For me, Aaron Lai's looks are too severe and I like Hank Wang a lot more, but this ep, without his hair done up…
True. Bangs-up Aaron Lai and bangs-down Aaron Lai are two very different images. Maybe something to do with how his eyebrows are covered and how that softens his face overall.
There was something slightly exciting about this for the first 7 or 8 episodes, then suddenly it got a little boring. This show is BL 101. Aside from handful of very good actors and a lot of funny scenes, nothing very memorable for me. One thing I can't shake though is how much of a personality Mork doesn't seem to have. I feel like we get a better idea of the kind of person Mueang Nan is than we do Mork. What is this guy about other than really, really loving Pi?
They really ruined Bam's character just for the conflictalways the female side character gets to be the "villain"
Yeah. She really didn't even need to be either . They could have plausibly written it as Mork's phone being stolen/hacked by any one of the dozen of MorkBam shippers surrounding him all day.
After reading the comments, I started watching this expecting absolutely nothing aside from fluff and hot guys. To that end, I'm completely satisfied so far (as of ep. 4).
This had me giggling the whole time and me realize how much I miss this series as a whole. I might have to go back and watch the whole thing again. I'm so glad that realized how special Rokkaku's character is and decided to give him his own little episode. I really loved him in the series as well. Well done.
When Oh-aew turns around to see if Teh's still there after he had already walked out....that moment when everything is telling you you did the most logical thing by ending the relationship, but your heart still pulls you back. I felt every ounce of that. Such a damn good episode.
What if Jai felt the same way as Teh? What was Teh expecting by confessing his love for Jai? Did he expect for…
I don't know about the other questions, but to answer the third one: I'm pretty sure Teh has zero concept of foresight, so he probably didn't think hard enough to begin to expect anything. lol
What I liked:acting: I'm a big Zee fan and I've been following Peak since MIR days and they did extremely well…
What I didn't like: the plot: Well, not so much the plot as much as the resolution. Not being able to eat alone is clearly a symptom of some deeper underlying problem that Dieuw has. The show is set up around this and spends many episodes trying to resolve this. Seeking professional help is referred to at several points in the show and Dieuw had done so before, with no results, but still...why not just try again? It seems Mix was doing some of his own research with a doctor on the side though judging by the last episode. If we get a season 2 and all of this ends up getting resolved, then I can forgive this part about the first installment and just focus on what I really liked about it: the flirting, the food, and the friendship
What I liked: acting: I'm a big Zee fan and I've been following Peak since MIR days and they did extremely well in this. The supporting cast was also really good and it was lovely to see so many BL faves throughout all the episodes. Speaking of MIR, I had HUGE flashbacks seeing Boom and Peak on screen again.
the premise: The premise is new and has potential, hopefully there'll be a season 2 because while I liked the premise, I didn't actually like the plot itself as much
visuals: All the actors are attractive. Not in a smoking hot kind of way, but they're all undeniably cute. I like yellow and blue, so Mix and Dieuw's clothes/apartment were just nice for me to look at.
For those confused as to what extent this is or is not a BL, I'd put it like this: there's BL among the side characters and it's heavily implied that the main characters have feelings for each other beyond friendship. This is actually said explicitly at some point. They also flirt quite a bit and it's adorable. However, there are no love confessions or romantic relationships. You know how in some BLs during the first 3-4 episodes, the main couple are besties and are all cute with each other and it's obvious they're going to end up together, but there's no actual romance yet? That's what this is for the whole time. This show's really not interested in exploring their relationship in an explicitly romantic way at all.
The lead couple is still around and still moderately famous in China. I see them pop up in movies/tv shows and…
Yes, numbers do count, not only on Weibo. They also count in the number viewers and the level of popularity of the productions that these people are in. Check the amount of productions and popularity of the productions that each of the actors have been in since 2016. It's self-evident. So, while I concede that Addicted is available here now without need of a VPN, I still maintain that 黄景瑜 is much more famous than 许魏洲, especially right now. That's not my opinion. Numbers back that up too... That said, I take your point and I'll be more aware of that in future.

I didn't say 许魏洲 wasn't working, just that he isn't as popular as 黄景瑜, which isn't wrong and I wasn't going just based on Weibo, but based on how frequently I see him around in ads, in tv shows, social media, how often he comes up in social circles etc . 黄景瑜 is literally everywhere and a much more well-known figure at this point and the productions he's been in recently have been much more popular than those for 许魏洲. So, no, everything wasn't dated, just not worded in such a way to have satisfied you enough, I guess? Let's not split too many hairs. This drama is six years old this year and was indeed removed from several platforms for a few years as others were. Sorry if you felt that that was a huge piece of misinformation on a platform for whom the Great Firewall is largely irrelevant anyway.
Edit: I see that you did. ^_^ Good to know.
