KBLs seems to be rated lower than usual here. The highest KBL drama is only 8.2. Best is to not take the rating at face value and make your own comparison. 8 out of the highest current possible 8.2 is very good for example.

We have good KBLs that are short too. It all comes down to execution. But sadly most of the BL production studio do not have a super big budget like your mainstream kdrama.
