I have tried watching this drama numerous times but can’t get passed the first episode (not a fan of sageuk genre). But decided to pushed forward because I like Kim Hye Soo. I heard many wonderful things about it🙂and it didn’t disappoint. I have to say Wow to her phenomenal acting. Under the queen’s umbrella is really has such weighty meaning. I never felt exploited or manipulated when watching her run around the palace protecting her grand Princes whereas the villains are showing their fangs trying to vied for the top position due to their covetousness, greed, selfishness etc.
Wow the Tang dynasty styling is just chef’s kiss…Yang Zi🥰. The photos are perfection. Even Li Xian! I was doubting how the stylist can style authentic Tang but now the anticipation for this drama is through the roof. Seated and waiting patiently for the poster and trailer 🤞🏼
HT has been groomed as the son of wealthy family who will inherit the family business, plus he lost his parents…
LOL! That is so true. It is definitely not normal for most Chinese culture. I had it said to my face by my aunts, uncles and grandparents but never by my western friends. This made me chuckle.🤭
