Agreed it’s one of a better executed cdrama. It is such an endearing and engaging story. I was never bored.

Xiao Wa’s essay/POV is so melancholy but still full of hope. He is able to pick himself up coming from such a background and make life-long friendships. “In the end we are still the same kind of people”.🥹

For me, this is surprisingly an easy watch. Like the poster above me said it’s a family/youth drama that involved a lot of talking but the pacing is fast.

Can’t wait for tomorrow!!! We have only 10 more episodes!! This adventurous youth drama has a hold on me and after this I will be FULL.

Episode 18~Road to school.
Now we know Xiao Wa’s POV. Getting to school has not been an easy path for him but to see him appreciate and enjoy it brings me such joy. When he finally smiles, I, too grin like a fool 😭😢. His story really uplifts one’s soul but at the same time depressing. No wonder he always comes to school looking so dejected. Thank goodness there are people like Miao Miao who reached out and showed kindness.
Here is my favourite quote from Atticus Finch: “You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view…until you climb into his skin and walk around it.” I think this is the first time Miao Miao learned empathy.

I just love the dad and mom. The dad is calm and reasonable whereas the mom is loud, chaotic, impatient. The dad centers her, really the opposite of each other but ultimately they are good people who love their children. I enjoyed the talk between the dad and Miao Miao. Also the family meeting always cracks me up…the mom🥱🥴😭 and puppy love, lol.

Li Si running away from home to his usual spot under the bridge is NOT running away from home…Muahahaha.I have a neighbor, who was 6 at that time decided to run away from home. After a frantic search from his furious dad, we told him he ran away to his “usual spot”, which was only a few streets away. Ahh! Our youth so much ups and downs.

There is nobody like Cheng YaYa!!! This boy is the BEST. The way he stood up to his classmates😭. The last few episodes has my heart. I was laughing and crying at the same time. Poor YSQ. Life really dealt her unfairly. I know her dad is not going to let it go and trouble will be coming. But i know Ya Ya will be there for her.

Interesting subject to tackle. This is the second time to see drama that depicts the people who clean up after an horrific incident.

This is such endearing family entertainment. Why is no one watching? I was laughing and crying at the same time. There is teacher Gao, Director Fang, the uncle Bao Fang…acting is top-tier. Great to see Tian Yu after JOL.
After a week Xiao Wa is still not wearing his uniform or gotten his hair cut, lol. CMM wants to be class monitor but backfired, lol. Poor QM! Haha Li Si’s mom is something else…

Many veterans actors and actresses here. I hope that CMM will be friends with YSQ. If she wants to be helpful to Xiao Wa, she should also extend a hand to that girl. Poor thing! It’s only episode 6.
