It was shocking, perfect and fitting. I didn't expect it at all. This show... idk what to think bc...
Exactly... very well said! I know TSJ is suppose to be kind, forgiving, loving, and smart... I get that. Like you, i was not convinced and I think it was DW's acting afterall b/c all of his kind, loving expressions are the same "deer in the headlights" look. You clearly articulated why I was feeling annoyed with his character and how couldn't get into it.
The companionship has been surreal. Everyone has been such great support backbones when the storyline got messy…
Agreed... Understanding the drama and storyline was a team effort, especially for those who hadn't read the novel or script π. So appreciated all the opinions and interpretations of the scenes and that helped me progress from one episode to the next. People are so nice in this community.
Immortal Samara doesn't have a HE those epilogues don't even make sense.
LOL... you are voting for ZLY and LYX? Woah! I'll have to think about that one... they haven't been in a drama together if I recall... Anyways, ZLY only does role where the FL is the main attraction, so interesting to see if LYX would do it if the ML is not center of attention. Regarding Legend of Shen Li, I'm actually not thrilled with Kenny Lin as the ML. We'll see how it goes.

Princess Agents, Chu Qiao is my favorite all time heroine.... I know the ending of the drama was sad, but the book filled in the holes that were at the end. And, in the novel, you get a lot of her thought process, aspirations, and vision for the world. The book has a HE. I could have shipped her with either Yu Wen Yue or Yan Xun (but he was much darker in the novel).
What the hell?! π Usually when starting new xianxia I am full of anxiety, because they usually fu*k up halfway…
Yeah, this story is complex and not easy to create. It would be a challenge for a writer to keep the storylines and characters separate and then linked where it makes sense for the story and plot to unfold in an interesting and compelling way to keep the audience engaged.
the director, script writers, production team should have done a better job sharing LSS's thought process with…
Yup, I agree. The thing is when TTJ becomes DG, DG's soul/spirit takes over and is uncontrollable. The new entity is no longer TTJ but DG out to destroy the world. She can't take that chance b/c she experienced DG in ep 1, so how can she fully trust him even though he is sweet to her now. He will do a 180 once he integrates with DG. Sorry, but I would act with severe caution like her... The audience gets to see all the characters and has more information and context, whereas LSS only has limited info. (imho)
Why do many people criticize LSS so harshly for pursuing her mission to prevent the new DG's birth? It's not a…
the director, script writers, production team should have done a better job sharing LSS's thought process with the audience... without it her actions speak louder, leading to open interpretation and perhaps misunderstanding by us viewers.
Its pain management lol. Angst in CYJMs last episode and you jump into HX right after for some angst and comedy…
Yes, and someone in this thread also mentioned that YouKu wants TTEOTM watchers to migrate over to BFTB after the show finishes airing for another xianxia, so hence the timing...
That kiss in E39 was so π₯π₯π₯ so I made a short video for it. Hope some of you will enjoy it. https://youtube.com/shorts/B5ovS0rsUKE
Wow, you are so talented with editing... the producers of this show should have hired you πand we would have gotten way more kisses to indulge in π₯°
I think its quite possible considering Back from the Brink's air date has been moved up to May 9th. Either that…
distraction!? πyup, that would make a lot of sense... they know they won't be able to please everyone.. so here is a happy drama to lift the mood...
YouKu knows this and they will not let that happen... hence the extras (epilogues) after episode 40. They've invested…
Which is why it won't be a BE, because in addition to recovering their investment money and following the novel's intended ending (even though HE is in the epilogue), they will irritate novel readers if they deviate from the book's ending, the amount of angst experienced by the audience members for TTJ will cause RIOTS if the drama ended badly and deviated from book... and the mental anxiety inflicted on the young audience viewers will cause parents to complain (which may lead to them having to remove this drama - not what YouKu would want). This is an idol drama targeting a specific audience, specifically young viewers and who may have read the novel. This is not intended to be a drama masterpiece like say Nirvana in Fire for whatever ending may be justified based on the storyline/narrative. The producers and investors and marketing people know this and they are tracking the comments, the mood, the reaction.
I also feel the moral of the story is that bad/evil can become good, despite their birth/fate, and finally have happiness after learning and experiencing love.
