As a someone who follow Snowdrop news since 2020, i remember there was a post with Snowdrop script 20 episodes.…
I think you're right. There is a video someone took of them filming what they thought was the last scene, and Youngro and Sooho meet in the train station, hug, and walk off together. We didn't get to see that at all.
Is anyone else suddenly really curious about what parts of this were based on the notes of a political prisoner??…
The writer said the political prisoner, a woman, described her earlier life when she was a student in a university dorm, and that formed the inspiration for the story.
The newscast that plays while the politicians are led into prison says that the Aemin Party celebrated their win with the new president. It goes on to say people were questioning the new president's ties with Nam Tae Il, the previous secretary general of the Aemin Party. So the same party won. This would be in keeping with actual history, the ruling party remained in power after the 1987 elections.
I just finished Episode 16 and I thought I was going to hate the ending, but I really don't. The thing I do hate is that the writer seemed to decide beforehand that they were going to die and had the characters making all kinds of stupid decisions and doing unreasonable things--like standing around crying in the hallway instead of running, like normal people would do--to get to the foregone conclusion. They didn't even have a chance.
To the person who told me I was wrong when I said a couple of weeks ago I have a feeling soo ho dies, WELL I hate…
Yes people have pointed out that this writer likes to kill off her OTP -- Mr. Sunshine, Bridal Mask, etc.--just didn't want to believe she would be so predictable.
Epilogue: Sooho's sister disappeared soon after his death. Her whereabouts are unknown. Youngro graduated with a degree in international relations. She was instrumental in establishing the Hanawon centers for North Korean defectors and still works there today.
I might be in the minority or i might be not...I understand that the history behind snowdrop is controversial,…
I couldn't agree more. All we're asking for is a story that will grip our attention and move us. It's unrealistic to expect fiction to always be accurate or logical. And I could care less about political correctness. Political censorship is death to art, always has been.
I come here after watching each episode and I’m amazed at the amount of criticism it gets. With some comments…
I think often people criticize and complain because it makes them feel smart or superior. At least I certainly get that vibe--that I must not be as smart as they are because I don't see all the flaws they see, or can still enjoy such a mediocre drama. It says a lot more about them than it does about the drama.
