Very entertaining and enjoyable show
I loved the anime of The Prince of Tennis so when I saw this on my Netflix feed I was all in. This was so entertaining and I loved everything about the story, the characters and the tennis!! The casting choices were perfect. What I love most about the show is the male friendships and the camaraderie of it. I also loved that even though the teams were rivals there were really all respectful of each other. What I dislike about the show is all the flashback scenes in almost every episode to the extent that t was just too much filler.
Episodes 33, and #37-40 were my favorites; 33 is Siyang's match with Ji Jingwu and I was here for it!!! so exciting. Also, Ji Jingwu being all concerned was so adorable. I was here for the bromance as well and would watch a show with just those two!! Loved Zhou Zhi's match and of course Lu Xia's final match.
Of all the episodes Episode 37 is one of the reasons I truly love this show. The scene when most of the tennis teams go to the all you can eat barbecue is spectacular and one of the funniest things I have seen in a long time. It was so funny and all the people who didn't want to sit next to each other had me in stitches!
This show was so good and repeat watches are in order!!

Simple & Sweet
I enjoyed this. Just sweet and simple and no drama. I liked the cast a lot as well. I thought Matsumotu Jun was great as Dr. Tokushige and I found him to be a calming presence. The show it nothing new and the main conflict is hospital buracracy and cutting departments that don't make money. None of which matter to me but is quite sad that hospitals value profits over human lives.I liked that each episode tackled a different ailment and personal circumstance and how the General Medicine Department helped to facilitate a better care routine and choice for patients.
The standout episode for me was episode 6. I bawled my eyes out this ep. End of life care is no doubt tough! The actor playing Tatsu was great and he helped the actress playing Dr. Tokino shine here.

Ugh!! Incompetent
Another half-baked show I completed this week.An incompetent, pointless plot. Why the hell did the series have to revolve around Je I's insane father??? I was more interested in a true friendly rivalry between the girls. All the girls really. I thought the series started off strong and the acting from the main cast was great but the series got bogged down in too many unnecessary plots to destroy Je I's father. Plots to sell drugs. Plots to one up some one. Plots to figure out why Seul Gi's father was killed. Plots to be the number 1 student. FFS enough will all these useless plots. Terrible parents and horrible students. What a waste.
The only plus of the series is the acting from the 4 main leads.

Terrible
*****IF YOU DO NOT LIKE SPOILERS KEEP IT MOVING******Absolutely, one of the worst police procedural dramas I have ever seen. I mean, I can suspend belief with the best but this poorly written, way over the top series was too much to bear! I had to give this rating a 1 star. Not even the cast was enough to make me change my rating. What should have been a stellar series is bogged down by way too many serial killers, way too many corrupt cops, way too many innocent people dying b/c the police are corrupt and/or too incompetent to do the job, way too many instances of Soo Young, the FL figuring out stuff after the fact.
They tried to make the 2nd FL a Billy badass type but the minute she's facing the killer she can't even shoot her gun, and yes, I get PTSD but she could shoot and miss FFS! There's a scene where she and Oh Hyun Jae, the ML are fighting THAT GUY and another killer comes in behind him and instead of yelling as soon as the guy walks in she scream after the killer is behind him and hits him in the damn head with a fire extinguisher. She gets stabbed and almost dies and I was pissed she didn't die. I'm holding a grudge b/c she is the reason Detective Yang died!!
What a waste of 16 hours. On to much better things I hope.

Ugh!
This show is not that great. I do like the Van and Mi-Ho characters but the Johan character is annoying AF. I get that he's supposed to be the cool, hip, young, unorthodox priest but his antics are annoying and childish for a person in his position. His charcater did show some grace in the last episode though. This was 6 episodes that barely made any sense and the CGI is terrrible to boot! I did like the tree monster scenes though, that was actually really well done.I hate that they split this series into 2 parts b/c it makes no sense. It doesn't even build up to a decent 1st half of a series either. Eveything was disjointed and all we got was some flashbacks, a monster of the week type villian each ep and some so called prophecy that will be the main point of the rest of the show I guess. I will watch the 2nd half though hopefully it's better!

Hot Damn!
The premise is nothing new; Vigilante taking justice into his own hands but it's a really good series. The 1st episode of this drama is probably the best episode I have seen of a Korean drama this year!! It was just so good from opening scene until the last. Taking names and kicking asses and I was here for it. Every episode was really good and kept the same intensity. I wanted Ji Yong to make them all pay!! I haven't wanted a bunch of people beat up badly in a long time. I have never watched a show with Nam Joo Hyuk, the ML but he was fantastic. So good! I really liked Lee Joon Hyuk he was great as Gangok. Shin Jung Keun as Mr. Bang was excellent as well.
There were some really good scenes and in episode 5 this was one of my favorites. I LMAO during the scene with Cho Heon and that low level criminal in the car. The criminal asked where are we going and Cho Heon said to his last address and he said you can drop me off here and I'll wait for a cab. That shit was hilarious.
This is a quick, bingeable, very enjoyable watch.

Falters in the Last few Episodes
I was super excited about this series. I came for Ma Dong Suk b/c who wouldn't and he was great here, even thogh his character Woong Cheol was annoying. I also loved Jo Dong Hyuk as Tae Soo. He was fantastic and overall, my favorite character. The Jung Moon character was supposed to be a genius but was constantly being bested by everyone and getting beat up and nearly killed in every epsiode; however, his character is truly sympathetic. Goo Tak, the main character, anti-hero who the audience is supposed to root for was an idiotic mess and so unlikeable. He got on my last nerve.
Unfortunately, this show went from excellent to nonsensical in a matter of the last few episodes; the writing went from pretty entertaining to completely illogical. Starting in epsiode 8, for some inexplicable reason, the characters are, unlike their prior selves, with stupid actions and reactions to information. Made no damn sense.
The last episode was a little better that the last few but I simply stopped caring. Also, wished the fight with Tae Su and Moon Ki had been filmed slower. The choreography was actually pretty good but the action was moving too fast for me to truely enjoy it.

Overall a sweet movie to watch for a Saturday or Sunday matinee. Nothing special but I did like the cast and characters. PSJ was really good as Hong Dae. I really liked the relationship between Hyo Bong and his daughter Eun Hye and how they showed that just b/c he was homeless he loved his daughter and wasn't a deadbeat and she loved him too.
I liked how it was about redemption for some of the team members and wanting to belong for some of the other team members. That's what sports do. They bring people together. Especially, big sporting, international team events. It's the collective rooting for the home team or the underdogs that we all really love.

Too Repetative
As per usual, I wanted to loved this series and the idea of not using the police to help retrieve your kidnapped child. I mean what would you do if your child has been kidnapped? How desperate would any us us become to get our child back? The 1st episode was really interesting but as each episode went along the show was just too ridiculous and boring. For me however, the biggest set back for this series is the ML. Actor, Ninomiya Kazunari, can't act to save his life. It was nice seeing Tamaki Hiroshi as the lead detective but even he couldn't save this series. I will say the episodes got better towards the end but this could have been a limited series of 5 episodes. 10 episode led to too many repetative scenes and the same plot devices.
Actor, Hamada Gaku, was great. His portrayal of a desperate father and ex cop was very believable and heartbreaking once all the history was revealed.

I started watching this series over a year ago and stopped at episode 8 back in April of last year. Maybe I was bored. Too much was going on plotwise and honestly they really didn't explain the family dynamics to my liking. However, I have a goal of finishing the shows in my currently watching list. I started rewatching and the show actually is better in the 2nd half. I usually don't say that. Most shows go down hill but this one picked up and became more interesting each episode. The 2 best things about the show are that the cast is phenomenal and there are some genuinely funny, full on, laugh out loud moments. Shin Hye Sun and Cha Chung Hwa are pure comedy gold. Choi Jin Hyuk's voice was perfection. It's a good series to watch at least once.
I am shouting out epsiode 10. This epsiode was LOL funny. First when the Queen rolled out of the bed at the beginning when she was about to touch the King's nose and 2nd when Lady Choi smacked the Chef on the lips, I about hit the floor. That whole scene in the bamboo forest was hysterical.

One of the Worst Jdramas I have ever watched
This show is bad. This is another terrible Jdrama from 2018 that lacks in everything. Cleary this show was not made for me. I was looking for a light fun romcom and it was the pits!! FL is quite annoying and childish. I hate this combination in a main character. I hated her face too when she was thinking. It was driving me nuts.I also really can't understand why she was so obsessed with ML. Every character was nonsensical in their actions. I was dumbfounded by 2 things that happened in the last episode. First thing is one of the couples that end up together makes no sense. The other thing is the FL gets a horrific text alert and I don't think it was necessary. It was quite dumb and not romantic at all.
The only good thing I can say about the series is that eps are short and it's a quick watch.

I was expecting something totally different than what I watched. This show is terribly boring and dumb. FL was another super annoying character that I really couldn't root for. The 2 FL/villain was more interesting but ultimately she was the typical antagonist to the FL. I did like the supporting cast and many of the girls and their butlers made quite the pair. Mameshibe was the only character I actually cared about and wanted to see. The good news is that this is a 10 episode series and not a lot of time was wasted on it.
There were some genuinely funny scenes, especially in episode 8 at the beginning and at the neighbors house when all the girls went to FL's small town. I also, really liked episode 5 b/c one of the characters got a chance to be a little girl and not some robot for the government.

Another Miniseries leaving me wanting more
I really should not watch anymore of these short miniseries/adverts. I always want something more. I really wanted the backstory of each of the 3 main FL. We get a little glimpse of it but would have been good to have an episode dedicated to each sister and possibly show how they became vampires and then ultimately sisters. That being said, someone mentioned this was an advert for the clothes in the series, so it was never going to deep dive like that. I only wish now someone would create a full-on series out of it and give me the back story that I want and need!!
The positives though are that the cast is great. I mean everyone. I don't know any of the actors, but they all played their parts very well. The clothes were great as well. And they should be since this was essentially and advert for the clothes.

Interesting but not fulfilling
This was my first Japanese fantasy series, and the description was very interesting. Demons, swords and fighting. I was here for it.The short episodes were nice but after watching I feel like this could have been ten 1-hour long episodes and that way we would have gotten more backstory of the blade, the ultimate villain and the history of the priest, the Sword Collector and the history of Sho and his family. Everything felt rushed to get to the end. The female reporter was annoying, but she became useful in the end, and I started to like her a bit.
I still overall enjoyed the series though and it was a good ending per se at least the last fight scene with Godo Shin and Kakeru. I just wish more things would have been explained. Honestly, I may have missed somethings in translation.
The lead actor, Saotome Taichi was great, and the supporting cast was awesome.

RM and his different interpretations of the word Ugh... was so good. Tae was so damn cool opening the bottle. That really was an awesome trick, but I was dead when RM said he was unable to remain cool. I loved when they were talking about their fits, but Jin is a trip b/c I would give Hobi a 10 b/c I like when he wears the slim look and honestly, they all looked good, and I like that they all have a different style they like to rock. Tae telling the story of Suga's long text and Suga being embarrassed was so sweet and the other's feeling jealous b/c of the text was adorable. RM really is a great leader. I love that they have each other and their families to keep them humble. I loved that Suga said that what you see is the real them, and I believe it.
They are such clowns I swear. The friendship, the family, the love. I live for it all. It's really what made me become a fan. So, when I watch these shows and I get a little glimpse into them. I feel so happy.
