These are the reasons I think 2gether did so well. I didn't categorically hate the show, fine, but I felt the same way I felt about Oxygen by the end of it: "What is this?" "Why do so many like this?" "Did I miss something?"

I think I commented on it saying something to the effect that it made me *feel* a little gross. Not for some grand socially 'problematic' reason, but just because I was taken off guard in a way I don't like to be taken off guard..through heterosexuality (even if only in appearance) and fantasy. Admittedly, I didn't read the tags, I just knew "gay" and "Ohm", so I dived right in.
I'd have been more ok with the situation if it weren't the obnoxious public 'exposing' of their relationship. I didn't need the stupid bf and all the fights.

Yes, that's the show I'm talking about. Careful with dissing 2gether. That's like a personal insult for some people. lol I've been watching BL for about 6 years now. My first was Addicted. My first Thai BL was Make It Right, which was Ohm's debut, so I've been following him for a while. I gotta agree though. Whereas in like 2018, we had to cling to all the good things of the few BLs we got, for the past two years, we've been inundated with them. Many, if not most of them, quite mediocre and some that were just flat out poorly done.

Just wanna slip in here and mention 'Cause You're My Boy. Drake was a lead in that along with Frank (they were also coupled in 2gether). There wasn't really another couple in it either. I guess his character's younger brother and friend could have almost sorta kinda been a couple, but I remember them being just close friends. I saw that a while ago though.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if the fact that Drake is as present as he is is because he's mixed white and comes from a wealthy background. Could be wrong about that, but I've thought about that on more than one occasion.

First, Dick Cheney, a Republican, went on a hunting trip with his friend and accidentally shot him. The friend survived.

Ted Kennedy, NOT John F. Kennedy, was driving home one night with a woman and ended up driving off a bridge. Ted (again NOT John) survived, while the woman did not.

Saying "I'd rather hunt with Dick Cheney than ride with John F. Kennedy." wouldn't even make sense considering how both the man hunting with Dick Cheney AND a man riding with Kennedy were shot.

Now, is dying in a car accident funny? Death rarely is in the moment and those immediately thereafter, but it happens to us all eventually and I'm not the first nor the last to make light of death. Not sure where you were or what you were doing yesterday, but millions of people around the world of all ages were doing just that: making light of death.
