it wasn't bad. I kinda did enjoy watching since I started it because I like food dramas, romance was secondary…
How did he end up in her time? it made 0 sense to me!
tbh it could've had a beautiful sad ending! but they had to make it a 'oh he came to her era. kind of happy ending... which felt very convenient for them to meet up like that.
it wasn't bad. I kinda did enjoy watching since I started it because I like food dramas, romance was secondary for me. the slow motion Chinese dialogues was a torture to listen to... the accents felt off too.
the only good thing about this drama is the outfits and the sets which are not that many.at some point they stopped…
took them 14 episodes to clear the misunderstanding! it's a bit too stretched out imo! way too choppy!
her grandfather was still alive btw!
fl is a joke... she didn't earn anything to be a general.. she was a teary eyed damsel in distress for the most part.. yet she became a general as same footing as ml in the end... they need medics on call cause ml needs to take arrows for her on the battlefield.
also let me emphesis on an important point in nordlisr's review that I strongly agree with. "fl vacillates between snot-crying in the face of adversity one minute, then haughtily condescending to her adversary the next gave me nausea-inducing emotional whiplash"
the only good thing about this drama is the outfits and the sets which are not that many. at some point they stopped changing clothes! this was a mess but I couldn't look away.. I only stayed because of ml. fl's acting wasn't bad but her character was such a joke.
I started watching this for Zhan Yu but I can't watch it any further... It's very boring and judging by the reviews and comments I don't think it's worth pushing through. dropped at ep2.
(I peaked through random episodes to see if I might change my mind, but nope. he appears in ep 3, he is okay in his role. the ending practically gave me a summary of his character story so I didn't miss anything.)
the narration of their story is as follows: A Wen was a gifted scholar (2fl was a guy in their past life) and Guan Xinrui (fl) were grown up alongside each other and they were in love. but to secure an alliance with Manbo Kingdom, xingrui was sent to marry their heir which was ml's past life.
I've started this because of Park Ki Woong, but I'm not sure if I can finish it... will their families ever change? they annoy me so much! fl's dad and ml's grandfather are in a close competition in whom I hate most! I usually don't get annoyed by whole family in these shows but this one has done it for me! well, except fl's grandma, I don't hate her.
I got fooled by the comments and reviews praising this drama... this is another cheap drama that might have worked for me if it was in the short format. the dubbing isn't good. Idk if it's the wig or the acting or the editing. I just can't get into this one. dropped.
I peaked at the last episode to see the ending.here is the ending spoiler:
the mother in law stays evil till the end. they could get back company shares or whatever fl wanted. fl will marry the other guy who had a crush on her.
It looks like a uni project... the acting is meh and unnatural most of the time. they are just reciting a bunch of lines with poker face! the quality of the audio isn't good either, it feels like they are talking in an empty salon!
it was interesting, but only up to the final... and I did not like the winner. he wasn't the best.
half way through the show I might have rooted for the Napoli Matfia guy but the moment he showed the sly fox that he was, I did not like him. he inserted himself in edward lee's kitchen with the agenda of being his translator and that guy was too nice to know what a fox he let by his side. his dish on the mission they were given about cooking something defining their journey and life, didn't fit and neither judge questioned that. he made an extravagant dish and they got swayed. except the one time that he did the desert with convenient store foods which was very impressive, the rest of what he did was just pasta and risotto. the tofu cook off was interesting. both triple star and chef lee deserved to be in finale. both had so many ideas and executed them very well. it's a shame triple star didn't win. but I'm sure he'll be thriving in his career in future. maybe he can open his own 3 Michelin star restaurant one day.
someone please tell me about the ending! why are so many mad at the ending in reviews?
