Firstly, props to the little actress who played Sora. She really does an excellent job. This starts out in a really sad place, but I'm happy for how much it really ended up warming my heart. Not as impactful for me as the first movie (which probably has to do with me being used to being gay and coming out and not used to being a father), but still a good production.
The lead couple is still around and still moderately famous in China. I see them pop up in movies/tv shows and…
I do live in China. I said “moderately” because while Huang Jing Yu is very famous, Xu Wei Zhou isn’t as much, so “moderately” was meeting in the middle. I originally watched this show in 2015. It wasn’t available for a very long time and the last I mentioned it to my friend to watch about two years ago, she said she wasn’t able to find it online and had to use a vpn to get a foreign site. So, my info’s a bit dated on that.
You have got to be one of the most paranoid kill-joys I have ever encountered. To imagine that one character,…
He seems to imply people shouldn't be interested in BLs for multiple reasons (that mostly just boil down to anything he doesn't agree with). I once mentioned how f*cked up Kla and Techno's relationship was in LBC and opens his response with "Why don't you stop watching BLs?" followed by some weird, but admittedly hilarious, ad hominems. lol
I really do not think that Oh-aew will cheat. I really doubt that. But let us see this Thursday, I hope I am right
I don't think he would either, but if it even remotely seemed like he did, I could totally see Teh overreacting about and doing/saying something that would ruin everything.
Random question: so if Gord/Morn (from Cause You're My Boy) exist in this universe, does that also mean that Non (who's name is 'Ton' in CYMB) has purposely changed his name in an attempt to reinvent himself in university? :O lol
I'm 8 episodes in. I don't think it's necessarily the acting or the story. It's the directing and the editing...probably.…
Wholeheartedly agree with this comment. I've been rewatching some bits of it now that Fish Upon the Sky is out. I love to see how much Phuwin and Neo have grown, but tbh they weren't doing a bad job here either. I also really like the presentation of real-world issues in this series.
The moon isn't a romantic symbol in this series - it's an ominous one. The moon is always changing - rising, setting,…
That's how I'm seeing it as well. All I can see in these past two episodes is a relationship beautifully, yet irreparably tearing at the seams. I'm not beat up about it yet (as of episode 2) because I'm all for Oh'Aew figuring out whatever he wants to do in life without Teh always being the primary factor and because I've always gotten a determined in some aspects, yet an overall very wishy-washy vibe from Teh.
I feel for both for them and I'm rooting for them, but if they don't end up together and depending on how they show this happening, I wouldn't be totally disappointed.
So many great moments this episode, but in the last scene, I couldn’t help connecting the presence of the moon. Promising the moon seems like something impossible to begin with and others have pointed that out. But when we see the full moon, particularly in between or near buildings, it tends to look bigger/closer than it actually is. Their promises on the roof seemed that much more hopeful, yet fragile with that in mind. Also, the moon was full. After the full moon, it begins to wane...like their relationship seems to be doing. I dunno. These are just my random thoughts. And when Oh-aew was told he was “too girly”, I felt like someone punched me in the stomach. :(
Yeah, that's true. Economic death traps and unfair trade deals aren't anything any other big economy country isn't guilty of. The US also upholds regimes with bad human rights records. The Chinese government did handle COVID bad at first, but that's one thing they actually did admit their fault on. In my life, I've never known the CCP to do that, but they actually did come out basically say, "We shrugged this off at first and that REALLY shouldn't have happened." I agree, the CCP is more a force for good than bad in the world though, but I also see America as that. Your comment was quite coherent btw. :) lol
