of the important conversations were left out. I do like Jing drama version more than the novel.
