Well, if you're that intoxicated, you can't really actively participate in the act, right? SJ would then be the one doing all the work.. but if you watch the scene again, you will see that he's also proactively kissing her, etc... she just made him less inhibited with her spell so that he could do what he also wants to do, but was too hampered/restricted given the impending war with devil god and his own expected death during the war.
