I'm trying to be optimistic that there has to be a reason. I hope there is; That won't excuse her poor comprehension…
True. I hope that someone will put the mother in place, its annoying that everyone ( even the father) just sits and says nothing when the mother is being mean. I hope she will get a wake up call soon...But if that happens it probably will not happen until the last episode or so xD
Omg the so called "mother" of Jin Ah is sooo annoying and shallow! Jin Ah sure has a HUGE patience,if I was her I would move out just to get away from that awful mom, it would drive me crazy and depressed for REAL if i kept living with a parent like that! What does the dad who is nice and all (nth like his wife), see in her?? Maybe there is some reason to why she is the way she is??
If the next twelve are as strong as the first four eps, anything less than a 9.0 would be a total insult. It's…
I fully agree. I love japanese romantic dramas from 90s ,I feel like the japanese has now forgotten to create nice love stories.. I can’t come up with any amazing romantic jdramas that is made after 2004. The romantic jdramas back in 90s/early 2000s were simple and realistic , yet so touching , beautiful .. with full of soul and heart. So I’m happy that korean dramas has now started to make romantic dramas with the same feel/atmosphere like the old japanese dramas (such as Something in the Rain) - with much higher quality/better cinematography which is a HUGE + ! So I’m in heaven now~
This is the kind of romance I like the most .. realistic and simple with fully fleshed out characters...full of emotion and depth. I don’t mind if its slow paced at times, I actually like it a lot… feels more realistic. This kind of korean drama was basically almost non existent just a while ago.. in the past almost all of them were unrealistic cinderella-like stories with full of cliches (super rich arrogant chaebol / poor innocent woman, evil future mother-in-law,amnesia etc )..
I’m thankful kdramas has now stepped up their game and finally realized that not everyone wants ALL the time cheesy, cliche cinderella like stories. Its great that kdramas now has become a lot more varied, with other genres than just romance… cuz not everyone is a fan of love stories. I guess they want to get even more people into k-dramas, one of the biggest reasons the dramas are now a lot more varied. I feel like korean dramas is only getting better and better (not just when it comes to higher quality / better cinematography, but also when it comes to more creative storylines, more well developed complex characters that are just not black or white.. etc).
High expectations because of the big budget AND that its by the producer who also produced the original MG from 2001. I’m happy MG is having a remake, because while the first season of the original is gold, the second season is terrible . . Hopefully the producer won’t do the same huge mistake again and go the same route as in S2 of the original.
My favorite is the japanese version (Hana Yori Dango), unlike in s2 of MG, the s2 of HYD is great.. and the ending of the s2 / the ending of the final movie is perfect. Lets see if MG 2018 will beat HYD.
Surprisingly I never watched Boys over flowers even though its crazy popular and the guys is even hotter in BOF than in MG/ HYD, but I have still no desire to watch it xD i believe I wouldn’t like it as much as the other versions, one of the reasons being is that I heard the female lead in BOF lacks the awesomeness and is very weak (meaning she is nothing like the awesome and strong female lead in MG / HYD.. Makino in HYD is personally one of my favorite female leads in asian drama).
After watching first episode I now finally understand why there is #MeToo...Being a working woman in Korea doesn’t seem easy, at least not in this drama. Anyway, very promising the first episode, liking it so far :)
