I’m continuing this drama, and I’m starting to enjoy it more and more. Once I’m really into the story, it gets better. However, I’ve noticed that I prefer the “Wuxia” style over “Xianxia,” which I enjoy less because it’s much more complex to understand.
I really just can’t get into it. I’m up to date, but I just can’t manage—it’s my first drama with Chen Feiyu, and I’m having such a hard time with it. I’ve got nothing against him though, just to be clear.
Chae Jong Hyeop seems to have aged a little here—not in a negative way—but I think it’s mainly due to weight loss. His face isn’t as full as before, and the makeup doesn’t really help; sometimes it looks quite heavy, especially in close-up shots. I don’t know, but throughout the drama, he looked really tired to me, despite his incredible smile that makes him so charming. It even made me feel like he might have gone through a phase of depression. Wishing him strength—he’s an actor I truly love and find incredibly talented.
Edit: I just learned that Chae Jong‑hyeop has been suffering from epilepsy since he was 20; he was diagnosed while living in South Africa. I didn’t even know about this—sending him huge support 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
It’s just so boring to watch without doing something else at the same time. I feel like I’m watching the same episodes on repeat. The ML and FL act really well, especially Jin Young, who’s excellent at expressing sadness with his crying scenes, and Min Ju does a decent job too. But the SML is honestly painful to watch, his acting is just awful. Also, it feels like not many actors really get enough screen time here.
The drama itself is really boring, and I called it from the start—just based on that whole “10-year separation” plot, which we keep seeing over and over again in K-dramas. For me, it’s a 5–6/10 at best, nothing more.
Cha Jong Hyeop is excellent in this role, but I really don’t find Lee Sung Kyung that great. I’ve never really liked her acting—I prefer Han Ji Hyeon’s.
I think we're in for a time skip here that magically ties up all the loose ends. I hope this ends at Ha Yeong's…
I 100% agree with you. We’re definitely going to get a time jump—I can really see it happening about 20 minutes before the end. As for the wedding, there could be one, but I don’t know… the tone of this drama doesn’t really feel like it would end with a wedding scene. And if there is a wedding, I think it would either be the grandmother (Kim Nana) or Ha Yeong—I can clearly picture that too.
We’ll probably also see Yu Gyeom having come to terms with the end of his baseball career, being with Ha Dam, and all the other couples together.
Honestly, I can’t believe this is Cha Yu Gyeom’s first K-drama—the actor is really good for a debut. He performs the scenes really well and conveys emotions perfectly.
This drama could easily have had 14 episodes, maybe even 16 with all the couples we have. I feel like these 12 episodes went by way too fast, and we spent way too much time focusing on the accident. The accident should have been wrapped up by episode 10, and the last two episodes should’ve been about the couples actually being together.
That said, I really love the couple of Yu Gyeom and Ha Dam—but let’s be honest, we all know we’re never getting a kiss between them. I’m guessing it’ll be the same for Ha Yeong and Tae Seok too.
Really? Romance does not equal lust or sex though. It would be nice to have more sweet moments of them.🥺
I’m not talking about sexual moments—on the contrary, I hate that in K-dramas. I mean there aren’t many cute scenes between them, or even kissing moments. I’d at least like one final kiss.
Fuck, these last two episodes are hard to watch. We’ve really entered a violent phase. I’m so scared of a K-trauma ending—I really hope not. Honestly, I love this drama.
I might be intellectually challenged because I watched two episodes and I literally don’t understand anything at all. It’s the first time I’ve seen a C-drama where the two main characters meet in the very first minute of episode 1.
The Queen, the fairy Huang Xiaoyun, is once again singing an OST for a C-drama. My queen never stops and never disappoints—I can’t wait to listen to it.
