This was the comment I was hoping I wouldn't see. 😭 I wanted to like Bite Me so bad, but I had to give up after episode 4 because it was just too boring. I'm only on episode 2 of this drama, but I'm hoping, PRAYING I won't feel the same way.

It's ok, but like the bad side of ok. Not: you ate a burger and it wasn't amazing, but it was still good "OK". More like: you were walking and then you fell and it kinda hurt, but it's not serious "OK".

So, I was mainly in this for Gameplay anyway, but for the first two and a half episodes, I was actually into it. Then after that, it gets even more slow than it was in the first two episodes. Somewhere around the middle of episode 5, it finally occurred to me that, were it not for Gameplay, I may have dropped this. That said, I did actually enjoy episode 5: First and Play FINALLY getting over their crap and all the kisses and cuddles. The director was also really handsome to me and didn't do a bad job acting. While Penelope was everything wrong with the kathoey stereotype, the boss was very stern, elegant, and didn't need to be campy to have character. I appreciated that.

If you're a Gameplay fan, watch it. He does well enough. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend. 45 minutes an episode isn't worth it for what this is and if you even if you do decide to give it a go,don't be afraid to use 2x speed.

This I didn't plan seeing on in 2022, but now realize I'm gonna see:
-another COVID variant
-another body swap BL

I'm not a fan of Louis either. Tbh I really liked Neo paired with Phuwin when they were in 'Cause You're My Boy. I get that Phuwin's "with" Pond now, but they could have gotten someone better for Neo. Now that I think about it, it's time Neo gets a lead role.

Good-looking boys in Hanbok is really all I need to be on-board for this. lol

I did notice that! I also saw the Japanese movie you're referring to and I absolutely loved it. I would enjoy if that's an aspect of this show as well.

I think the ending may have been given away a bit in the trailer, but I’m looking forward to this. It’s new and I’m glad I get to see Khaotung in a main role again.

I hear you, but enough people loved Pond/Phuwin (read: FUTS made enough money and both actors are on the younger end of the GMMTV BL actors group) to definitely warrant them getting paired together again. That said, for as predictable/typical as this may be, I feel like it won't be as bad as another recent bodyguard-to-lover BL whose name I won't mention and I'm almost certain I'll end up liking this more than FUTS.

The last time I saw this off-putting of a pairing was Tonhon Chonlatee. 😬 Miracles happen though. TC wasn't one of them, but they do happen. lol I can't not watch this.

That's not untrue. haha In fact, it's true of a lot (read: too many) Chinese dramas. There's always a 4-5 episode lull SOMEwhere. lol

Knowing what someone likes in terms of other shows could help understand what they'd like or may not like about another show. To that end, I noticed that she hadn't really seen any other dramas like this one (either in length or genre). Nothing like Joy of Life or Nirvana in Fire was on their list. So, that's all that sentence meant. I wasn't trying to say that it was somehow bad that she wasn't able to get past episode 2 or anything else negative about her preferences. I think the first couple of episodes are slow, but not boring. Not boring at all.

Perth is Australian by birth, so his Thai is what’s good. 😂 He also speaks Japanese pretty fluently.

After having skimmed your list, I can understand why it's definitely not your cup of tea. lol
This drama is long has a lot of relationships and stories to tell. It takes a while to "pick up", I guess, but it's great story-telling and character development.
