Agreed!!! I started this drama a few days ago. Watched up to ep 4 and now putting it on hold because I CAN NOT stand FL's antics and mannerisms as you mentioned. Not sure if I'll finish it. Love Ryan Ding. Too bad I can't stand FL.

I'm wondering the same. Hei Feng Xi's real identity is a Prince of Yong, Feng Lan Xi. His Alias comes from his real name. At this point we don't know much about Bai Feng Xi's background, yet. Maybe this is also her alias, too? Wondering if this will be explained at all.

Every time Hei Feng Xi (Yang Yang) speaks I keep thinking it's Ye Hua from TMOPB 😂. This voice actor has dubbed so many popular dramas but his voice suits Ye Hua's character the best.

He is such a beautiful man. Watching him now in Decreed by Fate. Hope he gets more leading roles in the future!

Just started watching today. This has a similar feel/look to The Longest Day in Chang'An. So far so good.

I loved Ju Jingyi in Legend of Yunxi and Ruyi Pavillion but this one was a hot mess and story was all over the place. I don't think I've ever watched a drama where insignificant side characters got more screen time and storyline than the leading couple. I managed to finish all 40 episodes by watching it 1.5x the speed and fast-forwarding. Lol.

Just finished the drama today. I was wondering if someone could clarify something for me with Xu Zhu. Did he give up his relationship with the Xixia Princess? I'm kind of not clear on this because I thought they wanted to start a life together?

Yes it is! I watched it 2 years ago and every now and then when I don't have anything good to watch I would go back and rewatch my favorite scenes. The OST is sooo good, too!

I'm kind of disappointed in the FL's martial arts. She is the Emperor's bodyguard/assassin but her martial arts is lacking. I'm just not sold on her role. She doesn't look good doing it either. I hope it gets better as the show goes on.

There was a period in Imperial China where the eunuchs seized power from the ruling Emperor and court. It sounds unbelievable but it did happen. I'm only on episode 7...it can't really be that hard to kill that evil eunuch, right? Lol. I can't stand his face and how intimidated everyone is around him.
