The MDl description of the Sotus is not that apt for anyone not planning on watching this drama after reading…
Tbh I watched this because I knew it was a BL classic, but after watching it, I feel like the situation described in the MDL description takes up a disappointingly excessive amount of time.
Its honestly not that bad I've seen worst(waterboy, sotus, cupidcoach). Their acting could be delivered better and…
This comment made me laugh so hard. Not because you don't like SOTUS (it really wasn't a favorite of mine either and Arthit is like the worst character I've ever known in a BL), but because you slapped it right in between The Cupid Coach and Waterboyy. Like...DAMN. lol SOTUS is one of the most, if not, THE most classic and well-loved Thai BL while Waterboyy and The Cupid Coach are like the dumpster fires of the Thai BL world. ðŸ˜lol The contrast is so stark. I can't stop laughing. But yeah, I agree with you. This show isn't that bad. I'm enjoying it.
Maybe they just mean he's gained weight? lol I dunno. This is all just my conjecture because I kinda thought the same thing as soon as he came on the screen. He looks fine though imo.
Wasn't expecting much from this one, but it's so easy to watch Singto as he's such a good actor. Plus, I finally get to see Yacht actually get paired with a guy in a BL (if there's another BL out there with him paired with a guy and not playing a straight supporting role, please let me know lol).
Episode 5 will live in my heart forever. I'm obsessed with OST for this show and that along with the glowing lights in the background, the tears, the relief in their eyes, passion and just their great acting overall. Wow. Just wow.
Is there someone who speaks Japanese that could tell me why Aoki seems to add an 'sh' sound to the end of words sometimes? The first time I noticed was in one of the earlier episodes in the scene after Ida caught Aoki spying on him during basketball practice. It was really exaggerated and Aoki seemed to be joking, so I didn't think any more of it. Then in episode 7, he says "I don't know" which I know is "wakaranai" or "wakanai", but he clearly says "wakanaish" LOL
Is this a regional thing? Or maybe a generational thing? For example, I know a lot of younger Japanese people will say "azamas"/"azas" instead of "arigato".
Feels a bit like The Cupid Coach for me…..most people hated it, but I really liked it, as it progressed. I like…
I haven't seen episodes 2-4 yet, but I really, REALLY hope this isn't another The Cupid Coach. lol I didn't exactly hate the show, but I do feel like it was largely a waste of time. lol

"It's a little sad to me how so many people didn't see the nuance of the characters in this show. It's sort of reflective of a society that values extroversion and the neurotypical over people who express themselves differently." It's interesting you say this because while the show was airing, the how each of the characters expressed themselves as individuals and their own personal developments were the main topics of the comments section rather than the bigger/overall all plot itself. We were all much more invested in why the main four were the way they were while being able to identify with their struggles. I get the criticism about it being slow, but I really don't think this was supposed to be fast-paced.
The premise of the story seems a little silly to me, but it played out well enough. I wasn't a fan of Jame's crying, but the acting was good enough overall. This is a very easy watch and is void of those particularly annoying troupes that tend to plague other Thai BLs (weird sound effects everywhere and unnecessary conflicts from random characters usually in the form of a girl). It's not super, super exciting, but it's worth the watch.
Kieta Hatsukoi is out now and it's basically all the same feels from Cherry Magic, except in high school. Also, -No Touching At All -Pornographer (and its sequels) -Takumi-kun (and its four sequels; they're kinda old, but like classic Japanese BL) -Boys Love (and its sequel...careful, these ones are dark) -Does the Flower Bloom? -Udagawachou de Matteteyo -Junjou -Silhouette of Your Voice
I don't like it that much, but I love Gameplay, so I'm gonna stick around. He could sit there and eat popsicles for 45 minutes and I'd still watch. lol
