This is mostly serious but when the funny scenes shows up it hits differently…I was laughing out loud. Wei Duang…er no, I mean Wei Liang. Xiao Tao and him…hahaha. Good to see Chin Shih Chieh is this kind of role after playing so many cruel villain roles. That slap was well-deserved. That wedding…hella somber. The drama did deviate from the novel but the essence is still there. So happy it landed today after so many hiccups. Just give us the same ending as the novel.🙏🏼
The Prisoner of Beauty will be out in a couple of hours. TDHR finished airing a few weeks ago. Seems like smooth sailing from now on. Only dramas offered to her will cement her 100% comeback. 🤗

I completely agree on the final case. It’s hard to digest. The only real life case that I know happened was the first with the bullying and su*cide a few years ago. For me, the last case was akin to the US gymnastics a^buse scandal of minors where a trusted adult did those things. I watched the film “Silenced” and it’s graphic and descriptive. Yes don’t watch it if you’re not up to it. It stayed with me for a long time after. Another movie, if you’re interested that is also based on real life is “The silent forest”. It happened in a special education school in Taiwan. Exceptionally well produced but watched with caution and care. Not for the faint of heart, lol.
China is indeed large and quite conservative and people don’t report rape because of the social stigma associated with it. I am pleasantly glad to have watched this because it’s not a traffic idol drama and without traffic stars. The casts did a fine job especially the children.

I have reported several “suspected” incidents and my administration had always had by back. We always also have to have yearly training on how to go about documenting and reporting. I rather be incorrect and let child protective services handle it than it being true and pretend I don’t see it. I hope that incident doesn’t sour the law for you.

I like Prosecutor Lin. She is aware of her strengths and shortcomings but I wish she would utilize Bai En Yu’s astute and savviness in dealing with juvenile. I speak Cantonese but understand Mandarin. Ren Su Xin, Liu Lin and Gao Wei Guang definitely uses their own voice. The line delivery is on point and I don’t need subtitles to understand them. I only had trouble understanding some of GWG’s lines because he has an accent. I think the voice actors are for the supporting roles.

Everyone in the drama uses their own voice. I just always equate Gao Wei Guang’s voice as Dong Hua’s from Eternal Love of dream( voice actor, Zhang Jie). So it’s quite jarring to hear his actual voice, lol
