I concur. Right intent but definitely wrong approach. Uncle Jim is like the most stressed single parent in the BL world right now. He is traumatized by Beam’s family not accepting their relationship and of people constantly demoralizing him for being poor. Of course he doesn’t want his nephew to suffer but it is the wrong approach. Li Ming is smarter than his uncle and Heart is nothing like Beam.

It felt like a fanfiction written by high schoolers. They should’ve just made this into a beach side slice of life. I Told Sunset About You is a good example of that.

Yup. I also recognized the sloppiness of it being dragged out on the beach and then went from 0-100 back on the mainland like wtf? This plot should not have been placed on 2 high schoolers. They reached too high and it failed miserably. I don’t think the writers knew what they wanted. It was like the decided to list every “cool” thing they wanted from these characters and just shoved it in our faces with no real developments.

This whole episode was written by clowns. I actually enjoyed Chanon getting his ass kicked in prison.
